  1. They seem to have at least some capability for this with the npcs. I mean that Creepy looking Baby New Year is what? 2 - 2 1/2 feet tall?

He has no knees it seems like, but with some adjustment(and our luck all new animations, which means it'll probably never happen) it seems possible.
  2. Hmmm... The one that really stands out over the last 3 years was one of my old VG mates female villain named "Hemorreggia Bloodbox"

You'd of thought someone noticed the Tautha taking the train t where ever you were. I can just hear the NPC chatter already.

"Hmm, well you don't see that every day."
I've met that Void hunter I think. It was the same place but, it may not have been the same one. I couldn't ask his name while his lvl 47 self pummeled my lvl 15 carcass

I agree that jump is a better "powerset" but the problem with Super jump is pointed out in Lord Thanatos' post. Gravity. What goes up, must come down. That down has a nasty habit of being in a spawn in places like Grandville. Fly has the capability of removing 99.95% of the danger in traveling. As long as there is no spawn at the zone entry point or your mission door you are golden.

Don't get me wrong. I love all the travel powers(except TP without a mouse click bind and lots of end reduc) but fly has the capability to negate travel dangers almost 100%. SS and SJ severly reduce those dangers but still leave you open to them a greater percentage of the time. I would guess the Devs feel(pure speculation here) that the difference in risk warrants the difference in speed. If this is the case I have to agree with them.
  5. If Fly had SS type speed or even SJ type speed why would you take any other travel power? Other than RP, that is.

The ability to go anywhere at 90+mph in perfect safety,.....YES PLEASE ON ALL MY TOONS!

We would have much fewer numbers of people who take the other travel powers and it would(IMO) make things more bleh without the occasional mid-travel "what the heck just hit me?".

A minor boost maybe, but not near SJ or SS in speed.

I can't be of any help on which ones but I remember there were collectors paying alot for a few of the very rare items a while back. I haven't been able to log in in a while so I don't know if this is still true.

If you need some cash it might be worth a bit of your time to check out the market before you convert them.
  10. ...And the developer came down from the high mountain and said:

"My children, for many generations you have held envy in your hearts for the dual pistols of the Masterminds. I have heard your pleas and I bring you joy.
    BEHOLD!
    DUAL PISTOLS IS YOURS!
Go now and rain bullets upon your foes!"

    ....and the people said:

  11. I have to completely agree with what Willowpaw said about Perfect zinger.

There is something strangely soothing about walking up to a medium sized group of grey minions, yelling at them a few times and having a pile of bodies left.

It hits often enough on even and higher lvl NPCs to make it more than worth the slot in taunt.

    IMO
  12. Legitimate curiosity:

How do you trade for over 2 Billion while preventing theft possibilities?
  13. Hmmmm.... 1 Bil for Circuit board. That is just a tad bit steep. How about 5 influence and a map to Wentworths?

(Sorry for being an ****(if this is a joke) but the prices are getting dumb around here for how easy it is to get some of this stuff).
  14. It seems like we are mixing two different things here. PVP IO's and Purples are different beasts. It's pretty much the same difference between regular IO's and Purples. With the differences being you can get PVP IO's at a lower lvl(although rare) but you have to be 50 to get purples(not quite as rare because there are so many 50's).

OP: I agree with you that the purples probably shouldn't work in lower PVP zones, but the PVP IO's.....well that's what they were designed for...PVP, all PVP. While most would say that people have worked hard(or just been playing 5 years) to get their purples and deserve the right to have them, IMO it seems a little unbalancing for the lower level PVP areas(purple out PVE by all means). While you can PVP IO out your lvl 30 you have more choices for enhancement at 50 because you can use the PVP IOs and the Purple IO's. I don't think it is a monsterous thing because PVP talent can most likey overcome the enhancement gap, but it's an unbalancing issue none the less.

Yeah, either the "minimum" specs need to be increased to take into account the actual current demands, or these features need to be looked at to be compatible with the published minimum specs.
I'm not saying the game doesn't have issues. Other than the processor I have about 4 times those specs(not bragging just truth) and I still crash during TF's and Basebuilding(freakin constantly). I just don't believe the minimum specs have much, if anything, to do with it.

I used to be able to delay the mapserves/crashes a bit with the /unloadgfx command. It doesn't seem to work much anymore. I seem to remember something about them disabling/changing it though. It might work for someone else though.

