There's at least one build in the build's thread. I just have a low level one. My only comment is Kin's animations really don't go well with /sd. One paper it should be decent with the stacking of +dmg buffs and -dmg debuffs. PS and SC don't play as well since PS needs to be built up and SC is pure burst damage. I just think Kin works better elsewhere despite the on paper synergy.

It made almost $160 million worldwide in it's first day. You don't walk away from a money train like that.

EDIT: Now that I say that, it's been out elsewhere before Friday so that helps in the big numbers. Still, $300 million likely isn't asking too much and that's without DVD sales.

Getting tickets via AE is helpful as well, but you just have to figure out what the best bang for your buck is time wise and what you are willing to do. I vastly just use the market and have one character retried out of playing for new content and marketering. I know when they started they had under 100 mill. Maybe 50 if that. She was 50 from a long time ago so that amount wasn't too abnormal. She's capped at 2 billion and gives handouts to my other characters when she's about to go over the cap again. I have 3 more at 500 million and at least one of those have e-mailed about a billion to a Kat/sr I'm IOing out. This says nothing of what my main has handed out. Again, that's just pure using the market without ever really using the market forum as a source and me just poking around. I already have a couple builds set for A-merits and ticket munchers so once those kick in my rate of income flow will only get higher.

Of the two, Elec/sd, but that's not really a fair fight. About the only way /stone farms is if a hoe is involved. Me being me, I would play the 50 since they have the best influ coming in via normal playing and have the chance for purple drops and once you get enough money to start hitting the market just do that instead. 100 million is a starting point for doing the market for what I do, but I would say 50-75 is easily doable depending on what you are targeting and doing. Give me 300ish million and I can likely pull 150 million profit out of it for every cycle I do.

Was thinking maybe something around half of Sonic Blast's, so like 10% on Defenders.
Now imagine a Storm/rad slotting the -res proc into some attacks and FR.

Pretty much all of my level 50 recipes I sold in stacks after crafting them went to hell. I relisted to get rid of them and moved on to other stuff. I'm doing as well as ever. I've probably skimmed off the top around 1 billion from a couple of characters and e-mailed it to other characters within the last couple weeks, or so.
  9. /fire more damage.

    /dark more sturdy.

    /elec more end friendly.

That's really it in a nut shell. If I had to pick one for a scrapper, I would go /elec. Claws has faster recharge on a scrapper versus brute. Add in Lightning Reflexes and it gets even faster and I prefer speed based sets versus slower ones. You may now ignore me having a Claws/dark brute.

    1) If pairing with kat/broadsword for lethal and melee defense
    2) You can pair it with Shadow Meld
    3) If you go musculature radial paragon to make powersink more potent (sapping 94% of endurance from everything short of an EB/AV in one shot? yes please), then the damage buff portion of that benefits a scrapper a bunch more than it does a tank or brute. Really if it weren't for this one I would have made my db/elec a brute.

My level 50+++ kat/elec scrapper is SO'd and still creams the trials

My level 50+ IO'd db/elec scrapper was soloing weapons cache and containment chamber spawns in lam yesterday and today. I kid you not.
I actually thought about how I had a DB/elec scrapper and then wondered if I should have gone brute instead. I think the fact that I could pick only the attacks I wanted to end up with versus taking one to help build fury was what sealed the deal. I can't recall when it was made because the placement of Energize was likely a reason as well. I didn't have an AoE based build on that server so it fills that role. Ok, so I made a Spines/elec later on... The DB/elec is 32 and I have only deleted one level 30 so far, so I just don't feel like axing something for the sake of being slightly more uber when it's been fun so far.

Just saw the IMAX 3D version. The 3D adds very little. Pretty much all of the Earth scenes benefit zero from 3D so you are basically seeing 3D only in Asgard. There were only a couple of scenes I really took issue with the CGI, but I've seen worse. Overall I put it about an 8. It was fun, but it's not near a top of genre film either. Chris Hemsworth really nails the part of Thor though.

Well, I have been buying the level 24 versions of them and a number of other level 24s so there is at least one buyer of the lower stuff.

