    Nice.

Now, go for the trifecta. Actually quote from it without having to look it up!

Eesh. I can't keep track of this stuff with intervening releases and bouncing back and forth between Beta and Live.

    And apparently... neither can they.
  4. If you have Test or Beta installed, check those directories... there might be a registry value not pointing to the right area.

Also, you can try to search your hard drives for any *.jpg or *.tga files created in the past few days to see if they're landing in some other directory.

Wait... I can only kill one out of ten enemies with Titan Weapons, or are you saying I can only get all my enemies to 90% of their health bar?

Just a FYI for all: You don't have to buy Titan Weapons to 'buy' the free Extender Pack. Get the pack now for free and you'll have it for whenever you buy Titan Weapons in the future.

  6. Yes, you can buy the Titan Weapon pack now for free. Even before you buy the Titan Weapons.

This way, even if you don't buy the Titan Weapons now, but do so some time in the future when you have the Points or can afford to, you won't have to pay extra for the pack.

I *hate* the color change. "Wait, are they enemies? Pets? Dead?"

You don't take a color code system for mechanical status and overlay it with more color codes for OOC status.

You can use [Walk] with pet powers now. It was in the patch on beta. I'm assuming it's in the live patch today.
Still, you can't Walk them since they can't walk.
  9. <pst... missing the new Incarnate Powers listing... and shouldn't Titan Weapons also be listed?>

    New Incarnate Abilities

    Alpha

Vigor Boost: This alpha tree focuses on boosting Healing, and secondarily boosts Accuracy and Endurance Reduction. The radial branch also boosts Fear, Sleep, or Confuse effects.

Agility Boost: This alpha tree focuses on boosting Endurance Modification, and secondarily boosts Defense and Recharge rate. The radial branch also boosts run speed, fly speed, and jump distance.

Intuition Boost: This alpha tree focuses on boosting Hold effects, and secondarily boosts Defense Debuffs and Range. The radial branch also boosts Damage, Slow effects, and To Hit Debuffs.

Resilient Boost: This alpha tree focuses on boosting Resistance, and secondarily boosts Immobilize effects and To Hit buffs. The radial branch also buffs Intangibility and Stun effects, and Taunt durations.

    Interface

Cognitive Interface: This interface tree adds a chance to confuse targets of your attacks for approximately 2 seconds. The core branch increases the chance to confuse targets, while the radial branch adds a chance for a minor Psionic damage over time (DoT) effect.

Degenerative Interface: This interface tree adds a chance to debuff a target's maximum HP when you attack. The core branch increases the chance for the HP debuff to occur, while the radial branch adds a chance for a minor Toxic damage over time (DoT) effect.

Preemptive Interface: This interface tree adds a chance for your attacks to include an additional Endurance damage over time (DoT) effect. The core branch increases the chance of Endurance drain, while the radial branch adds a chance for an additional moderate Energy damage over time (DoT) effect.

Spectral Interface: This interface tree adds a chance to immobilize targets of your attacks for approximately 2 seconds. The core branch increases the chance to immobilize targets, while the radial branch adds a chance for an additional moderate Negative damage over time (DoT) effect.

    Judgement

Vorpal Judgement: You teleport and kick all enemies you successfully hit in a cone in front of you for heavy smashing damage. The core branch adds a chance to inflict a lethal damage over time (DoT) effect on all targets struck. Using the radial branch version of the power grants you a defense bonus during and after the attack due to your quick movement.

    Destiny

Incandescent Invocation/Epiphany: This location-targeted utility Destiny power brings Assemble the Team functionality to an entire League and combines that with a potent buff to healing received and a targeted area of effect (AoE) that does both Knockback and Stun effects to foes. Its use creates a small safe zone in which your group can regroup, rebuff, and get back into the fight when it would otherwise wipe.
The core tree provides even more amplified healing on all targets. Using the radial tree provides additional utility in stealth radius, perception and move speed boosts, or even short-term phase shift for your entire league!
  10. While *extra* Tankers don't provide exceptionally more damage as would other melee or blasters nor team multipliers like the more squishies, denying a extra Tanker a slot is just stupidity, especially at level 50 when Incarnate Powers make up for those multipliers that Tankers lack.

When I run my Incarnate TF double header I always say "All ATs" and would never turn away extra Tankers.

    That leader was just dumb.
  11. This just in...

Sewer drains all over Atlas Park are now overflowing due to blockages of massive nests of giant weapons stuck in under gound pipes.

If there is someone privy to the latest updates/nerfs to the story arcs, please give me a heads up? I tried searching about it as an update on the forums but came up with nothing.

There were no nerfs. The A-Merit was always a once-a-week reward for any one toon regardless of which arcs they did, the exception being the first time a toon did a new arc.

These stories are not meant to be farmed for their rewards except once a week if you so chose. And the weekly gate is because of the specialness of the reward: An alignment merit.

  14. I thought this thread was going to be about sandwiches.
  15. Go the the Launcher and select Repair Files then a reboot.

See if the problem persists in Safe Mode, too.

    Stacking holds

If you go to City of Data, you'll be able to look up the mechanics of those powers. Also, in-game, you can right click on a power for info, or, in chat surround the power names with brackets to create a hyperlink for the info box, e.g., [Freezing Touch].

Both of those powers have a Mag of 3. A boss has a Mag Protection from Holds at 3. In order to hold you have to *beat* the Protection, not tie it. And so, you'd need to stack both powers to hold the boss, or, if the duration of the hold is long enough, reapply the same hold to stack it.

The Hold Proc's magnitude of hold will also stack, so, you can get lucky and hold a boss with just one application of the power. The Hold Procs are Mag 2 for 8 seconds.

All Holds that we know of have their "Strength" defined as their Duration, and not as their Magnitude. So, any Enhancement to the "Strength of the Hold" will enhance the duration of the Hold, and not its Magnitude.

However, Magnitude is scaled by relative level. A Boss that is a level lower than you will have just slightly less than Mag 3 protection (I'm not sure of the exact number, but somewhere around 2.8 Mag). This means you can hold a lower level Boss with just one application of Freezing Touch, e.g. And it works the other way, too. You'll find that a Lieutenant, who has a Mag 2 Protection will, as they outlevel you, hit that magic number of Mag 3 in which one application of your hold will stop working on them.

Minions have a Protection of 1. Lts are 2. Bosses are 3. Elite Bosses are 6. AVs are 3 when their special AV Resistance is down (1/3 of the time) and 50 when that "Pink Triangles of Doom" are up.

Is this one of those situations where someone wrote custom code to link the forum software to the account verification system and then moved on leaving the code largely uncommented and undocumented, and now the people dealing with it have to figure what the original coder did?
And throw in a "And your little character copy tool, too! <cackle>"

Did they tell you that the new build was getting sick from being confined to the Internet, so, they brought it to a farm upstate so that it can run free and healthy with all its friend-builds?
