I Can't Believe I'm Suggesting This...
You can get both times via civilian - and I believe slash command, as well. So the info is certainly in game to access.
Heck - add it to the power monitor window - "real time" and "game time."

/localtime - this gives you the current time on YOUR machine, pulled straight out of your Windows clock.

A very nice feature of WoW is that it not only has a clock (with local time) constantly displayed, it also has an Alarm feature which allows you to set a time for a chime sound to play alerting you when "time's up" for any sort of timed concern.
You can't get THAT with a CoX slash command (currently).

For the alarm function and for real local time, you can just get a cheap (under 5$) digital alarm clock and place it right beside your monitor. Heck, you can find some that are powered by watch batteries and stick to the edge of the monitor.

But server time, for monitoring the day/night cycle? Sure. Why not.
Note: here is the day/night cycle.

I play in windowed mode, and have a clock right *there* in the bottom corner of my screen.
Its not something I am opposed to per se, but I do think there are better uses of a programmers time.

I'd like to see working clocks throughout the game world as part of Ultra Mode, with a switch you can set in Options between paragon time and real time.

Sometimes an alarm clock would be a good thing to have in the game. Although for me the problem of not knowing the time doesn't really exist. It's displayed on my keyboard, and I have a tv two feet away with the time on it, my phone right next to me which also tells me the time.
But...I can't find any objection to the suggestion. Having the time right on screen can be a good help.
And like I said in my first sentence, I would love an alarm clock feature.

I'm not good at giving advice, can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
@Lyrik
See, here's the thing. SCR, yes, but the information is (a) already in game and (b) already displayable *if* you know how (slash command and civilian names.) Having it more easily accessible couldn't hurt. (Yes, I know, not opposed to per se, I saw.) I couldn't see it eating up that much of a programmer's time... depending on implementation.

Think about the top nav tray. The one that has the tab for the Map/Contact/Badges?
All I'd like is for a small incline around the middle with enough space to place the numbers of the current time and I'd be set. Something that could easily be avoided, and something that I could only hope would not be so very game-breaking that the developers would smite me with the SCR.

I'm too lazy to alt+tab :P

I will always /sign this suggestion, and there is still the perfect building in Steel Canyon to put the clock.
"Samual_Tow - Be disappointed all you want, people. You just don't appreciate the miracles that are taking place here."
Can we please have a clock?
Why? Well, because I'll admit, I lose track of time when I play any MMO, and a clock would be an awesome way to keep track of time.
Add an alternative clock to display the 'Paragon Time', which moves much faster than a regular clock to show the time in the city, so people will know how close they are to hunting at night/day.
Whaddya think? Horrible? Undesirable? Inconvenient? Not worth the time and effort?