I'm holding out hope that they will fix most of these "memory leaks", or whatever they are, when the Going Rogue comes out.

I have to ask. Are you playing with all graphics options turned completely down or off? This is usually part of what needs to be done to run with the lowest computer specs.

If you are running with the least possible graphics options, have more than the minimum computer specs, and have a stable internet connection you MIGHT have a point. There are many variables involved though.

In this episode, the scientist has taken the place of a female rodeo clown who is in love with a bull rider. The scientist's job is to make the bull rider fall in love with him since the bull rider would have had no interest in the rodeo clown herself.

'But I don't know the first thing about being a clown!' he tells his holographic friend while putting on a pair of huge suspenders.

'It'll be a piece of cake,' councils the hologram. 'We spent a year together on the Montana Rodeo circuit right after I was released from the POW camp and before you got your 12th doctorate. It'll all come right back.'

'I don't remember that. Oh Boy!' says the scientist as he is pushed into the arena.

'Don't worry! You're just like forum posters. Sure, they say hurtful things about not hating books and the radio. They're just confused. They need to spend more time with a good friend. A friend who knows them better than they do. A friend like the television. Don't you agree, forum posters? You should watch more television. And play red side.'

You people are all being DUPED! This can't be the real TV. I know him well and he only speaks in large walls of text that are hard to read. This post is way to comprehensible and easy to read. Who are you really?!

I kid. Welcome TV and all the other newcomers/promotees.

  18. Wow, I expected a variety of opinions but I would have never guessed that so many didn't use travel powers even before the Ninja Run Pack came out. To me the travel powers help define the identity of the character. Not having one would also have the same effect. I just didn't think it would be so wide spread.

That is one of the beauties of this game. The ability for 100K people to play in 100k different ways and 99.95% of them are valid(cheaters exempted).

Thank you for all the opinions. They give me something to think about.

I would take your advice but I'm afraid they might take me serious and turn it into a walk like power. I don't want to be drawn and quartered in the streets by thousands of angry gamers.
  19. DOOM!!

Seriously though, I have been doing alot of forum reading lately(work is keeping me from playing ) and have been looking through many of the different mids builds that people post for various reasons. I have noticed on quite a few builds that people have been skipping travel powers to eek out a little more defense or recharge or whatever.

This makes me wonder. Have all these people bought the booster pack(highly possible) or are they just going without a travel power?

The 1st seems more likely but I can't believe that many people are using the "sprint on crack" that is ninja run all the way to lvl 50 and beyond.

...and the thought of using just sprint or a jetpack to get around all the time make my head want to implode.....slowly.

Don't get me wrong. I love ninja run(more importantly my lowbie's love it), but logging from a super jump, super speed, or even a (capped)flying toon to a Ninja run toon seems like I've been hit with perma caltrops.

Anyway, just wanting to get a general feel for what people thought.
  20. You are correct that you can only craft costume pieces once,..per toon. Once you have created it at the invention tables though you should always have the piece as a tailor option from then on for that toon.

Something that I have found usefull for hiding trim is the small single wires in the wall items. Depending on your ceiling height and which wall texture you are using you can either slide these up almost all the way into the ceiling or lay them on one of the lines of the texture.

On many textures the wires hide much better than the the small half vents(usefull for non-tech rooms). It can/will take more of them because they usually will only take out 1 section of trim at a time....a trade-off but it can be worth a little extra work depending on the room.

EDIT: (Not saying the wall vents are bad. I use them both in almost equal amounts)

  22. Only 2 things I can think of:

One more teleporter and beacon for the Rikti War Zone.

    and

The Mission Computer/Oracle for the Silver Mantis Strike Force.

Neither of these is a "MUST" haves but they can be handy when you need them. There is probably more depending on your play habits but this is all I can see right now half asleep.
  23. It is Grandville instead of the War zone. My mistake.

I remembered hearing something about the "broken in Raid" thing. Just checking.

    Thanks again
  24. These are very nice. Thank you for the hard work to help everyone out.

Just one question: Are these supposed to fix/cover the Pocket D and Rikti Warzone beacons also?

Not a grip, just wondering if mine are working right(still showing broken beacons).
  25. There are 4 or 5 different trophies missing in both my hero and villain bases.

They have been gone for a couple of months and I have bugged it twice I think.
