Okies, thanks for the advice.
I really like Cremate so I think I'll put it in there. I understand that Incin is a better attack overall but the DoT annoys me slightly.
Concerning running the chain, I seem to recall from some thread that you need about 85% global rech. (+ Hasten) to run this chain, and good recharge in all your attacks.
I will have both the END and RECH. alpha slots available eventually but I thought I'd go for recharge at first so Shield Charge and FSC can come back even quicker. -

Thanks for the replies Shred and Gaidin.
I would say I examplar occasaionally, so maybe putting the Hecatombs in Cremate would be best? Since I get that at L2. I've put Crushing Impacts (w/o the Dam/End piece) + an Acc/End/Rech IO in Incin and GFS.
Will probably go for the Recharge Alpha Slot btw.
My build for reference. (And for you to check if I've done anything stupid. :P) -
If I'm running the attack chain Incin --> GFS --> Cremate, which power is best to put Hecatombs in? I will have Mako's and Crushing Impacts in the other two powers.

Made a quick build on Mids for you since no-one replied. I didn't use any expensive purples so cost shouln't be too much of an issue. I made it with 32% Smashing/Lethal Defence so popping a purple softcaps you. You should be able to juggle enemies around with two holds, Ice Patch, Frozen Aura and Shiver.

Yeah, I don't solo much unless I'm switching sides or getting a badge mission for an Accolade really. I think I'll respec into Aid Self and see how it plays out.

Thanks Person34, i totally agree with the fact that you don't really need Aid Self. Your fort sounds like great fun as well! I find myself just using Psychic Wail pretty much everytime it's up, instead of an "Oh £&@!" button, as it's up every few minutes with a high recharge build.
Stacking assaults sounds like a solid idea, and I Lunge and Dart Burst while I was levelling up for some variety and to ramp up my ST damage from the hidden status. So many great options to go with SoA toons! -
End is fine on this build.
Potentially taking Aid Self for i19 though not sure, since I get plenty of greens/oranges and can stock up for more important situations.
I wouldn't farm with it personally, as I have better toons for that, but I guess it could pretty easily against the right foes. -
Yes, I have a build similar to this and it is great fun to play. Silas' builds are top notch, as I'm sure many will agree and I would trust pretty much all of the advice that he gives in that Fort guide as well.
For i19, I'm thinking of putting Aid Self and Dart Burst into my build, or maybe Total Domination. Now I think of it, maybe even Darkest Night . Either way my Fort is one of my favourite and most powerful toons to play, not to mention it gives some great team buffs. -
Mainly what the previous two posters said, and I have a build that might help you out a bit too. Just finished IOing/playing my DP/Kin to 50. Good damage, good survivability when you have your SL Def softcapped. Try not to get yourself killed during HoB is all I can say. :P
This is the build I have live atm, plan to put Apocs and Ragnaroks (In Pistols and Bullet Rain respectively) when the price comes down a bit. I only lose 7.5% Rech and 80% Rech isn't too bad anyway!

Redraw could get annoying with the healing in Pain so you might want to look for a non-weapon primary, or alternately use a less intensive secondary, such as Rad. This is just my opinion, but if you want to carry on with it just say and I can try and help you with a build etc.

Yeah will probably be a few bill when I get one to Level 50, I have a Cold/Sonic with about 80% Global Rech and having Heat Loss with little downtime is really fun.

Very powerful combo in teams or solo. Can solo AVs etc. with the right build, as I'm sure Silverado will be happy to tell you all about.

I'll comment on the team build for you as I don't solo that much.
1. Personally, I would NEVER skip Blaze. It's a solid damage attack with a 1 second animation, so it's not as if it's getting in the way of your buffing/debuffing.
2. The shields need to be slotted with defence, not resist.
3. You took Flares at 47? I usually skip it if I have Fire Blast/Fireball/Fire Breath and Blaze anyway.
4. I would skip the snipe, especially if this is your teaming build. 3+ second animations will probably just end up annoying you and you could be doing lots more useful things in that space of time.
5. Benumb needs some accuracy. It's a really good debuff, especially on AVs.
6. Frostwork is skippable, but if you really want to take it, I would just out one recharge in. I guees it's a little more useful now Tanks have had their HP Cap increased.
7. Slot Sleet for Recharge and put the Achilles' proc in if you can (2 rech/+Proc)
8. Assault needs two end red max imo.
9. Decimations are generally considered better than Entropic Chaos, unless you are looking to buy up things cheaply.
10. Consider Hasten, it's great for getting your AoEs back, aswell as all your debuffs. (Heat Loss!)
11. Just slot Infrigidate with two Lysosomes or an Acc.
For reference, here is a build I had planned for a Fire/Cold which I really liked. I like it even more now Arcitc Fog gives Smashing/Lethal Defence :P It has capped SL defence as I used the Scorpion Shield and not bad recharge either. The slots in sprint are for when i19 hits and I can out some End Mods in Stamina. A Miracle proc will go in Health aswell.

Here's a build with Rain of Fire, just 2.5% less Rech than Sant's. Hope you get some good ideas from it. You might want a little Acc in your Drain Psyche btw, but purples are giving you a nice bonus so can understand why you didn't.

I'm curious as to what people use as an "alpha" attack, or is it a just run in and hope the sleep aura sorta works technique? I can see how the KD can be useful but it's a chain power so obviously there's going to be some delay.

Will cost you a bomb, but has perma PA pretty easily.
Only altered it briefly, so I'm sure more refined changes could be made, but this seems pretty decent to me.
