I can always make one

I have a few character slots that are floating semi-occupied by characters that I liked at the time but I'm not sure I'll keep. -
Quote:^ Heavily agreed. The only Lost that actually looks like a real Rikti are the Pariah Prelates, the small one wearing the hoods. It is indeed the closest we have, but there's a problem:
The Lost still look like they're evolving into the old school Rikti (note the green eyes and low-res textures). Thus, the anatomy might not be properly comparable to the shiny new I10 Rikti.
That said, I think the Lost could use an art update to reflect the changes made to the Rikti in I10.
Even then, I have no idea how they thought the Anchorite's were gong to shift into Rikti...
But yeah, a huge, huge /Signed to the REAT. Another one of those things that would be so cool to have in game. -
Quote:We don't have any other boots that look remotely medieval, either. The pointed toe and the giant round kneecap are exactly what makes the boots so cool. We don't have any other boots that have this shape, and they're very much half the reason I bought the pack, that and the shoulders. The rest of the pack I haven't actually used much, I don't think.
The helmets just about pass muster, but the horrible, club-foot boots and stuff really don't. They made Samurai armour look wicked, but western medieval armour sucks....bah, humbug! -
Gotta disagree with you on the AC2 point, Sam. Better to be half Italian-half english and accented than the stupid voice that Altair had in AC1. Which was simply freaking American. And they can hand-wave it (and do) as glitches in the Animus software. They are, afterall, working with a guy who does only speak english.
On topic...Voices would be cool. Agree with most of the examples you give, although I think with Council and 5th they would need to make, say, the bosses sound more German/Italian, while the normal rank and file would need to sound more normal and varied. Remember, the 5th and the Council both recruit from Paragon and do so all the time, so the intake would be pretty multi-cultural.
I imagine Nemesis sounding quite quiet, very clipped sylables with a slight echo. A bit like some of the Space Marines with helmets on from Dawn of War 2
Oh, and, on the subject of sound, ambient zone and mission music please. -
Well...I *would* have been Chief Centurion Z1.
But my global, for some wierd reason, changed when I got City of Villains, back in the days of being seperate. And Alpha was my first villain...
And here I am, plotting world domination and doom to all mankind, rather than sounding like a Paladin...alright, a slightly more badass Paladin. Voiced by Peter Cullen

No matter what MMO Devs give us someone will always be dissatisfied.

Always been that way.
The A.I., now, that IS bugged. Drones and Protector bots have taken to running up and Brawling enemies, rather than sitting back and shooting like they should do. It's fairly recent, too, but Bot have, ironically enough, always had a lot of glitches in their circuits. -
Remove the AE from there and put it in D, sure.
But level-locked zones is still not fun. (Looking at you, Cimerora)
If they move the Vanguard Operative badge OUT of the base, put in each of the Vanguard lobbies, that would be nice. Main thing that bugged me was not being able to fight Rikti on my characters that were meant to be Vanguard operatives.
I still think the VG Merit restricted to lvl 35+ is stupid myself, given how hard it is to get enough for the costume parts when Raids aren't so frequent (Friday raids on Union have only just re-started) and given how stupidly expensive the craftables are.
Maybe something like level 15+. Maybe. 35+ is just irritating. -

Praetoria? Hnnf. Take a look around, pal. Atlas Park...Galaxy City...Even the so called 'Heart of the City' has gang problems. Normal drugs, 'supes, gang warfare, theft, muggings by the dozen, gun-running...Sure the place looks shiny, right up until you get down the back alleys. Then it's a whole different world out there.
Praetoria will be just the same. Shiny on the outside, sugar coated maybe...but there's going to be a whole mess of stuff festering beneath all that. Same as any city. Call me cynical...hell, most people do...*pauses to light a cigarette* But cities are always the same. Humans are always the same. Whatever dimension they're from. Just manifests in different ways.
Hmm? Do I like my job? Buddy, if I didn't take satisfaction in what I do, I wouldn't be here right now. Now, if you'll excuse me...

