Argh...
ArghARGHargh.
I hate him. I hate him so damn bad. The mission where you need to free the Rikti's prisoners is SO painfull, since the mod includes at least 1 boss AND KK.
Who gave him THREE powersets?
Singularities on NPCs are evil. Grav/Kin Warden once...NEXT to Synapse in a redside mish. Man that hurt. -
There was a sharp crack, like hell itself opening its gates, as Xariel cracked his knuckles, turning in the direction Pious had pointed, and Hellhog was looking.
"Whatever it is, maybe it can answer some questions," he growled, voice echoing with the toll of funeral bells, of sarcophagus lids sliding shut. The massive, ensorceled silver chains that bound his upper body seemed to loosen a little, fresh coils hissing out and pooling slightly on the floor as he gripped them, like massive flails.
Arkeela gave him a warning glance, checking once with the others, then standing beside him, her gauntlets glowing pure white. -
I think I'd get jaded too if I'd been around a long time, and had to reply to everyone who thought themselves a Nobel Prize winner for coming up with an idea for the 118th time, and then got told that the answer they gave, based off Dev responses for a long time, was for some reason wrong.
Just saying

The Devs have said 'No more Unlock at 50 EATs'
Other than that...its an interesting point and idea -nods- -
PvP=/!/=PvE
There is no comparison. There never has been. IOs in PvE dont matter to anyone other than the player becuase you are all on the same team, so it benefits them it benefits you.
Brute can do more DPS than yours? That means enemies die faster.
Defender can H34lz0r more than you? That means you die less.
Dom can perma-dom? That means the mobs get to attack less.
The list goes on and on and on.
Leave PvE alone. It works fine. Yes, PvP is mostly broken, and yes it needs fixing. Thats a whole seperate issue.
And no, its not an amazing idea. If this is all a joke, then I can grin and appreciate it, because some of the comments are funny indeed. If this is actually a serious question...
The serious answer is No. -
Quote:-Asplodes-We do appreciate your concern and as this is your first post on the forums let me say that this has been brought up before. Don't get offended if you get what may seem as negative feedback by some people because there are those among us that can be less than diplomatic.

(grins sheepishly)
I'm one of them.
Just to confirm what someone else has said we do in fact have one of the lowest transfer fees on the market. other MMO's charge $25, $30, and even $50. per character.
For example just a month ago Star Wars games shut down 12 servers and forced it's customers to transfer their characters to the remaining servers. Here's the stunt they pulled. (this is an excerpt of what they told theie customers)
Now imagine you have taken a break from the game, as many players here do, and when you come back you find that not only is the server you like playing on has been shut down but you are expected to cough up $50. per character if you want to continue playing them. $10. bucks is a blessing.
Don't get me wrong I'm all for more freebies and 1 token a year isn't asking for a lot, in fact it's a reasonable place to start negotiating. It's not greedy and has precedent. I'm just saying don't be surprised if you don't see this idea being implemented.
I can see why people got mad with them fast O.o -
Quote:I like the idea itself, but I dont see how its possible logistics wise, without cutting off a huge chunk of the RWZ. It would play havoc with raids themselves, missions doors for content...everything.Categorically NO.
Not until we get another co-op zone that allows lowbies in. And don't just tell me AE in pocket D.
I enjoy putting together teams for my SG and an associated VG and being able to go to the RWZ to run missions regardless of anyones level. We're not power leveling people, we're running story content, and I enjoy being able to do that from low levels to high on either side.
I'm sorry my team of 8 is ruining your head count for a Rikti raid, but you know what? My team of 8 has been doing that since the RWZ co-op was added.
So sorry, I don't agree with limiting down a whole zone again just because you can't get raid leaders who have the sense of self preservation to put together teams that don't have lowbies. If the zone is full and people are being stupid? Move to the RWZ 2.
Personally I'd rather see the raid move to its own instance (IE split the zone like Eden and the Hive. And make the mothership section of the zone a level 40+ hazard area.
And I love the zone being open. I also love Raids, and I dont want them to become dead again (we had a brief crash out on Union when the regular Friday runs stopped) because *both* things rock. -
Most annoying groups;
CoT
Scrapyarders/Dockworkers
Cimerorans.
CoT are specifically ghosts. Having S/L is hard enough anyway...-hit aura and energy attacks...and...ugh. Certain bosses are also horrible, but at least they are Bosses.
Scrapyarders and Cimerorans, for being mere humans, UNENHANCED, do rediculous ammounts of damage. I wouldnt mind if, say, they spawned in larger numbers while doing less damage...but ye GODS!
Actual specific enemy types;
PPD Equalisers. The ghosts I dont actually mind. The equalisers, though....URGH that AoE glue grenade hacks me off so far, namely because it is NOT a locational AoE...its horrible, whatever it is.
Ballista's, simply because they use a pitiful move like Force Push with the foce of a Steam Train. I really, really hate them. -
I think I might favourite this thread.
Y'know, when I'm deluding myself with the worth of humanity. Or simply when I want to laugh at carbon-based constructs. Or simply to make myself feel a little bit insane.
In all seriousness? This makes me glad I play EU side. I can just play casually and how I want to play, without worrying about being randomly kicked for not 'healing fast enough' or 'not enough dps!' or somesuch...
Sheesh. -
Quote:There's no need.Actually... *sobs* I'm up to 2 negative comments on the teaser now on YouTube (never mind what's on other sites). *weeps*
Though I do have to admit, if I (and my almost 500 YouTube subscribers) were of the same submoronic intelligence as my detractors appear to be, I'd love to organize a movement to bombard their actual channels (not their videos, just their channels) with one witty, scathingly eloquent putdown after another until they collapse crying in a corner from their own inferiority.
If we were.
Thankfully, we're not.

