This is pretty much what the Halloween tip mission is about, giving you an Evil Artifacttm and choosing what to do with it. For variety's sake I certainly wouldn't mind it, though not applying it to everything.

Question is in the title really. I've been playing this game since August and for the life of me, I cannot understand why there is no way to find TF contacts unless a mission leads you to it, you wiki it, or happen to run into them on accident.

Obviously a number of them are dead simple to find, like all the Signature Hero task forces. But then there's stuff like Katie Hannon or Hess or Moonfire. It's just a bit absurd.

So is there a development reason this has never been implemented?

Just ran into this on my SS/will brute on exalted. Tried running through Darrin wade's arc, got to the finale and... well he never gave me the temporary disguise power to sneak into the midnighter club, so I couldn't do anything. Bugged it and hit autocomplete, hopefully I was just a fluke but just a heads up for folks

pretty sure you have to tag along on a villain doing scratch's missions before you unlock the snaptooth missons from Zero. You only need to do 1 ganymede/scratch arc to unlock the valentine attunement from Zero, you need to do both to access snaptooth.

I kind of like the choice of 2 different ATs with two very different power sets that let me enjoy having mechanically useful canine pets in very different contexts around.

yeah so awful having a canine pet in a usable power set when we've already had an easter egg in a limited time trial, a vanity pet, and a cosmetic travel power. ******* those devs for giving us a canine rig that has actual use in the game.

There are plenty of 50+ NPCs in the world -now-. Just go check out the Rikti Warzone, for example.

I'll tend to take just about any of the hero tips. I'm a bit choosier about the villain tips after I run them once. I think in particular there's the Bubbling Vial of Liquid? I don't quite recall the title, but it pits you up against you multiple Longbow double boss spawns, the ones that are all pretty highly mezz resistant and hit like brickhouses. It was just a stonewall for my dominator, even using insps I couldn't kill them fast enough, and the allies you rescue did -not- last long enough against them. ;p

As for the Unusual Suspects vs One Good Spider, it depends on what I want. If I just want a quick merit, I'll take Suspects. If I want to chew through bosses for drops, I'll take one good spider, since it dumps wave after wave of bosses on you, especially if you let the timer run out during the rescue.

I dunno, I don't really see the issue causing any conflicts with Spring fling. The centerpiece is an Incarnate Zone and the new power sets, seems pretty mutually exclusive with a few early/mid level contacts and the tips. If the content overlapped in some fashion, I could see them putting it off for that reason. As it is, I don't see it as a good reason to put it off. It wouldn't surprise me though.

given the lack of beta patches, the lack of any show stopping bugs, the introduction of the super packs and some of that functionality being hung up in I22, plus so many devs commenting in some way it's coming soon, I'm inclined to agree, maybe not tuesday but its definitely in the realm of weeks, single digit.

No they've been pretty upfront that Statesman is dead dead, no coming back. But yes there is the matter of who -else- will die. And that Wade is still out there trying to pull off his mad plan

Yeah, bit disappointed, they were kicking these out pretty regularly around the 1st/2nd week reliably, sad to see it's going to just start kicking around any time in a given month ;p

Though honestly, could just be waiting for I22 to publish everything together.

You can purchase them through the new super packs or via merit vendors, both for Reward Merits and Astrals. They're not cheap, on the magnitude of several hundred merits and a 4 day cool down.

And I think it was said when I22 goes live they will drop from mobs, but I could be wrong or misinformed.

All the more indication I22 isn't far off.
