You mostly can, t'be honest. Bots comes with a ST heal in the set anyway, which I tend to use on the Assault bot if he ever gets beaten up a bit. But between the Protector bot shields, the FF gen bubble and Bots natural resistances, you really don't need to heal them that often. And when you start IOing, even less so.

Bottom line is you WILL end up resummoning the Tier 1 pets. This is true of any MM primary; pets do die. Either via lucky shots or stupid A.I.

    Noooooooo!

Only if it's written well. And even then, only if it absolutely has to be done.

Forced failure is not, in my opinion, fun. It's like the stupid timed mission in Tina's arc in PI, where you have like a five minute mission. Even if you bust a gasket and manage to complete it..oh look! You STILL failed!
That sort of thing is disheartening, and not in a 'I shall have vengeance!' kind of way, more 'F this, I'm going to go get a drink and watch a film..." sort of vibe.

Character death that serves a point and tugs a few emotional heartstrings, yes. Like Aerith in Final Fantasy 7. And...oh, damn...the man who got a statue outside Kings Row yellow line station, who was in the CoX comics...
But not failure for the sake of saying 'Hey, even after all this time, you still screw stuff up! Nyaaah!'. Because that's really dull and irritating.

    Robot Torso

Correction: We don't have any good robot feet. The Monstrous feet only work if you are after digitgrade legs, and only one choice of colour and no texture. The robotic claws are likewise. My robotic Hero keeps getting mistaken for a guy in power armour, because so many people use Tech wired and suchnot.
And the majority of the large and banded feet are horrible. Absolutely fugly. They have club feet, for pity sake. Update needed much?

    Infernal: "Ow! What?!"

Des: : "Never tried binding demons under the control of someone else into your armor before, have you?"

    *Infernal punches himself again*

    Infernal: "OW! Dammit!"

Anchorman in newsroom: "Well, that's an unexpected setback! Wil Infernal manage to override her control of his armor or...hey, what's she making him do-"

    *CRUNCH!*

    Infernal: "AHHHHHGH!"

Anchorman in newsroom: "Oooh, that's gotta hurt!"
Damnit, beat me to the punch :P

But yeah. Difference between Demon binder and someone who actually controls the things. Wearing demon armour is cool, right until someone makes it punch you in the face...which it'd probably be happy about, due to all the crammed in angry demons isndie

I hate raw or cooked tomatos, yet love tomato sauce and cheese and tomato pizza.

I also hate marmite, yet love twiglets (European snack thing which has marmite in it)
    Life is odd at times

On a slightly more serious note, I would agree with those decrying the Marketing dep. Whatever job they are doing, I honestly cant say I've seen any of its results. Which is worrying.

(Psst, by the way...Who works on the mission map department? I thought it was you, but...whoever it is, tell them I found flaws in the snake caves )
  6. Bots/Traps. Good survivability, good damage output, great soloing potential. My namesake Bots/Traps is one of the few characters I can stand to solo, on x5 no less, because his build is fun to play and capable of moving at a steady pace that is both 'active' to play and not boring. It's not just a case of run up, cycle attacks; you need to control the pets and have some tactics. But when you do, boy does it pay off.

Was just trampelling Malta, and the only thing that gave me any issue was the odd Zeus Titan they threw at me, mostly due to the ungodly level of AoE's those damn things have. But they are rarer than not.
Bots/Traps is also capable, apparently, of soloing AV's, although mine isn't. That's fine by me; I don't aim for uber godmode. Regular godmode works fine for me

    Let's get that info!
  8. It takes time. Right now GR has priority. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see some base love in the future though.

    I did say.
They wind up like that, slap some explosive collars on them so they can't attack the people with the killswitch, and throw them down the sewers to kill off any Resistance members they bump into.
If they kill a loyalist, weeeell....they obviously weren't good enough.

    Robot Torso

    More robot options /signed.

The new Praetorian clockwork bits are a godsend, but more 'finished' robot sets would be awesome. Skeletal robots would be nice, as would a full steampunk set, and suchnot.

    But yes, please.

Neh. I know it could look really cool, but I can't actually see it working with any ammount of ease. Sorry. Oh, and wings are not level locked, capes are. Wings are available from level 1 (recipe) or 15 months (veteran wings)

    Amen to that.

I have a Vangaurd Colonel, Sword/Shield. I love those weapons.
Also got two other characters who use Vangaurd stuff, both being members. My Empath/Psi has full armour and the mouthguard, while my AR/Ice blaster is working on the whole set.

    I love the Vanguard kit.
  13. ((I really want to make a Were-character now, damn you Blarg! D= I'm short on slots as it is!))
  14. I think it's likely the whatever percent of metas that *don't* make it through Chimera's brutal training regime probably end up as those poor monsters. Or something like that.

    Great stuff so far =]

    I concur
  18. Open up Golden Giza's casino See if you can beat Johnny 'The Pipes' Sonata at his own game.

/Signed for apartments, though not sure if they would work as an inf sink.
  19. So, the arguement being that, because some people who can spend a lot of time just grinding 50s can get up to 2billion, by that reasoning everyone can?

Sorry, I'm not buying it. The only time, through casual play, that I've seen anything over 100million is first because a friend was incredibly generous (helped they were the sort of person who *does* have all day to run TFs, etc) and the second because I got two and thus far my only purple drops in one mission, one of them being one of the blast ones (Not sure which one now)

    Minority Capability! = Majority capability
  20. Think Diggis is right, that makes it sound like the Brighton office is still open and fully functional...
  21. I would. Multiple times, in fact.
Because I'd be the one making it

What, I guy can dream, right?
The answer is still yes, so long as they do a good job on it.

    Bwahahahaha!
It's true, so very true :P

Fortunately, I tend to lob my pets like armed ICBMs at mobs. In the case of Detonator, literally. I love that power.
Being Bots/Traps I tend to be in the scrum anyway, dropping poison trap/trip mine combo right in the heart of a mob, letting the soft cap def do the rest of the work

Uh-oh. Did either of you two catch that clue? 'What has four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, three in the evening and eight when it's been imbibing old gods!?' That last part could mean Lord Recluse, so I'll keep an eye out for someone dressed like him, but I could use a few alternative answers.

In the meantime I seriously hope one of you has a better connection to the outside world than I do right now. I need to get word out to the Stiletto division about the situation, if they're not already aware, and to tell them to send Agent Ledford over here. With a few drones. She'll understand that alone!
"Question," Wolf murmured, keeping a sharp eye out for anyone dressed as Recluse, "If I get that staff off him, will we be safe? Or is he actually holding the button down, deadmans switch style?"

"Wolf, you do anything rash and I'll kick your a$$ from here to the next state," Vix growled, her voice slightly distorted. "And, yeah, this is a psychic link. Pardon the static."
"Vix's right, Wolf," the Chief came in, obviously having shut down his external vox. "We do not mess around with civilian lives on the line."
"Any chance this guys bluffing?" Fox chimed in.
"I'm not willing to risk that," Vix snapped. "Whatever we do, we do it when the time is right."
  24. There were two acknoledgement of Molly's signal, one from Wolf, up in the rafters, the other from Jen outside the doors.

The Inspector looked the doors up and down, her optics peeling the walls away to show her a multi-spectrum view of the room.
"I need to know if we can get the civilians out of danger first. After that, I think it's pretty much a case of wrapping up," she said quietly, glancing at the other two women. "Civilian safety is priority one right now..."
