The well of furies is what brings the capacity for every superpower to exist. If your character is ordinary in every way, why are you still arguing?
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, so we're in agreement. The Well of the Furies has nothing to do with Natural or Technology Origin Heroes/Villains as they don't have superpowers. Thus, this powerset does not affect those of Natural or Technology Origin.
[/ QUOTE ]
you are forgetting one very important fact, not all naturals are human.
there are plenty of naturals who have there power by race them self, so this anti-power has no effect on them. -

And also, as i stated before, i don't really care about dalsim or stretch arm strong or mister fantastic, just make it so no one can use their names ingame (input masking)
[/ QUOTE ]
I was using those examples to further your point that Marvel don't truly own copyright on such powers. :\
[/ QUOTE ]
for marvel, that's not an argument, just an excuse to be right.
you can say so many things about powers like that, but marvel AND DC will sue NC for that.
and as earlier said, NC can't afford a battle against them, especially not now. -

lower level grind = faster epics
if they want to block farming, i suggest they do something about how slow leveling go's.
[/ QUOTE ]
Levelling has never been faster then now. It should be impossible for even a hardcore player without a job or school to get a 50 in a month!
[/ QUOTE ]
i have a full jub and am a casual player, what you say is that a casual player may only have a lvl 50 after 2 YEARS.
if you like to see a game with the right XP rate and req, look at GW.
while in comparison the XP rate is higher in COX then in GW, GW has a way better XP req.
i'm already testing this, and i have seen the 2 main reasons why lvling is so slow.
the missions give a way to low reward then it's worth, and the req to go to the next level is way to high.
if they dim this, then they lower both the grind and the boring side of this game, and there is 70%more boring parts then fun parts. -
if they can ever get around this:

How about a perminant zone event.
Keppe the streets low of BP and the fog goes away, the sun comes out and it's a nice zone.
Let them gather in the streets and graveyards, the fog and gloom comes back.
Give it a couple of badges for bringing the light and it'll be sorted.
On the plus side there's no farm broadcast and plentful mobs. As said above good for a 15min street sweep.
[/ QUOTE ]
sounds fun, but it has to be a place where the mobs are depending on your level like the rikti, so it's not an exclusive high lvl place. -
in spiderman comics there is the lizard, they could do something like that.

make the XP gain 3x better and we MIGHT talk about an increase of debt.
[/ QUOTE ]
How about stop trying to make the game mind-numbingly pointless?
[/ QUOTE ]
it is pointless, it's grind.
and no, as long as there is only a hald on the fun, i keep saying what i like to say.
until xp is made better, just deal with it, bare with me, see it to no end. -

i do agree that it's strange when you see a lvl 50 players that barely knows anything about the game, but then again, that's not the player's fault, that's the fault of bad design.
[/ QUOTE ]
I love the idea that people are not responsible for their own ignorance, but I've seen too many examples in life to agree it's likely
[/ QUOTE ]
if a flaw in the learning curve of the game is ignorance, then ok. -

Levelling speed has almost doubled (MA not accounted for) in the last two years. We run a weekly event in the supergroup, where we play for about three hours every Monday with some reserved toons that are not used outside the event.
First time around, it took about 64 weeks = 192 hours to reach lvl 50. Last run, the first toons dinged 50 after 38 weeks = 114 hours. We weren't playing efficient any of those runs. We were in it for the fun, and we often used capped TFs to let stragglers keep up.
Yay for patrol XP and general XP boost.
[/ QUOTE ]
after 18 months, still no lvl 50, i call that slow. -
i think that interaction in the environment is lacking greatly, story's are just plain boring and everything is all the same all over again and again and again...etc...
i see absolutely no accomplishments around this game, the only one i can think of is every 10 levels from lvl 20 of.
but because of the worst ever grind fest of levels, having this accomplishment takes just weeks to get.(granted to be casual)
lower this time has it's benefit, and they can always make something to slow it down.
they could, for instance, make it so that you can set the XP gain in your options or where you set your difficulty.
i do agree that it's strange when you see a lvl 50 players that barely knows anything about the game, but then again, that's not the player's fault, that's the fault of bad design.
i just look at GW factions, where everything is explained on stones so you can learn everything your self on your tempo.
of they add something like this in atlas/galaxy/mercy like a tutorial contact, players learn to play the game, even on higher levels so new things can be learned. -
lower level grind = faster epics
if they want to block farming, i suggest they do something about how slow leveling go's. -
i think the whole store needs an update, i have the pound prices even while i'm suppose to have euro prices.

