You can't have strong without pretty if you're taking about energy aura...that's where the pretty comes from .

My soft-capped WM\EA brute (aptly named "Pretty and Strong") who solo's +2\x8 spawns with EASE says differently. Even with some basic IO slotting it could do x8..post IO's....it is definitely STRONG and PRETTY. WM and EA do go well together...but like most defense sets....it's late blooming.

Just like bacon, claws goes good with just about everything (where allowed).

    4. i dont know how a pain MM should be slottet in PvP but the things above had to be said
The OP actually waited ~3 days, not 7 hours.

To the OP...I'd ask in the PvP section as vernichterhelge suggests, you're more likely to get a quicker answer.

I wouldn't say its worth it though, as the heal is really pitifully small. Even if you hit several mobs with it. Not worth the slot, especially if you've got other sources of healing.
Sounds like something that needs to be tested!

From what I recall it will only fire once...like +RCHG in force feedback.
  7. Things this strong never really die...they're far to pretty to.

DS/FF here...and I can say that I approve of the little benefit of a sleep side effect every now and then..

You're only 4 slotting your lt's? And for +RES only? That doesn't seem right.
  10. I've been exceptionately happy with (believe it or not) my demon\ff MM. Force fields make the tier1\2 pretty durable on top of their resistance...but it's what it does to the demon prince that I love the most since he has a sizable DEF already...before I bring my stuff. It's pretty easy to soft cap him and with him being the boss pet he runs at my level....yum

I've been itching to make a poison as well, but I just can't wait until level 38 for the combo to shine...and I have NO doubt that noxious gas on the demon prince will be insane.

I also see a few Arrows that do -res that would stack with Demon attacks too.

    /thoughts?
I've started working on a DS/TA as well...my one single problem with the set has always been that the sets power is centered around a level 35 power (oil slick). I'm sure it'll be crazy once you have demons + oil slick...but getting there (which is true for TA with any MM set) can be a chore..at least that has been my experience.

I would rather concentrate on one harder target for less CD and less end than a "chance" for more targets with a much smaller chance to KD. Also, I am very good with cones because of playing dark melee, I actually am fond of most cones, I just don't want to have to take the extra time on a mastermind for a power like this. I will probably have enough to worry about as it is lol. Most people suck with small cones also.
As a mastermind I find it more useful to KD up to 10 enemies as opposed to one hard one...but that's just my play-style. With crack which you could slot +FF in it and have a pretty reasonable chance of it going off..not something you could do with lash. In the end it's all about style...play-style that is.

It is also good to run through TF and then recall team to the place you need to be. I think PFF is VERY nice imo.
I think it's fine on a defender or controller...but with MM, you cannot control your pets and they lose their supremacy bonus when you run personal force field. I've rarely been in a scenario where I personally needed it as a MM.

Again it could be a taste thing (I don't make MM FF toons to provide the kind of support you do), but I find PFF highly situational as a mastermind and I never pick it up except towards the end when I have nothing better to pick up (typically lvl 49). If you're found it that useful I think that's great, just not something that fits my playstyle. If I wanted to teleport\rez\zoom to other spots on the map...I'd make a dark MM with superspeed (which would do all the above that you mentioned, but without needing to dip into pools).

    Demons/what?

And Force Field . I know...everyone think's traps is better...but I love my Demon\FF mastermind. The demon prince's defense plus my +DEF from force field makes him quite the monster to deal with.

Are any of the other powers worth taking to protect Minions? or what other Force Field powers would you recomend?
Before you enter the realm of IO's, what I normally pick up on my Force Field masterminds are:
    force bolt - duh..required...no slotting
    Deflection Shield - 3DEF
    Insulation Shield - 3DEF
    Dispersion Bubble - 3DEF\1(or more)-END

Also Repulsion Bomb isn't a horrible power and something to look at. I personally never take personal force field on my MM's...but that's a personal preference.
  18. It's pretty easy to get at least 3 targets (solo) with crack whip...on an 8 man team it's even easier to get the target cap (10). So if you're skilled with cones, it's not a bad place for a force feedback proc. Also, I personally find Crack Whip superior to lash or corruption because it's a multi-target knockdown (that just happens to do decent damage + it has -RES on top of that)...that's what I use it for primarily...it's a way to help mitigate some damage. It doesn't really require heavy slotting to make it useful and therefore if you got the slots I'd put a feedback proc in it (I know I will).

Hurricane\tornado\lightning storm..not so much. There isn't a whole lot that I could find, when it comes to synergy, that storm offers a melee set like demons.

Just my opinion though....freezing rain is really the only thing that I can think of that would really be useful (and steamy mist to boost elemental resistance). As FOTM as it may be, to me, demons\dark goes really well together.

For me, because I HATE having to buff my minions every 4 minutes, I'm going to be doing either pain or dark (probably both). Poison is REALLY attractive for noxious gas on the demon prince, but not sure if I could wait until level 38 for that.

Is the bug still in oil slick where the pets will go running away? Reason I ask is the demons is a very melee oriented set and with TA..that could be problematic.

    Arsonist

I made a thugs\FF mastermind once...got him into the 30's and even then with the redshirt having insane defense he still died a lot (probably due to his level since at that point he's -2 to me, which means he's at least -2 to even cons).
  22. I do, and have, farmed a little with my thugs\dark and what really makes it easy is when you can corner pull a spawn with darkest night into a tar patch. When they start coming around the corner I jump in front of them and hit fearsome stare...and then the boys go to work and the entire spawn is done in ~20 seconds or so.

The key is being able to get a x8 spawn bundled up as tightly as possible on a tar patch and corner pulling does the trick (at least for me).
  23. FF....why? Because no one else will be FF. It'll be all dark\therm\pain\storm's running around. Besides they have decent resists and layered resist + defense tends to work out pretty well.
  24. I would say either energy or electricity. I rarely see any of these in the late game (especially energy)

I personally would not slot Night Fall with -tohit instead of damage. If I really wanted to buff -tohit, I'd do it in Tenebrous Tentacles. I used to do that but really didn't see the need with dark pit in my arsenal. You've also selected to go without speed boost, which could be a problem on teams (if you worry about that sort of thing). I've found that, while I can solo just fine, finding a team is pretty easy because I have (and slot) speed boost.
