Last night I bought the necessary items to make TECH WINGS for a toon of mine , but when I tried to create the recipe to take it to the Tailor , under Inventions nothing showed up . I believe I read somehere that once you craft a recipe like this , you can't make it again . If that is the case , that would really stink . I have all 3 components and the inf to craft , yet nothing shows up (?) .

In the lower right of the crafting window there is a drop down that filters recipe displays. Turn off the filters and see if it turns up. It sounds as if you're missing one of the items.

Alternatively I misunderstood your post and you're looking at the tailor window. In that case you need to go to an invention worktable and craft the wings then go to the tailor and add them to your costume.

I hope one of these two solves your problem.

Well, you don't need to "take" anything to the tailor.

Make sure you have the recipe itself, the ingredients, and the influence. Go to a crafting table and craft -- the recipe and ingredients will disappear.

Now go to the tailor and select the wings options pulldown and you'll see the tech wings.

Good luck, and if I have misunderstood your issue, please clarify.

Did you actually craft it at a workbench, or is the recipe not showing up for you there?

If you've crafted it at a workbench, then all you need is to go to the tailor and add the wings. There is nothing that you have to physically bring tot he tailor.

If you're having troubles at the workbench, then check the drop down menu at the bottom right and remove any filters that may be on there. It's possible you're missing some salvage still, for example if the recipe actually requires two pieces of something that you only have one of. If that's the case then the recipe won't show up if the filter is set to filter out "recipes missing ingredients".

You are correct that you can only craft costume pieces once,..per toon. Once you have created it at the invention tables though you should always have the piece as a tailor option from then on for that toon.

Additionally, each costume recipe can only be crafted once per character. And indeed, there is no reason to craft it again, because crafting it once allows you to use it on every one of your costumes for that character as you see fit.

However, if you create a second character, you'll need to craft the recipe again. As was stated in the posts above, you require a copy of the Tech Wings recipe in that character's recipe inventory and the following three pieces of salvage: 1 Kinetic Weapon, 1 Temporal Analyzer, and 1 Ceramic Armor Plate (all available by defeating level 40-50 technology-based enemies). You will also need 5000 inf to pay for crafting. Once you've gathered all of these, you can take them to a university or abandoned laboratory* (or a craft-friendly Super Group base) to unlock the costume piece on your character.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying here.

When you say "once you craft a recipe like this, you can't make it again" do you mean that you have already done this on THIS toon before? If that is the case, the wings are already unlocked at the tailor and you don't need to do it again for this toon.

I will check my filter , just bought a invention workbench last night and ran into the same problem . Thanks again and sorry if I confused anyone

Just to clarify, here are some of the likely errors. Many people have made these mistakes, including [in some cases] me.

1) You have already made that recipe on that character.
Result: You cannot craft the recipe, but you DO have access to the wings at the tailor.

2) You left the recipe at Wentworth's when you went to the invention table. I... umm... did this yesterday, and I've got the 10K crafting badges on two characters.
Result: You can't craft until you pick up the recipe.

3) You don't actually have all the salvage you need, AND you have filters turned on so you can't see the recipe unless you have everything you need to craft it.
Result: You can't craft until you get all the salvage. Check your recipes when you're not at the crafting table.

4) You're confused about how to craft something, in a way that I cannot diagnose from here.
Suggestion: Have you ever crafted anything else? If not, take the course at the Steel Canyon University.

By this do you mean that you are trying to craft in your base instead of a University? Does your base have power and control available? An unpowered workbench will not work.
