There's been some really awesome moments of RP in the Corporation group (Union side). A plot run by @Darke in the NHU was also a really great one, especially the finalle.
I dunno, really. There've been some great spontaneous little moments over the years, but I still sort of lack any real 'centre piece'.
Would love to organize a really BIG RP event to run...something that would go down in game history...

The RP that came out of the rikti war.
The invasion council, hero villain cease fire, SGs setting up bunkers and relief centers, massive IC rikti hunts, loads of stories, and Big Game being woke up at 4am by a circuler saw.
The Helen/Helsinger arc I wrote Dec 04-Feb 05 in Whitmoore Apartments.
A little cowriting I did (and a great deal of reading as a fan) with American_Valor for Tales of the Council.
Starting Paragon University with Citizen_Stu, writing Winter Kills.
The big blow-out arc and final fight with Citizen_Stu and American Valor for Simon-Says, Kid Valor, and Jack Stryker.
So many, many good memories and most of them as a fan reading my fellow writers' work.

Mechano's disastrously entertaining meeting with The Court, The Gang and The Coorporation. Britanic's Supremacy Plot, Chronodyne Drugwave, Thug's Mansion RP thread, Moth Cathedral RP thread, Riot in King's Row, New World Alliance's recent crimewave and even the Midnight Illuminati's Secret War... oh wait, that hasn't happened yet. Seriously, I think my most memorable RP moment has to be Lunk's Council of War...
Probably because it worked so well with the actual in-game Rikti Invasion and both events played off each other to create an enjoyable, entertaining and believable plot that lots of people (and in a way, everyone) got involved in. Hmm, we should do something like this again, a community-wide RP event that coincides with the Going Rogue story. *Goes off to thought-shower*

So what's your favorite CoH RP moment?
Well get the ball rolling I'll start with mine.
the tale of Ellie and the Ziggursky prison break.
All that happened in that story was acted out IC over mIRC, the tension built as there were hints of plans from various posts on the EU RP forums.
As one person said, "It's like the scene in Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels where three different groups of gangsters are all preparing to go after the same group of people, you get shots of all three loading up.." (I would link to it but the language used is NSFW).
You had the android hero Seven heading there to sort out Ellie's transfer from the 'hero' wing of the Ziggursky (reserved for heroes gone bad) into the general criminal populace. A team of Vigiliants (Unity Vigils androids) and her friend turned criminal Dr Mechano who had bought along the fugitive Wild Red for backup.
