Traps/Rad? Sound right?
There is no redraw, since traps doesn't have a weapon for you to draw. The combo should work fine for you. Radiation doesn't have very high single target damage, but it does good area damage. Once you get a few powers, you should be able to set your difficulty to something like -1X4 with bosses turned off and be good to go. I'm sure you could do much higher than that too.

time bomb is prolly one of the only ones that i would consider optional, web grenade is alright, but as a defender you get the option to skip it (i would i hate web nade cause its a single target power, but thats personal opinion lol)
other than that i think most of the other powers in traps are just too good to not take lol

Time Bomb is skippable. Everything else you take. Period.
Amazing as it might seem, webnade is INVALUABLE against tough bosses and AVs because of your stationary trapping style. They can be immobilized easier than other statuses. For instance we had a team of 3 at the end of a Manticore (long story). Without the trapper's webnade the AV would run all over. Webnade and then stick him with the poison gas trap!

So, loving my Arch/TA Corr, i was thinking about trying Traps out. But this time, as a defender since i dont have one at 50 yet. I thought of /rad for my secondary, since it has nice debuffs, and AOEs, a awesome snipe, and the boom, i love the boom.. :P
One thing i worry is about is, redraw? how bad would that be going from traps, to rad, then back to traps?
Since /rad isnt very damage heavy, i wont be able to solo, well atleast not very good. I find teams hard to find sometimes. So you think a better damaged class will be better? but at 50, ill be TF/Trial all the time, so i try look towards what i can do at 50, and be like, i can pwn that..
Then slotting will be an issue for me for Traps considering it will be my first Traps CHaracter ever. Defender at that. I know how to slot /rad, common sense i think. Perhaps if anyone has a Trap/Rad, or even just a Trap Def, posting a build would help out so much.
ATM, im looking to get out of tanks/brutes/scraps, since i have atleast 2-3 50s of each AT. Time for a change, like the Corrupter, which was my first after 3 years + of this game. So i figure, lets try a defender.