Critics are just that; critics. They can't do. So they criticise. This is why I rarely trust film critics. Cos they tend to talk so much horse-puckey.
Your work is good. Yes, some things could be done better, because no art is ever 'perfect'. When you feel happy with it, odds are other people will agree. -
While you're at it, there are multiple times when Arachnos costumes suffer from things, mostly wolf capes and buttcapes, setting themselves to 'None' in the tailors, even if you have on your costume.

Must....not...rage at the awesome!

Ok, envy much...gonna need to try and draw some stuff now.
I'd love to see how Alpha would turn out in that style, though...very, very nice. -
Both are good, but I would vote for Shia.
How come I never learn of these contests until they are nearly over? I'm going to need to stalk the art boards more... -
You should try playing Assassins Creed 2, Sam. There is something immensly satisfying running someone through with a spear you picked up off the last mob, then proceeding to take out a whole detachment of guards steadily and methodically, while the citizens flee from the Man in the White hood.
Especially since AC2 perfected the combat system, it really is one of the most satisfying around. Sure, certain enemies can't be counter-killed in one shot, but they still get hurt by the attack. Sure some of them can't be grabbed or disarmed in one shot, but once you weaken them a little bit you can. Its diverse, it stays fresh, the ammount of combo kills, counter kills and special weapon kills is so large there will always be one that pops up that makes you go 'oooo neat'.
Fun times. -
Worst game for Knocback ever;
Transformers the Movie Game
Now, yes, I shouldn't have been too surprised. Film knock offs are, by dint of being film knock offs, exceptionally bad.
But the shear ammount of KB in that game was.....argharghARGHarghARGHOHGODTHERATS.
It was that freaking bad. The combat was horrible, the driving was horrible, the plot was mauled beyond belief....actually, no, thats not fair, the plot was *different* to the movie, but ACTUALLY had more character, especially for the Decepticons. (AND they had the original Megatron voice in it! Woo!)
But then...before that, there was the glory that was Transformers. I dont know what its subtitle was, but it was based off the Armada series.
And you know what? It had Knockback in it, yes, but it was done well.
Knockback was reserved for things like Spider Tanks, big walking laser guns which had an alternate power up attack that sent you flying. It was saved for Heavy Units and their foot stomp which, although powerful, was easy to dodge and so balanced. It was saved for the mini-bosses that were the Command Units in later levels, who only packed a non-seeker missile at range, but did also pack a freaking sword...
And Bosses, naturally. But you could stand and take freaking missiles to the face, and not fall over (your health would scream at you, though). And, even when you fell over, you felt like this hulking, badass robot, partially thanks to the physics, which was well done, but also to the satisfying Thud sound and the joypad rumble.
Cheap tricks and moves: Bad

