    Adding to the post above:

Anyone who had outstanding bids of more then 500 million for anything. Especially those who were lowballing the 2 billion inf items for 1.5 billion.

Anyone who blindly bids the old costs before converters and isn't looking at the more recent history.

Anyone who is buying right now on the more expensive ones that are creeping back up in price. The next round of Converter accessibility will depress those prices.

    fixt.

Compare Recluse to Aeon in the STF:

It drains super-powers, but instead of simply making them go away like the clumsy spells of the Mu, it transfers them. YES! They said it couldn't be done, but they also said it was foolish to tap a bound demon to power a city, but I did it! I did it! The Web then transfers those stolen energies into a specific individual. Oh, you'll have quite a time stopping Recluse's plans, once he controls the power of every meta-human on Earth! And all because of my meta-human scientific genius! Ah-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-WAAAit a second! If he gets every meta-human ability...
    Then he'd get my...
    I'd be just..
Uh-oh! You've got to stop him!
To see just how awesome Aeon is, read the souvenir from the Luddite, Brother Hammond's, mission.
  3. I'm too busy using Converters to make the purpled-out builds I want and saving billions rather than use them make billions. A billion saved is a billion earned.

    Mm dps

Initially, MMs tied with Brutes in leveling speed. So, that says something.
  5. Any AT serves well as an additional pet... just harder to command.
  6. Hey, babe, calm down.

No, I'm not saying you're an infant!
  7. I'll concur: by explicitly stated design by a redname and by experience, the DA arcs give the 'first bite at the apple' reward that doesn't count for cool downs.

Just take a new toon through all the arcs and you'll get the full reward menu for each arc. If there wasn't this extra reward, the very next arc would have a choice greyed out since the DA arcs are all on the same reward table.

Yeah, this is the problem. They have graphics and 3D programmers working on UI. And they do so only when they have the time and is absolutely necessary to get a job done. They don't have UI specialists.

We also see that in how the Market interface has been sourced out to a third party... and doing a horrible job of it.

The good news is that they're advertising help wanted ads for two new UI specialists. The bad news is that those ads have been sitting there for months.

Now, if they only had the resources to also hire their own Web Designer and Copy Editor....

    No.

It's Beta. Things are sloppy and unfinished in Beta. That's standard operating procedure and the reason to have a Beta. That's the way it is in all MMOs.

Expecting Beta to be a preview of a finished product is the unreasonable expectation. Beta is to *test* and find bugs (and leaks) so they they can be tightened up.

    Loosen it up, player.

Well, you know, it's hard to hide the fact that those arrows came from a bow.

  12. Some of the mechanics are obviously way overpowered, especially when tested by some (which they shouldn't have done, but.. <shrug>).

Don't count on anything remaining untouched before it goes Live.

Actually, these types of leaks are common for early Beta. However, most people normally didn't see the leaks because they were exposed and rehidden in Closed Beta.

Now that we're going straight to open (i.e., 'VIP') Beta, more people are seeing what's behind the curtain.
  14. Usually, with Windows, special mouse drivers do more harm than good. People have found that deleting the special drivers and letting Windows self-install the default mouse driver works much better.

I would have pointed out that your "response" did nothing to answer my question, but DreadShinobi had already answered by the time I saw yours, so I didn't bother. Since the topic has been brought up, I will point out that "Yes. See the link in my sig for more details" would have been infinitely more useful.
I will keep this in mind next time.

If I sell my salvage for the price you say, noone has any way of knowing who actually got it. Was it the new player, or the evil marketer?

I think, it would be far more helpful to just give the new players some inf and give them the url to the forums where they can learn how the market works. (or at least have a slight grasp on it)
That's why they're flooding the market. Marketeers only have so many storage slots. And it's unlikely they're going to grab a thousand Luck Charms to flip especially if the 'Pro Actives' continually flood and deflate the price. They can't flip if the Pro Actives supply all the lowbies needs at a low price.

Oh, also, not a Player Question.

I trust Roderick would have figured out the link with "enhancements" in it would answer his question about converting enhancements, especially since I'm pretty sure he's already aware of the spreadsheet.

  19. Not to mention ablative pet armor.

That is, the ability to resummon pets more quickly if they're dying quickly. Very helpful in situations like the warehouse of Lambda. I know this is anathema for some MMs who avoid sacrificing their pets and keeping them alive at all costs. But it is indeed a valid and successful MM tactic to put pets purposely in a situation where they will die and to compensate by resummoning... often. And global recharge helps in that situation.

We've already seen the anti-Tyrant iTrial. It features Chimera and Black Swan and Pendragon (Praetorian Hero 1). Also, the leaked I23 info says that Shadowhunter (like Woodsman, his Primal counterpart, now a ghost) will be part of the new zone content of Night Ward.

That only leaves Infernal as the only Praetorian Phalanxer/Vindicator unaccounted for.

But, of course, there may still be Praetorian versions of other big name NPCs to face such as the Praetorian versions of the Vanguard contacts of RWZ.

Also, not all the Praetorian Phalanxers/Vindicators have been killed. Battle Maiden was truly 'arrested' and was freed by Malta. While Mother and Diabolique are dead dead, we don't know if anyone else was killed or arrested. We can supposed that Nightstar is powered off, but Siege is known to jump from body to body... so he might actually be fine and free. The rest could simply be in custody.

And Dominatrix is actually leading the Trial against Tyrant (but not for redemption... she's aligning herself with what is likely to be the winning side...she is the prototypical 'redside' villain who co-ops for self-preservation).

Yes, it's too much and should be dealt with dev-side. But until then, this might restore some sanity:

Silencing the dog sounds (and cats and demons).

Are you posting in the Suggestions forum to suggest to the Devs that they get players to ask them when Staff Fighting will be released?

    See sig.
  24. Not to mention that Primal Woodsman is a ghost, too.