perhaps something more along the lines of a buff secondary based on mathematical calculation would be more fitting ?
1: Probability: +self def (lethal smashing) +self to-hit
your keen insight into variables and porbability allwo you to predict not only where your enemy will strike but also how where best to target your enemy to maximise you chance to hit (toggle: self minor slow while calculating odds)
2: Possibility: +Special (self, recharge long)
Your ability to calculate formulae allows you to change the possibilities in the world around you. Once activated, this power lasts 30 seconds. During this time any random effects affecting you will always return the more favourable outcome (eg: any roll to hit you makes two rolls and the higher roll is chosen, any roll you make to hit rolls twice and the lower roll is chosen)
3. Analysis: Ally + to hit , ally + damage
Your analysis of a situation improves your ally's ability to hit and cause damage to an opponent (target single ally, recharge medium)
4. Calculations: Ally +secondary effects
By calculating the odds and observing your allies powers you give an insight into how to optimise their secondary effects. any secondary effects of a power gain a 20% increase in effectiveness (target ally, recharge long)
5. Euclyds Posit: PBAoE , Ally +move + range + damage Foe - speed -acc, - def (all except psi)
Through your insights into the laws of Eudlidean geometry you can manipulate the physical environment around you, changing the rules of angles and distance. This effect allows all allies in range to move at a greater speed as you open routes shorter than a straight line. Any foes in the area of effect grow confused as it takes longer for them to move from point a to point b, their accuracy suffers as they try to adapt to the new rules of geometry around them.
6. Fermats Revelation: Self +recharge
By using the theories underlying Fermats famous little theorem, you can decrease the calculation time for other functions.
7. Geomterical Shift: Target :Ally +special Target: Foe -Special
By changing your ally's perception of geometry from the accepted euclidean to eliptical geometry you increase the range of his powers and the size of any AoE effects. If targetted on an enemy, you switch his mindset to Hyperbolic geomtery and thus decrease range and reduce the size of AoE effects
8. String reality: Target AoE: by targeting an area you impose the rules of string realities on all creatures within the area causing the normal concept of three dimensions to have to deal with the string theory expanded 11-dimensional model. All within the AoE that are affected are stunned while their brain adapts to the new rules of physics. Once the stun wears off, those affected have the physical properties of their powers changed randomly (smashing damage becomes lethal or energy or poison or psi , smashing defense protects against PSI or poison instead). - note: even allies within the AoE are affected.
(as an alternative: Bosonic reality: all damage types are changed to an equal mix of smashing and energy no matter what their original source was. all defenses remain the same) Once the affect wears off those affected are once again stunned as they re-adjust (alternative: anyone entering or leaving the area of effect must adjust and so gets stunned).
9: Ultimate prime: Interrupt time: ? Self: +DEF, +Rech, +ACC, +DAM
The ultimate prime number. Possibly the most powerful mathematical force there is. upon realisation of the number your entire SELF becomes whole. mind becomes body and body becomes mind. reality reacts to you and you react to reality as if you are one entity. During this time you become virtually untouchable, unaffected by mez effected, incredibly accurate and your attacks extremely damaging. All secondary effects of your powers are doubled (+100%). However, such knowledge cannot be grasped for long before burning out the user. Once the prime slips from your memory you are left broken and drained of strength both physically and metally (50% health , 5% end , stunned)
anyway, more than likely completely unbalanced.... just off the top of my head.

Personally I've always wondered how the (bleep) the masked people see throught the masks. Even if they're fairly see-through it's still a huge risk to limit your sight like that.

well if they do put better graphics into he game they sure better get new and faster servers. Last night was bloody bad, I ended up logging due to waiting 24 hours for a power to work during a hero mission.
[/ QUOTE ]
guild wars has a 3x better graphic show then COX, but there servers are not more powerful then COX.
it's more about your pc able to handle it, and there traffic being stable. -
i don't see what's so wrong seeing elec melee in a scrapper, it only makes things more fun .
