There's an update today (and another tomorrow) so the server might be getting hammered right now. More likely, though, is that there's a clog somewhere between you and the servers.

Yeah, check below it though

good to see they keep on top of things

Such is the nature of these things. Every time there's a major update, you have to go in to your arc(s) and make sure it works again. Preferably after reading the patch notes.

~Allies often get "stuck" and don't do anything. They will stand there without attacking. This is particularly annoying if your mission is set up so that you can have the ally help you kill a difficult boss, even solo.

I started getting this, too. VERY annoying bug. -
Known issue, I think. Should hopefully be fixed in tomorrow's update.

This does sound bad. Has anyone logged in and NOT had the consignment house break for that character? (It could also be that certain items are not working right, or items in a certain state.)
-
Your video drivers are pretty old. Unfortunately, the latest drivers from nVidia have been pretty bad. Try installing these slightly old drivers. (The latest drivers DO work for a lot of folks, including me, but it's easier to upgrade than downgrade so I would try the older ones first.)

Enhanced Enhancement Diversification?

You can also go up to the URL and change https://boards..... to be http://boards..... The 's' causes the connection to try and be secure, which is what makes this mess.

Should mention that there's always a light source in-game and to keep that in mind when taking pictures.

Yeah, I sometimes wish I could put a flash on my screenshot camera. -
High speed screen capping by mashing the button? Dude, you're doing it wrong.
1. Take a demo of you doing the actions with the /demorecord DemoNameYouWant command.
2. Play the demo back using the demo dump option. My demo player (see link in sig) can do that for you, no problem. In the FPS box, put how many screenshots you want per second of the demo.
3. Wade through the thousands of screenshots and find the ones with great action.
I recently recorded the Reichsman fight and got over 30 good shots this way. (Though it works better with easier battles. It's easier to put the camera in good positions when you aren't fighting for your life.)
Makes it easy to get shots like this and this! And I was just taking 3 shots per second. Crank it up to 10 and you won't miss a thing. (You probably won't have any free space on your hard drive, either, but that's what hard drives are for!)
P.S. ImageShack got hacked yesterday. Hopefully these images will still work. -
Yep, Ragdoll is server side so, if you see a bad guy stuck in a wall weird, everybody does.
Another thing that's client side is the junk stuck to slag golems. It will look different for each person and, if you let a demo loop with slag golems, their junk will be different on each run through. -
Oh! Of course, it's in the Program Files directory!! Yeah, Wings has it right.

For the record, there's none in there.

Gorram it, how could he have possibly known we were going to suggest that!!??
P.S. I'll put 5 to 1 odds on a fan being a tad off kilter. -
Could be, have you /bug'ed it?
-
I searched and searched but I couldn't find any setting that would make my production version work or the test version break. Test and Prod both have the same versions of the application, too, so I don't know what's going on with this problem.
So I'll just copy any demo I want to dump to the Test side and dump it there. -
[ QUOTE ]
Just tried a random demo and it dumped fine, game's updated to what's on live. Is the demo itself working without the dump?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep. I've tried old demos, new demos, jpg, tga, windowed mode, full screen - I even created the folder the screenshots would end up in just in case that old bug had returned. Nothing. The first time it tries to save a picture, it bombs out to the Cryptic (ahem) crash report form.
AH HA! But it works fine when I run off of Test. I bet there's some setting causing this problem. -
[ QUOTE ]
I would definitely doublecheck the "save as.." folder designated in that program. The files have to be somewhere.
[/ QUOTE ]
For sure. Irfanview remembers your last directory so if, say, you were looking in Program Files instead of Program Files (x86) then it would do something just like what you describe.
Vista's indexing is pretty amazing, assuming you haven't turned it off. Just search on your jpg and it should pop right up. -
Campus IT is definitive. Reality, however, often has failings. It is not campus IT's responsibility to keep track of reality bugs.

It says the problem is I don't have Microsoft Framework and when I tried installing that I keep getting error reports during the process.
[/ QUOTE ]
That can't be good. I thought the Microsoft Framework was part of Windows XP SP2?
Well, at any rate, spend some serious time with the Windows Update system, get XP SP3, and we'll see what goes on after that. -

I think the Titans always had those powers, they just didn't work properly before.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ding!
The tinkering with AI that we've been doing has caused some powers that previously NEVER got used to start showing up in the attack rotations.
[/ QUOTE ]
PowerS? Plural? Ooooo! I wonder what else is waiting for us? Maybe those D.E. spawning things will actually start spawning D.E.? -
I can't get demodump to work anymore. The game crashes after drawing the first frame and no folder is created for the screenshots. Anyone else have any luck?
-
Actually, does that multiple-updaters thing work? I just tried and the game pops up an error message when I try starting a second updater (an error that pops up behind the updater form!).

Honestly, the entire Options window needs to be scrapped and done again. Preferably after forcing the dev to read Windows User Experience Guide. I'm sorry, but that thing is a mess. Double-negative options, buttons on the wrong side... yuck. This game has so many great interfaces, why is this one so pathetic??