Quote:Welcome to the Dark SIdeI will also do this.
I've had my two kheldians for a few months now, and they are at 11 and 12 respectively. I really want to like them, but I am almost exclusively a solo player and the number of times my PB has died is probably some sort of record. The few times I have teamed with them they feel like different ATs, but I just don't really like teaming very much. I hope to slog through to a point where I actually understand how to play them properly, but I believe it will be slow going.
I only got my first red side 50 late last week. My soldier, as of today, is 22 and that is completely solo. I have never had a toon level so fast. An absolute joy to play, my only criticism is that I am locked out of spider armor pieces on my other costume slots. That is a crazy decision someone made, and I wish they would change it.
However, I am looking forward to the crab legs, so what do I know?
Oh, and PB's hit the good time at level 20. Especially Tri-form. Thats when everything clicks together and you start solo-ing like a rabid llama with eye lasers...
Yeah. Rabid llama...uhm. I'm going thataway now ^^;
But try and hang in till 20. I was in the same place, feeling 'meh, this isnt worth it.' Then 20. Boomtime. Bigtime. -
I'd say an MM (hell, I'm biased
)
Or maybe a god-slotted Rad/Rad Corr. Or maybe Something/Rad. Or /Dark, I guess, but I've only ever tried Rad. -
Windows 7, and a Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT.
This thing devours Max settings graphics like nobodies business

Quote:It was a temporary (Note, Temporary) fix because on TF/SFs with set level enemies (LRSF, STF) the end bosses could be set to -1 diff...and would spawn at lvl 49. Usually they were set in level.I'm confused now, are TF's and SF's not letting you set them at anything other than +0? Is that WAI??
If so, it's stupid, what's the fun at level 50 of taking on a white villain? At 50 I wanna fight purples, risk and reward and all that?
Until such time as the Devs can get a fix for that in (I would estimate fairly soon. ASAP, basically), then thats how it will be.
Also:
So...I'm sorry, in what way does that lump people who happen to Roleplay in with that? If Im not 'playing the game as intended' as well as RP, well...colour me damn confused.Quote:The latest 'fixes' and 'upgrades' seem to have been for the benefit of farmers and role-players, with little for those of us who play the game as it was intended. -
Quote:^ ThisThere are a lot of things you can do besides radio missions...
Not that I would mind being able to call the detectives, but deleting a character just because of the PI detective you got seems a little obsessive.
Also...PI? Why the frag is a lowbie in...
Oh, right. -
Quote:^ this, pretty much. That's what he said. Optional.
Until it can be done with alternate animations, no.
I for one think CO's acro animations are silly as hell.
Cottage Rule.
Options are great. Being stuck with something your not too fond of isn't.
I've never had to take acrobatics, simply because I tend to avoid like the plague those sets with such huge holes. Dark armour I managed to live with till 32, then quit. Ninjitsu is the only one I can live with, due to IO -KB slotting and inherent awesomeness. -
I think mobs can be killed by fall damage...unlike us. Im pretty sure I've punted one or two off the Web or some such high point, to cackle madly as the health bar hits 0 on contact. I can almost here the 'Thud' ^^
-
First remove their [Insane Push] power. Y'know, the one where they can push titans of a steel and spike clad villains out of the way without even trying? -unamused face-
More realism would be cool. Also;
Where are the schools and shopping malls? People in the parks? It looks like a city...but doesn't feel like one. -
So why are you so surprised that people aren't agreeing with you?
If people want something and you dont agree with it, the simple answer is to ignore it. If it makes it in game, simply dont use it. No one is forcing you at gun-point (heh) to agree and take the powers. -
Revamp the lowbie zones first. Make the contacts not suck, more mission variety and suchnot first.
There should be a big arc (bit like Frostfire in the Hollows), one for Atlas, one for Galaxy. Something that would become a staple.
In a way, Atlas Sewer Runs are kinda like that anyway. Who knew all that sewage would bring so much joy...
