  1. Fairly certain this is sort of the wrong forum for this - because in the Suggestions forum, this is a much-and-occasionally-hotly debated topic (in regards to customization and the inclusion of female henchmen in general).

And it reads more like a suggestion in the OP. Still, point is... it's something that's been batted around on the forums a lot, with a number of fairly good reasons that it can't be implemented properly (the call files for summoning henchmen and upgrades, the legal duplicity around the concept of female henchmen, etc.) on either count without a lot of futzing around.
  2. Grats L_D for the win, and condolences to Crestent this round.

And a special thank you to all our participants, for putting out some great works this month! I look forward to next month eagerly. :3

Btw, you Rookery Idiots are slacking, Im only at -2 rep so far.
You assume you're worth the time investment.

Which, while cute, is something I doubt is realistically the case.
  4. First and only Purple I got, I gave to a friend who could actually use it more then I could. The purple in question? One of the purple Pet sets, given to my friend's Grav/Rad.

Picked it up on my MA/FA scrapper. Could've probably turned it into Inf, but eh. I was SK'd up in the group - awesome things that I pick up in such situations, I'd rather turn over to someone that can get mileage out of it. Color me weird.

    ...Is weird purple?

Don' pay it no mind, mang.

Some people just got persecution complexes, and have to turn 'Off-handed and possibly tactless joke' into 'HATEFUL MEAN-SPIRITED ATTACK'. It's a human psychology thing - and I stress the human part, because we're all monkeys here. Ain't nuthin' different 'bout nobody!

...Personally, I find the wider range of association somewhat refreshing, and amusing at the same time. It's always fun to find out how similar cultures are at their center-points. Or maybe that's just my inner sociologist poking her head out.

End of the day, though, s'all good, right? :3

(Disclaimer: This post may be unintentionally soap-boxy. It's really supposed to be more conversational, but like always, my point got lost somewhere after the start. To those having trouble finding out what that point was... Ignore the haters, their 'thing' is being grumpy and bitey. Grrgrr. Arrrrgh.)

(P.S.: I, for one, welcome our international visitors! I'd say overlords, bu-

The editorial department would like it to be known that the author of this post was sacked before she could say something predictably silly, and get into beef with our legal department. Instead, have a cat. )
  8. So, I remade my character for my local D&D group to something more amusing (since it's pretty clear we're not taking this seriously). A swordsage/monk who's entire build is centered around throwing things. 'Things', in this context, eventually becoming 'dragons' or any other ridiculously large things she can get her hands on (game goal: Suplexing a dragon).

When doing up my equipment, though... I decided to overplan things (gogo magic haversack!) and bought up any interesting looking item from the Player's Handbook and a few other places. I ended up with... 100' of silk rope, a grappling hook, 4 pitons, 2 buckets, a block and tackle, a shovel, crowbar, hammer, miner's pick, a small mirror, my identification and travelling papers, 3 map cases with 5 sheets of paper each, and some of the other usual travelling anemities (bedroll, waterskin, and so on).

Which is more junk then I usually bother carrying around. >> I'm going to try and find an excuse to use all of my mining equipment (and my nifty Profession: Miner) at some point, because why not? :3 Still got a few extra gold, though, and am still trying to think of other cheap things I can throw into the mix (though I'm running out of space to logically PUT things).

    Hit that wall myself. :/

Ironically, it's got me considering making an image-signature just to have all the crud I'd normally put in there available, despite the fact I was originally opposed to the idea. Or, rather, opposed to the idea of doing more work then I really wanted to. :/
  10. Totally forgot to give a good morning to my favorite sackman!

    *Slorps Fedor.* :3
  11. *Naps on Fey's head.*

Still adjusting to new board stuff myself - rather upset I decided to fix some stuff in my signature, as we're apparently limited to just 5 lines now. :/ Means I may just have to break down and make a banner for some of my more important random things.
  12. This thread delivers.

Whether you want what it delivers, however, is certainly subject to debate.

Sam, you always have that amusing way of voicing stuff I keep thinking in my head, and doing it far better then I could. <3

But anyway I'm still around and about mostly. Don't like the new forums though so probably even less inclined to visit sadly
Someone will have to poke me when there's something interesting to see though.
    I'll take the case!

I think that about sums Dragonberry up rather nicely.

...wait, did I give away the ending? D: Oh man.
  17. Hah - not alone, mang.

I had to go through and make a new bookmark because my old one still links to the UBB boards that no longer exist.

    Virtue is dying

I'm rather glad that I don't really have any characters I wanna use double-experience for... but, I feel for the Virtue (and Freedom) folks in these times of need.
  19. They actually added a lot of stuff. I think I counted the same number of boards before - though for some reason I have to scroll a bit farther to get the same speed I did before. Gonna take some getting used to there.. and all of the new posting rules (like quick replies).

EDIT: Fix'd what I meant. D'oh. They added at least one or two boards here and there, in addition to entire new sections (in different languages).

Man, I'm being a real pill today.

*Gives Fedor a big, warm hug!*

Debating on whether I want to crash now, get some cake and crash later, or go PVP in WAR a bit more before finally settling down. :| Decisions, decisions... and the longer I wait, the more I feel like I should have picked one of the latter two options.

How're you and Scooby today, though?
  21. My faith in the community team is... well, not really restored, as 'Generally Positive' doesn't tend to change all that much. But it's great to hear this is being looked into.

It was starting to bug me, and it doesn't even affect my handle (though I'd have to wonder what other strange person in the EU would have my exact one).
  22. Well, hi to you, too, Fedor!

    - No way to respond to specific messages in a thread.
    - No longer able to click on a thread title and be taken to the last read message.
    - No way to include links with a link title.

Overall - Meh. I like the old format better.
    In rough order...

    - They technically are, but just by a bolded/not bold font which can be sort of hard to pick up on.

    - Not sure what you mean by that, but now you have to Quick Reply off of specific posts, which sort of annoys me but sort of compensates for that a bit.

    - There's a downward arrow to the left of each thread title that will do exactly that, dear sir.

    - Haven't linked anything yet, but I'm sure that's mildly disappointing. Then again, my sig-line still seems to work. So not sure what's going on there.
