Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot... -
Or slip in some of the TFs they've neglected to use.
The ITF could use some love. As could Lady Grey. Or Positron/Tarakoss. -
Quote:Buff effects, heals, attacks, player bodies. Yeah, it can get a little confusing in the melee. If you haven't played the Magisterium trial yet, here's a preview.
Okay, its not supposed to look like that. My game client glitched and I played the entire trial in the Negative Zone. In actuality, the trials are not usually obscured by antimatter. They are normally obscured by buff effects.
(Half-kidding: I don't mind them, but its a common complaint by some players).
Thank goodness for tab targeting. -
Maybe they thought you were just doing a farm? Because frankly I can't imagine anyone would be dim enough to think they should bring anything below a +3 on the latest and hardest trial that pits you against several 54+3 Arch Villains right after the other. Not to mention the end boss at 54+5, even with the +6 from the wells when it's working means you're on -the same level as him- at +3 shifts.
I wouldn't feel bad. It's your call as a league leader and you made the right one. -

Actually, about cloaking device. Slap a stealth IO in whatever your travel power is. Unless you've got super speed, in which case you've already got full stealth when you use the two together.

Retcon the third movie to be a bad dream.
Franchise fixed. -
The banshees in Night Ward have some of these powers too I believe.
I was wondering when someone would pick up on them. Honestly surprised no one said anything in beta -
I'm not terribly disappointed with the slot, I mean a boost is a boost, but frankly I do kinda feel like this should have been an earlier slot for it's general strength and usage. It's cool, but it's still definitely outshone by previous powers, which I kind of think is going to be the biggest problem going down the line. We all expect the powers to be bigger, badder, more flashy and SPECTACULAAAAAAAAR. When they may have given us some of the biggest and flashiest (also easiest to design) powers from the get go.

First off, respec. If you've got Fitness as a pool pick, you can respec. The Fitness pool is inherent now.
Second. Generally, pick an Alpha that's going to give you the biggest improvement. The default is Musculature because everyone, especially blasters, have lots of damage powers so a universal SO level boost is always nice. But if you find yourself sucking wind often, Cardiac will likewise drop your endurance usage in pretty much everything.
Basically you can use it to patch a hole in your build if you feel you need that extra boost, or you can use it to boost up your strengths.
As for the other slots... Interface is popular for the fire damage and res debuff, but you can pick anything that compliments your build or style. They all do extra damage and/or debuff.
Judgment is whatever you want. They're -all- good and they -all- kill a lot of enemies. A lot of folks pick Ion for the chain lightning jump but the others all have huge areas of effect anyway.
Destiny, again, go with what is going to work for you. Barrier is a great survival tool for those without res/def. Rebirth is good for a self heal. Clarion is excellent mez defense. Really Destiny is the one you'll probably want to build multiple types of for the utility offered.
And Lore is, again, pretty much up to preference. They're all pretty good and most hit like trucks (with notable exceptions like Seers) So pick what fits best with concept unless you're looking for specific kind of support (debuffs, buffs, damage types, etc). -
We'll get them as soon and as fast as it takes for them to figure out what they do and how to make them work like that

Quote:Well we better replace him then.Statesman is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired and gone to meet his maker! He's a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! His metabolic processes are now history! He's off the twig! He's kicked the bucket, he's shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!

Ditto. I was hit with them and suddenly lost access to my incarnate powers and a couple epic pool powers (my level 49 and 47 choices)

one thing I'd like to mention, the eye beams may not be functioning as.. advertised I guess?
The pop up text says something like raking in front of him? There were a couple times where Tyrant was distinctly facing -away- from me, like I could see his butt clearly the whole time, and I got one shotted. Checking the combat log showed I was getting hit by his eye beams somehow.
Maybe just me. -
Quote:It's a tough fight for everyone. You've got more tools than just your pets.Dun dun dunnnnnn!
Nope, you both missed the mark. That thread's talking about some level shift bug. Totally not the issue here.
I send in my pets to fight Tyrant. They immediately come back in little bitty pieces. While we're at it, let's turn off all Tanker sheilds, remove Blaster ranged attacks and prevent Stalkers from doing anything in melee! -
Quote:Sure it belongs here, but its basically a retread of what that other thread got into, at very deep length and breadth actually. If this were simply a matter of talking about the problems that exist for blasters in a vacuum, thenh sure, I would simply go and toss it into the black hole that the blaster AT forum has become. That is not what I'm doing, however. I'm talking about how a blaster stacks up in relation to every other AT however. I mention the design phylosophy of the other ATs. This is a GAME discussion and mentioning how it impacts blasters.
It belongs here. -

I've only run heroside so far, but I rather enjoyed it. I agree that it was cool seeing 'new' Clockwork and Trolls. I've been enjoying all the upgrade makeovers to enemy groups since Dark Astoria started handing out Incarnate upgrades.
The level range is nice too. I was expecting to drop to 40, here I am still a 50, which honestly felt just fine given the trolls getting empowered and I had to step in to save Posi and Numina.
Getting to pick my ally was a nice touch too. I went with Penny because honestly I'm liking her as a hero. Heck her pet made Clamor a breeze. I was a bit disappointed to see the Talons show up though, but eh.
Not a bad little opener. Really nice looking cutscenes. -
I will say the Mag trial is the first time I've ever been awarded a threads only reward and I'm still not quite sure what the difference in my participation was. It was on my mastermind, but it was the 2nd run with that character and I did everything the same as I'd done on the 1st run, so it was certainly a surprise.

Quote:It's a costume recipe like Maelstrom's pistols. When Nega-Pendragon (possibly Excalibur too) is defeated in the Magisterium trial there is a chance it will drop to someone on the league.Does anyone have a pic of the sword... Or an explanation of how to craft it? Can a level 50 character do this retroactively? I'm actually actively looking for a pic to show to someone.
And any Titan Weapons character can go to Ouroboros after completing the trial and unlock the costume via Merits. (I believe Empyrean). -
Quote:MoM was never tweaked. UGT just had it's rewards upped to match, the difficulty wasn't changed.People don't seem to find the Tyrant fight rewarding enough for the risk and time. Yes, this has happened before and the devs end up tweaking things so everyone can enjoy the trial this one is headed there as well. If it's not tweaked then it will be played less two months form now than other trials that are more fun, rewarding and time efficient, first week failure rates of all trials notwithstanding.
And Magi already has a increased chance at a Rare/Very rare (in fact I scored 2 Very rares the first two runs).
