Please don't use that "word". Every time someone uses it, Lord Recluse gives Westin Phipps a puppy. A cute puppy.
  2. Well they're still tweaking the reward rate in DA, for instance the repeatable missions being offered currently reward 2 threads on a 20 hour cool down (and 1 thread thereafter) but they're considering a reward table into it like the arcs (Though not necessarily the same rewards).

And it still beats the 'nothing' that's in place now. Non-Alpha Non-Trail incarnate progress is largely week to week (SSA rewards), or converting shards to threads which is just -glacial, so it'll be welcome to hang out in DA and get dailies when trials aren't going.

Also! Shards drop frequently during Hamidon raids, plus Hami himself is worth 4 shards, quite handy if your server runs frequent raids
  3. Damn Zwill, you're such a jerk. Coming in here being all reasonable and forthcoming and honest with your answers. I mean, how dare you not let us sit and stew in our pointless nerd rage and indignation.
  4. And completely ruin the 'big selling point' for the 'grey' alignments.

Yeah, I apologize. Had I known what he was like I'd have held my tongue.
  6. I was kind of wondering the same. Arbiter Hawk is a red name, soooo probably why. Plus he arbiter outfit doesn't allow for much variation except with the head. Whoever made the NPC may not have been thinking that the hair/glasses combo had already been used

You'll be able to get Astral Merits from Dark Astoria. And don't forget the SSA goodies, 1 astral and 10 threads a week.

And it depends on what you're building. If you're going for a T3, then you just need to run a WST for the Notice and you can use the astrals for the commons you'll need.

Astral Merits can convert to shards on a 1 to 1 basis, go talk to Astral Christy. They also can buy 4 threads, when you get to doing the higher slots. You get them as account items in your e-mail, so this is how you can mail your alts incarnate goodies.
  10. I wouldn't discount the weekly strike target. Heck right now it's just the 2nd respec trial, requires a low amount of people, pretty easy to nab a rare, just have to pull together a group doing it. Sometimes folks will even announce here on the forums when they want to form one.

The way I did it was to craft a common from Shards (+1 from the Alpha unlock arc, +3 from farming Peregrine, 1 Gr'ai matter from doing the 35 - 50 Vanguard arcs, +4 shards from joining in on a hamidon raid). crafted an uncommon with thread stuff, then made a rare with shard stuff and a notice from the WST. Went pretty quick. But Victory has a pretty active community for doing end game stuff too

    Also, maybe.

Mind you, I don't know the full arc, and wonder if it's being taken out of context, but I am suprised to see people clamour for realisism then balk at the idea of it.
There is no 'arc'. It's just a repeatable mission. The contact is one of the 5 in First Ward that offers repeatable missions. He's the villain contact, and there's one for Loyalists, Resistance, and Heros, plus a 'catch all' that offers to everybody (Vickers).

Part of it is just the questions being asked. If it isn't announced yet, they can't talk about it, so asking for "New power/costume/zone" that hasn't even been teased is a pretty fruitless pursuit.

Yeah if you pop open your abilities, go check anything you've got fully slotted for recharge, you'll see instead of the typical 96 (or so, I forget the cap) It'll be up to like 104ish. At the low tiers it's not -too- noticeable because very little of it overcomes the cap. It's more noticeable in powers you -don't- have recharge capped, because it's like you dropped a whole Single Origin recharge into it.
  15. I'll be honest, I didn't even know it was meant to be a secret that Crey was supposed to be a more 'neutral' group at first before uncovering them. The game is pretty hamfisted about them being villains from word one, I mean, there's no point you can run into any of them in any area and they're -not- immediately hostile to you. It's really less "Are they evil? I dunno, HMM" and more "Ok, they're clearly evil, I wonder why".

You really want to throw ambiguity on a group, simplest solution is to use Praetoria's new trick and make them neutral to you. Less outright obvious if they don't attack you on sight >>

  17. what's witht he completely vacuous expression? Huntress actually looks appropriately "GRR! ACTION". PG on the other hand... looks like she's trying to remember something

    V Day tips

14 missions that only cost travel time. I just racked up 3 tips I could do and then just hit teleport/tram. heck one time I got 2 to Positron, made it even easier. Then just back to wiping out crowds til another 3 drop.

  22. well, the real core of the reason is that it would remove any drama or significance from the death. But it is fairly arbitrary as far as why one thing works and one doesn't, in the end the writers decide that, which is a bit hoaky but this is a video game about comic book super heroes. Besides, people won't be happy one way or the other, so screw it and just push on with the writing. There's never going to be any neat fix, however loosely or well written, that is going to please everybody.