Although part of me does still hope that they will look at PvP again someday. I did used to enjoy it, despite getting my tin can handed to me a fair few times.
Still...those few kills with my stalker and MM were very satisfying ^^ -
Executing path; Point_Laugh.exe
Initiating: Tear_Ducts.sys

Nearly all of my toons end up with 3 trays, crowded things like VEATs, HEATs and MMs ending up with 4.
My bottom row will always have rest in the bottom right, then GvE jump pack then sprint. Above rest is fortune, then next to that is walk.
I tend to run with attacks on the top, shields/mezzes/Specials on the 2nd row and then more random stuff on number 3. 4 tends to be the corner and travels etc. -
Two cents;
7 is superior to Vista in nearly every way. The only thing so far is the automatic driver checker and updater is a bit worse, but t'be honest the USB-ethernet Im trying to work with is something I borrowed, made in China...I just blame the Uni for not letting us plug into Xbox Live...cheap ****s....
Yes, Microsoft layouts in the control panel are sometimes horrendously frustrating, but thats poor layout design by some schmuck who they really need to fire. The actual running of the OS is so much smoother than Vista.
And don't get me started on Macs. Sorry, Je, I'll never be able to agree with you on them

Quote:^ThisWhy is it that every time someone says "cross-faction teaming," the immediate response is to add an Architect to Pocket D? The War Zone has missions and arc which only one person on the team needs to be high enough to get. Actual missions and arcs, not the architect grab bag of random chance.
If the RWZ had been open when my Vanguard Colonel had been levelling up, I probably would have enjoyed the 1-35 run a lot more. At least I would have been in the right zone for him. It also took me until 35 to even get the right badge title for him, something I got for a few other characters as soon as the warzone opened up. -
Good post as usual, Sam.
I think that sums up the part of me that screams at my Crab Spider when he still gets KB'd by stuff...finally get a VEAT, a walking tank with four freaking gun arms attached to his back, huge blades on his fore arms, maxed out height and usually unstoppable...and then he gets bounced off walls by someone like Sigil (argharghargh) because somebody in their infinite wisdom decided to give Crab Spiders a KB hole.
Thats probably also why I enjoy playing my old main when I do, Chief Centurion Z1, Invul/EM tanker. It took me numerous mistakes and respecs to get him where he is, but nowadays he feels like that End Boss feel. The majority of enemies plink away at his health. Sure its all the time, and when you add in Bosses and stuff it does become more of a fight, but it still feels epic, sat in the middle of this mass of enemies, laughing as they plink away.
Maybe that's why Reichsman bugs the hell out of me, at least Villains side. He's just a huge sack of HP, with a few Godhammer attacks and nasty debuffs.
Ok, I haven't done the LRSF either, so maybe States is just as bad, which would at least make sense.
But, yeah. In a way beating up the big bads is kinda more fun, because you kicked their *****, despite being smaller. My all time favourite I think was a Boss fight in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon on Gameboy Advance. A really neat side scroller. One boss room you walked into, hopping down a few platforms, with what looked like two random mounds beneath you.
And then the freaking Zombie Dragons actually lifted their heads up.
Not one, but two Zombie dragons, both spitting fireballs at you. And, yes, it was headshots only. Watching one of them die was satisfying...and then the other one bit a few chunks out of it to regen a chunk of health...
When the last one hit the deck...that felt good right there. I always wish those boss fights were replayable. -
Crey lab I'm pretty certain has been put back in, since that was the final map for one of my arcs, which got removed and then, recently, put back in.

Yeah, thanks for that, West. Like I needed more mental scarring...

Quote:Trenchcoats are mandatory, on pain of death!Okay, it looks like Ava is the only suitable character I have.
We going to bother with SG costumes or not? If you want, I could try whip something up.
Uhm...Probably not a uniform. Maybe just use of the SG Icon, whatever that ends up being?
Y'know...'They shall know us by our deeds, not by the colour we wear'. Or something. Heh.
