When I was porting my files off my laptop to my new rig, I had to stop the CoX uploader from updating to the US one a few times (they get a shinier front page than us! ¬¬)
So I know I can copy-paste-edit that with a bit of trial and error.

If you or someone you know is up for it, building your own PC is probably the most cost effective way to go.
Being a complete tech n00b, my mate helped me order the parts, then kindly built the entire thing.
I can crunch DoW2 on highest settings (a very high end set of graphics, for thos whoe don't know it) so I'm fairly confident it can cope with Ultra mode =]
Its a very quiet PC, although the DvD drive is a tad noisy since it was fairly basic, and it topped out at around £700. Much lower than a store-bought, and higher quality, I would wager. -

I wondered why it sounded wierd when teaming with a friend who, yup, had a shield Brute. She was using some sound clip I had never heard before, so I guess something got gyped up somewhere/

I'm entertaining the idea of getting a US account for a month or so over the holiday period, to take a peek US side. Just wondering on a few details, though;
-Does buying a US game charge dollars, and thus the exchange rate as well?
-How do you go about applying that US version to your NC account? Does it need updating?
-I take it the Booster packs only work on the specific versions, EU and US?
And, the actualy in-game question;
-Which server US side if the 'Home' of RP?

I would wager that I17/whichever issue coincides with GR, has some new costume goodness. I would hope so, at any rate.
And GR should have some new gubbins (yes, not free, but hey ho)
I do seriously hope we get stuff like SWAT armour, NPC parts and suchnot.
More hairstyles, please dear lord...theres still a very small pick of decent (IMO) hair styles, that dont look utterly useless for more 'normal' characters (PPD cop, soldiers, casual costumes etc) -

There's been some really awesome moments of RP in the Corporation group (Union side). A plot run by @Darke in the NHU was also a really great one, especially the finalle.
I dunno, really. There've been some great spontaneous little moments over the years, but I still sort of lack any real 'centre piece'.
Would love to organize a really BIG RP event to run...something that would go down in game history...

Well, I had the idea for my vampire, Lord Leon DeFeurard, for a while...
But while browsing vampire pictures I came across one person in particular;
(I know, its the only one which showed him without the top-hat)
That pretty much IS Leon. I think it's something in the eyes.
Theres been ones that are close to certain characters, but I've found very few actual matches.
I really do need to draw some more of them. -

That said, I agree with the OP. There's a couple of pools that could do with a re-shuffle. -
I'd be interested in an actaul job, although I do need to finish my animation course first.
Then I could give up on sleep and re-build all the out-dated mobs and start churning out costume pieces.
Might even get made a canon character...
What? Even robots can dream, ok?

Of course, it is not up to me and things will stay as they are until GR launches. GR is the new big hope of salvation. I expect that it will bring some relief but it wont save this game for a long time.
Also, an all EU merge would really hack off the french and german speakers. I remember the time one of them, think it was french, went down while all the others were up after an Issue. They were not amused.
And yes, a server merge would annoy lots of people, especially if people lost names, etc. -
