I would want Sister Solaris's outfit- I like it so much I'm designing a real life version (modified a bit for modesty!)
I also want all those missing bits from the CoT costumes, an arachnos-style buttcape that males and females can wear, and something akin to Scirocco's egyptian-style kilt. -
I'll give my thumbs up to the idea of NPC-inspired costume parts!
-
Even if we got slightly modified versions of the NPC parts, that would be pretty sweet.

^This, exactly. It's one reason why I view "It's not in comic books" as a pretty weak excuse to keep something out.
-
I'm sorry, but I HATE the everloving snot out of "It's not in Comic Books!" as a reason why something, be it a powerset or costume piece should not be in this game. You know what? I'm not even a huge comic book fan. I joined this game after a friend (technically against the rules) let me sit down at his computer and play CoH, and I experienced how fun it was, and how the game's costume creator allowed me to design almost any kind of character I could envision, and its incredibly open and diverse storyline allowed me to come up with any kind of backstory I wished, and roleplay it as such. There was room here for almost anything. I didn't have to be an elf, orc, or spandex-clad human.
I personally might not get that much use out of a dinosaur or caveman costume pack. But I sure would like to see what other players did with it. I suspect that once it got mix and matched with all the other costume sets in-game, we'd see lots of aliens, fantasy characters and other creative things I can't even think up right now, and that's what I love about this game- the sheer creativity it encourages in the playerbase. -
I'll have to post a few of mine here, I get compliments on them in-game all the time.
-
I couldn't even get into the game, so I decided to spend the evening in a galaxy far, far away, lol

Of all the Praetorian villains, I actually feel sorry for Mother Mayhem. Reading her dialogue, it's obvious she is not all there, there's something seriously wrong with that woman. Delusional, perhaps?
You have to wonder what kind of person she might have become had she gotten treatment for whatever her problems were. -
How do I change my billing for CoH? I want to switch to paypal for the time being, instead of using my credit card.

This whole thread is making me laugh. Maybe States just uses a dancer's belt?
I've seen many spandex cosplays whose only major flaw was the lack of one. -
The red robed staff fighter at 2:19 battling the female Tsoo was me! I had fun running that story arc with D_R and beating up those bad guys at the end. I can't wait for Staff fighting to go live, it's one of my fave power sets. And the trailer really makes I22 look good!

I've been having fun mix-and-matching Imperial Dynasty. I've come up with some sweet results, I'll have to post them later. One I made on Beta was for a male character and featured a combo that was mostly Justice and Imperial, which looked pretty good on a staff scrapper.

Being unable to wear the new Pocket D shiny dress under a trenchcoat or magic bolero has been a real limit to me, as far as the usefulness of that costume set. I really wish some of the limitations on which things can be used in which categories weren't so..arbitrary sometimes.
-
I'll sign this too. My male characters want a sash as well, can we please have one that works for both genders, and isn't excluded from use with jackets? I would love to pair the steampunk jacket and skirt with the carnie sash, but currently I can't

I wish we had gotten that hammer as a celestial mace, not what we did get, which was the axe turned around backwards, which just looks wrong.
-
I hope they'll look at more than just the CoT backpart, when it comes to possibly giving us players more of it. Surely there's more pieces in that set that we can use, and enough ways we can mix and match to avoid the red herring of "clipping issues".
We really got the bare minimum with that pack, and the fact that so much of it was denied us really angered a lot of people. I still want some of the different skirt options, and that nice short capelet that the energy mages wear. -
Yes, a Times Square/Manhattan feel would be perfect for Steel Canyon, maybe more of an art deco look for Talos
-
Count me happy too Now if only we could get a few more pieces of those CoT costumes, or the warrior belt available for use without robes, I'd be REALLY happy
-
For some of these pieces, such as the ray guns, I hope they'll do more than just one, perhaps first and second place. It would add some variety to the pack, so that everyone who uses it doesn't look the same. I would love it if they made both B and D from these choices, for example. D's my favorite.

It's pretty much a discussion on "How NOT to RP" now.
-
Yeah, pretty much what everyone else said. Saying that your and ONLY your conception of how a demon should be RP'ed is "right" is just plain arrogant, to say the least. Demons have appeared in many cultures and mythologies, with many aspects, behaviors, and personalities. And that's just older stuff, let alone depictions in modern culture. So to say that there's only one "right and true" concept is just plain wrong.
Something else I take issue with- the OP claims that all the good names and concepts were taken within the first year. Funny- I see characters made just days ago with names and concepts that intrigue me. And while waiting for a valentine's mission team in Pocket D, I had somebody come up and tell me that they loved my concept- a concept for a character created just a couple of weeks ago. That's what I love about this game- we're not shoehorned into the narrow mould of "human with powers and funny tights, who HAS to have a comic-book sounding name". We can be almost anything in this game, almost any concept will fit. (Well, they won't let us make drug, sex, or toilet themed characters, or use plays on cusswords as names)
I have made a couple of characters based on game lore- their stories tie into the fall of Woodvale, aka Eden. But I wove their stories into the game's lore, I didn't force canon (what little there is about that event) to change for my character.
I've dealt with RPers before, who were all like "Oh my character could defeat yours, blah blah blah", and it's annoying. It turns fun into the RP equivalent of a pissing contest. I remember some annoying demon type once- I had one of my characters, who was the avatar of a Tower Crane. He was going on about how he could snap my structure with his fist, blah blah blah." What's the fun of RPing with somebody whose whole concept of RP is "My character can beat up yours"? I wish I had thought of this sooner- In a world where people summon demons like calling for pizza, and demonic sacrifices are performed in vacant lots all the time, having a construction site (and its resident crane) protected by magical wards designed to keep demons out would not be unheard of. Or this being a city full of superpowered beings behaving like they want the title of "captain collateral damage", one can easily see an enterprising (or just self preserving) Crane Avatar protecting his original form with a little impervium or other useful substances scavenged during his extracarricular crime fighting sprees. -
I have to admit, having played the SSA and seen States get it, I like Kurrent's re-write better. Much more epic, and oh so very cool!
It actually makes States and his partners look good, unlike being suckered into a trap and just giving up. -
I went with B myself, because it looks like it will fit with the greatest number of concepts, and I love the glow pattern on the clothes.