Note: level 24 dual IOs offer just over +3 SO levels of enhancement when combined. I figure acc/damage, damage/end, and damage/recharge from two sets gives me a standard 6 slotted attack at +3 SO level, but with bonuses from two sets. It exemps fine and I don't have to worry about reslotting unless I do full sets. I'll likely have to look at ones higher than 24 just because the market is so dry of what I'm looking for. As I mentioned before. All bids are at least credible based on how they have been selling. At least 1-2 bids are for 100K. And yet... What really makes it frustrating is I have 3 melee ATs doing this and I can't even fill out one build. I'm trying to avoid using merits for this as well.

+1. I just haven't gotten into the Incarnate stuff and it just makes me feel like caving to it because it's vastly the thing being played right now. The channel that I use which has the most talk on it, and I mean beats out all other 9 channels combined, and if it's not an i20 Trial, or maybe a WTF, you don't exist in terms of getting on a team.

Go Rogue, most of the content is geared to heroes anyway.
Maybe my characters are just that evil.
  16. Putting teams together on getting on teams that aren't i20 Trials, WTF, or farms is frustratingly annoying these days. Sure, you can find them, but I have done level range searches for an AT and found 3 people playing that weren't level 50. I have done it repeatedly with the same results and even on the high pop servers. This says nothing of trying to buy lower level IOs to help frankenslot out characters that sit there with credible and most often buy it now bids and they simply don't get purchased because nobody is selling them in the first place.

    Kinetic melee

It's still good on a scrapper, but the only set it feels odd on is /sd. The animations turn into one handed versions and it really throws it off. I will agree that stalkers likely make out the best with it, but the Ice/km sounds interesting. *sigh* I might have to roll that at some point. Tanks are using Quick Strike anyway for bruising so might as well use it first for pumping up PS's buff. Color KM as blue and it also fits with Ice.
  18. I think Kin on a brute gets one set of attacks leveling up, and then another once you start to IO out. The two ST attacks you have really aren't much of an attack chain by themselves. I would at least get Quick Strike in there to help fill in the gaps. I would be tempted to add in Focused Burst to make a chain even easier to do plus it's solid damage. Incomplete attack chains will always feel lacking.

Grav doesn't do -recharge. It does -speed. You want to compare it to Ice.

If a person doesn't like the Rage crash, they could go with Claws, Kin, or DB so they get at least get roughly the same AoE of Dark if not better and having a similar lingering BU type of power. What makes Dark standout is Siphon Life and another end recovery tool. It makes /fire being a squishier set more sturdy as where none of the other sets do.

Been tossing around the idea of another brute and Dark/fire lingers there, but I just haven't made one. It would rank third at best currently.
  21. And just went and dusted off the build(Dark/elec brute). Did some missions and it played rather well. I really just need Energize to smooth things over and I'll be good until I can get some IOs into the build.

It's early, and I need to make the build into a post i19 one, but so far my Dark/elec has been one of the more frustrating builds so far. I made it in the buzzsaw days and then that got changed. I actually talked to a SG/VG mate and asked if they had made one and they said they had and it's one of their better brutes, but it just develops late. Mine's like 24, but I hate being any type of meatshield on a team right now. I'm ok if I'm solo, or the secondary melee. I want to keep it since it works in my head, but it's just been frustrating so far. I'll blame the lack of Energize on part of the frustration so far. Rerolling a SS/elec, or SS/sd is rather temping. Yes, I'm aware of the cost to make SS/sd shine.
  23. Got mine to 46 and it very likely might be the first to do the Incarnate stuff. I keep wanting to make a dom, and I figured I would go Plant/fire, but I just figured I might as well just play the controller version since it's already built.

Ill's attack isn't an AoE. Hot Feet from Fire is at least a PBAoE and Fire is known for damage. Dark isn't. The other power in question is far more than just being invisible.

Or go Elec/sd and have him going, "Wait for me!" repeatedly. BS/sd is sexy as hell and works well together. Too bad I prefer the speed of Kat over BS.
