Quote:It's called City of Heroes and has two out of three images down below showing people in superhero tights, one with a cape, and flying.Ummm...
Would be nice if they noted it was a supers genre MMORPG somewhere in the ad in case some folk never heard of it.
If they can't figure it out, they should be in a special ed. class, not playing an MMO. -

Raid?
The ultimate enemy of our super heroes is a ****ing amoeba? Pass.
Cathedral of Pain may indicate something to do with Rularuu.
Rularuu, a universe consuming god of madness and destruction as the ultimate enemy? Yes, I can buy into that, very Galactus-like.
And not a ****in' amoeba. -
Quote:Yes they are, though people generally wait until later levels before slotting sets, there's nothing wrong with doing it at lower levels. I usually start slotting sets around level 25.Thank you so much, Stargeek! You're very kind. Do you mind if I friend you?
I actually had about 20,000 influence to start out with and I got down to 3 influence.
I did a lot of fumbling around - for instance, I had this Zephyr recipe that would make an enhancement for run speed and flight speed and like two other stats, so I bought three of the salvage pieces needed for it, only to find out that the fourth piece is super-rare and sells for like 700,000 influence. So I couldn't get it.
In the process I went broke. xD
I think I grasp how things work now.
I've been thinking, though - Are IOs worth the time and money investment when compared to just buying enhancements from stores?
A good, knowledgeable invention set setup can turn a bad character good, and a good character amazing.
It's not required to play the game, but a lot of people consider it quite nice. -
In order to give gifts on Steam, you need to know the other person's Steam ID.
On the other hand, I don't believe there's anything preventing you from simply giving them your code if you buy it via Steam, as it isn't immediately tied to the account. I suggest investigating first to make sure, but I've done this before. -
This is mine

I am trying to buff my friend with Mystic Fortune, and can't. I can use my Aid Other on him, but not Mystic Fortune. I'm a hero, he's a vigilante, but that shouldn't make a difference.
Something I'm missing here? -
I don't think they're in, but what are they? Do we know?

The "Trading House" is in Imperial City. It's a purple starburst icon on the map. It's about a block west of the Tailor.
-
Quote:lolEveryone in Imperial City talks kind of like that, but he is definately the most pronounced about it. I long for the chance to break his needlessly repetitive mouth open and pour boiling scorpions inside.
Yeah I hate the way he talks. Him and Praetor Sinclair's assistant are ANNOYING AS HELL to talk to.
I would be okay if it were just a character quirk of a single character but there are, I believe, at least 3 in the Imperial City who do it to some extent.
It's annoying. Very annoying. -
I've noticed quite a few asking noob questions and such on Virtue in between missions.
-
I've been trying for a good 8-10 hours.
I keep getting this error:
We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or tomorrow. If you continue to have problems, you may wish to visit one of our retail partners. -
I have been trying to buy the MA pack for a few hours now. I have not been able to get any transaction through, My card is valid (and I'm using paypal, which always works for this site), and I have the funds.
Is it just overloaded with traffic and I should try in a few hours, or is something wrong? -
Quote:The issue isn't that the slots are never coming back or anything ridiculous like that, it's that we're being forced, if we want to make new characters, to make them on another server, isolating us from our SGs and friends in many cases.Okay, small consolation, but the slots are NOT lost. They will come back up when the store comes up.
Do they need to fix (or, more appropriately BREAK) the link between the store and the redeemed slots (either purchased from the store or from vet awards)? Absolutely. But please don't make it out to be worse than it is:
Slots redeemed WILL become available one the store is back up. Let us give them time to fix it. THEN we can urge them to prevent it from happening again.
It's.. kind of ridiculous on launch day!
Someone needs to whack these netops guys in the nuts a few times for their monumental failure! -
Quote:Do you want a tissue? You have some **** on your nose.Quit your moaning, everyone. Every game has problems when a major update/expansion is issued. It's a glitch that will be corrected! Patience, patience, and more patience.... there will be plenty of time to play the new content.
And thank you DEV for responding to this thread You guys are AWESOME!
Fact is, this is unacceptable. Period. This is an alt-driven game, and large numbers of people have those extra slots. GR even comes with free slots! I have 11 50s and multiple 40s and quite a few lower all on Virtue. I have almost all three pages filled, so I had to roll on Guardian..
But I want to level pact, so I can't level above 5 because when I transfer the pact will break.
This is junk. -
EDIT: No need to get myself banned today.

Thank you for the reply..
...and lololololol what a waste of development time. -
I don't have Alienware (overpriced garbage), but I am pretty curious as to what this means exactly.
Anyone know? Any replies appreciated.
Alienware Lighting Support
- There is a new AlienFX section under Menu -> Options -> Graphics and Audio.
- AlienFX support is defaulted to "on" so any player with the AlienFX Command Center and appropriate hardware will instantly see color changes.
- In City of Heroes / City of Villains, the lights will change as a player's character changes their alignment from Hero to Vigilante to Villain to Rogue.
- In Praetoria the lights will change as players make moral choices between Resistance or Loyalist.

Does Knockout Blow use Blaster melee modifiers?
As in, does it hit ridiculously hard?
And does it get the customization like Super Strength does?
