Best PVE solo build?

Hi im currently a level 24 mm bot /pain build

I was wondering the best pve solo build
I don't care so much about damage output more serviceability.

I know only a few pet classes can heal but I don't know them all.
The protector heals are random as I'm sure all pets are. My main problems is when it try's to melee and dies before it can heal. I use pain to overcome this problem. It would be nice at some point to re-spec to some thing that dose a little more damage since I solo most of the time.

So what pet class can tank well and heal and what would be a good build/set

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Bots/Traps. Good survivability, good damage output, great soloing potential. My namesake Bots/Traps is one of the few characters I can stand to solo, on x5 no less, because his build is fun to play and capable of moving at a steady pace that is both 'active' to play and not boring. It's not just a case of run up, cycle attacks; you need to control the pets and have some tactics. But when you do, boy does it pay off.

Was just trampelling Malta, and the only thing that gave me any issue was the odd Zeus Titan they threw at me, mostly due to the ungodly level of AoE's those damn things have. But they are rarer than not.
Bots/Traps is also capable, apparently, of soloing AV's, although mine isn't. That's fine by me; I don't aim for uber godmode. Regular godmode works fine for me

Actually, I could see Bots/Pain being a very good solo set.

The protector bots' heal is actually triggered when a pets' HP gets below a certain point. And if you put healing enhancements in it, then I think it alters at what percentage the heal activates at.

The only MM primaries that heal are robots (as you know), Mercs (The medic gets a very weak heal), and zombies (They get life drain, so it's acts as both)

I find the best tanking primary to actually be robots imo. The protector bots give you a nice defensive boost with the bubble, along with your pets. Pair bots up with force fields or traps or pain maybe, and you can tank pretty easily. Even /dark does well.

But honestly, I think you can pretty much solo well with every MM combo. Go with Bots or thugs if you're wanting to do more AoE, and go with Ninjas or zombies if you wanna aim more towards single target damage.

Hope that helps!

How would I heal. I know I cant leave it up to the pets. It seems I would be over whelmed and have to re-summon them all the time.

I'll also add in Bots/Dark. 2x aoe heals, great tohit debuffing + howling twilight, and couple that with electric fences and fluffy's debuffs, /x8 missions are a walk in the park

This is the build I use for solo farming, oh and it's also very effective in arena PvP... apparently

If you really need a heal, you could always use aid self from pools. Traps does get triage beacon which is a +regen pbaoe, although honestly, I very rarely pull it out, only if I'm nailing an eb/av/gm etc... Stay in body guard mode. Pair that with your force field gen, and your 1 bub from your protector bot and you will find you are really, really tough... Try to keep the attention on you, and you wont need to re-summon very often.

Actually, on my bots/traps, I don't have to re-summon too much.

The FFG plus the bubbles from my protector bots seem to do okay at keeping them alive. I also have maneuvers and the +5% defense IO for the pets.

If you use traps effectively, you can sometimes end up wiping a mob without your pets taking any damage at all. Use the seeker drones -perception and acid mortar's tanking abilities to your best. Poison trap and Caltrops do a great job at making the enemies not attack you so much.

If you wanted to try and take all the damage, but yourself in bodyguard, and grab the AoE provoke from the presence pool. Your pets will share damage with you, but they shouldn't be getting the brunt of it.

And like the above poster said, grab Aid Other if you need it.

Thugs/Dark. You get a Dark Servant to help you with healing (and you can heal, too; and both heals are in an AoE), you get buttloads of debuffs to keep pets alive and destroy AVs or large spawns, and you get a pocket Brute pet to keep the agro off your ranged damage dealers so they can lay down their cones of death.

It feels like you're playing with cheat codes.

Bots/FF is hilariously durable, but you sacrifice offense.

It can be boring to play, but you'll have no problem getting up from the comp to fetch another beer in the middle of a fight. By the time you get back you and your minions will still be alive, and everything else will be dead.

I tried the same trick with my new bots/traps, and of course the FFG timed out and I wiped

I liked (and I use this term loosely) Bots/Pain. Unless you crank the difficulty up to 11, it's almost absurdly easy to solo missions with this combo. I'd occasionally put my bots on aggressive, put the AoE heal on autocast, then alt-tab out until they finished killing everything. As the missions get harder, you can't always do this, but it's still a VERY easy combo to solo with.

Any MM is an excellent soloer, of course, but your best bets will probably come through any combination of Bots or Thugs and Traps or Dark. FF also factors in, but reports are that it tends to be boring, and unlike Traps and Dark, FF doesn't really have any tools to make things die faster or pull you out of a fire if your defence fails you for some reason.

So, Bots or Thugs, Traps or Dark. Any combo.

You mostly can, t'be honest. Bots comes with a ST heal in the set anyway, which I tend to use on the Assault bot if he ever gets beaten up a bit. But between the Protector bot shields, the FF gen bubble and Bots natural resistances, you really don't need to heal them that often. And when you start IOing, even less so.

Bottom line is you WILL end up resummoning the Tier 1 pets. This is true of any MM primary; pets do die. Either via lucky shots or stupid A.I.

You mean other than personal force field? (Virtually guaranteed survival mode) The knock back power is also nice if a single enemy decides to focus in on your MM. Just keep them knocked down and they won't be able to kill you.

My all time favorite for solo was my Thugs/FF. Between the enforcers' Tactics power, and all my force fields, my thugs were constantly at the 45% soft cap. That means my Brute could get his fury built up all the way to the top and just keep cruising through enemies.

On teams, the build really sucked, though, because it's just crazy tedious trying to keep 13 force fields up on everybody all the time, and it's hard to keep the thugs close together when you're on a team with other players (if they run outside the Enforcers' radius, they suddenly drop down to like 20% defense and then it's possible for them to die.)
