  1. Reminds me of this guy

IIRC he ony grew to about 25' max, but his strength increased exponentially.
  2. When I drop a DPS attack on a 'plodie with a sliver of life left, I will turn and walk away as it goes off, "John Woo-Style".
  3. He called out my lvl 42 WS and was not very impressed.

Ya know, I don't need to write a ten-page essay on the comparative appeal of the 66-month reward compared to say the 60-month. If you find this one is the best thing since sliced-bread, that's...wait for it...YOUR OPININION! The same as my original post was my opinion, I didn't think I needed to spell that out for you. Everyone else on this thread was fine with simply saying, in so many words, "I disagree and do or don't think the rewards will continue" and I am fine with an open discussion, but assuming imposing my opinon on everyone else by simply asking the question is just not fair. I don't think the guy that posted "These rewards sux!" got such a bad rap!

Generally, Vet powers have a tendancy to be be of some small little usability, creating ease of use for a player without being a game breaking development if a character hasn't earned it yet.

    My idea is this.

How about a Trainer Teleport power? How many times have you been done with a mission with a low level character, but a trainer is long ways away and you are on a team.

Have the power take you to trainer in the same zone as you are, or if you are in a hazard zone with no trainer, to a trainer in the last zone you were in that had a trainer.

I never meant to give the impression that I was unappreciative of the reward, but merely wondered why it wasn't something with broader appeal like the suggestion above.

    Character Bios

60+ characters, 60+ Bios. I usually create a character with a story already in mind, the story drives the character and I build the best I can from what is available.

I recall a similar discussion a few years ago about adding costumes and I asked, with complete ignorance that I acknowledged at the time, why we couldn't have costume "shells" that layered on top of the character's frame. Perhaps it's serendipity as the things may have already been in the pipeline, but about a year after I asked that we got coats, jackets and vests of all kinds added to the game which work like shells layered atop the existing costumes.

So maybe there is some way to do size-changing that doesn't involve massive amounts of work. After all, when someone throws Tenebrous Tentacles on a GM, those tentacles are likewise giant. So it seems like there's *some* sort of size check the game does. As far as the "giants being indoors" thing, I'm sure there must be some check the game can do to see where you are and gray out that power if the location is inappropriate.

We were told that re-coloring powers was impossible because they were "baked in" to the game engine, yet a way was found to do that. If there's one thing the Devs have impressed me with over the years, it's their sheer inventiveness. Just getting people thinking about this may present a solution that is relatively easy to implement.
This! The days of "it can't be done" should be long gone by now. BaBs has only stated the challenges to making something like this work, not what motivations would be needed to make it happen. Like weapons customization and power customization before, we will never know what is happening in the backround that move these things from: won't happen to might happen to will happen. I like to think of these suggestions as a consensus on the popularity of an idea, it's potential functionality and usefulness. I don't take much stock in "because the Devs said no" replies anymore, because many of us have found ourselves on the wrong end of a crow sandwich when the opposite occurs.
  8. I see the problem being indoor missions. There are size limitations for a lot of rooms unless your max size varies with the room your in with your max reachable when outside. The problem here, would be that your power would also vary with your size, but honestly, I personally wouldnt have a problem with this.
  9. Fix the City Vault and lets leave Facebook out of it!

    ...yeah I said it!
  10. Just hit 66 months and I see nothing really special this time around. 5 more Salvage slots, 5 more Receipe slots, and 1 new auction slot. Honestly, I rarely need all the slots I have. I wonder if the Devs are phasing the whole thing out?
  11. Simple fix for those that have the idea of PvP base raids: Your base is flagged for attack by NPC mobs.
  12. CoP was the "defacto" reason for bases in the first place and the only reason I would have joined a SG. If the exploit is that bad, create friggin SG only TF with the IoP as the reward. Somehow I can' t see why this is so difficult.
  13. Doing the "On the Run" arc with my WS and there is an APB out on my character and I though, "This would be a good arc to have the PPD in." Outside of the Safeguard missions, you really dont see much of them at all.
  14. Dynamic Content (tm)

    ...that is all.

Or would they all get the defensive set (Lum. Aura) as thier secondary? Because in that case, the Tank in the above example would get two defensive sets and no attacks, which would suck.

Redside, well, what about MM's? None of the Kheld powersets really look that great at buffing/defending your pets.

Actually they could be arranged so that that wouldn't be the case. As far as MMs are concerned, they would be limited to the same secondaries as a tank, but considering the possibility of picking up the Nova as an Epic, I think its still worth it.

I was not really attached to the whole "Unlocked as 50" thing, but it would extend the playability of a character without upping the level limit, otherwise we fall back on just rolling another character.

I would imagine that some of them would fare better than others with thier Secondary replaced with that of the Khelds. The first thing I thought of was the "Stalker without Hide", but that's just me.

How well do you think this would this work on each of the AT's that would qualify?

Edit: I have an old scrapper that I'd be happy to use as a test subject though.

Well with the notion of heroes and villains switching sides, I dont see why villains couldn't get something like this, but with a Nictus flair.
  18. Ok, before everyone sighs "Oh not again", let me clarify. Originally, when Kheldians were introduced, I had thought they would be a reflection of what we saw in the comics where the current character gained the Kheldian abilites. What I propose is at level 50 we have to option to re-roll that character (with all badges, inf, and accolades) into a character that has the same primary, but with the Kheldian secondaries.

Since Kheld secondaries only have one of the shapeshift forms, the Nova form could be introduced as an Epic set. From a concept point of view, when we make a Kheld, it's a human/Kheldian hybrid, with this idea, we can create Meta-human/Kheldian hybrids.
  19. One would think we could get the one-eye, two-eye, three-eye option by now and all the appropriate eye eminations to go with them.
  20. Ya know, when I teleport someone in motion, they continue to be in motion at the destination, but I have to do the funky calisthenics everytime I port myself.
  21. I always saw something like this as the natural progression of the AE features. I still want an in-game Nemesis system.
  22. I will always /sign this suggestion, and there is still the perfect building in Steel Canyon to put the clock.
  23. The greatest thing about these letters is that they remind us of a time before Emergency Medical Teleporters. When they fell in battle, they stayed dead! Wrap your head around that!

Why? There's already third-party programs that allow you to replace the game music with your own.
