  1. I've got a D-Link router, and no crashes.

    Specificaly, DI-604.
  2. Epic sets are completely different than primary/secondary sets, and should NEVER match IMO (that's why they're not pri/sec), so that part of your argument is a moot point.

The other examples, though, comparing primary/secondary sets to primary/secondary sets, is valid...and could very well be looked at if they want to do some more standardization.
  3. Could be they've got the badges already. Could be they just want to go do other stuff for more mission bonuses (more XP over time.) Could be they just don't care about the second half. Could be they didn't know. Could be lots of things.
  4. Geko is no longer with CoH, so Geko-bait is unlikely to work.

However, I'm just saying - gotta have blinders to not see they're ramping up the communication lately. I just honestly think that they were in a slump, crunching to get I7 out, then crunching to get I7 fixed as best they could before I8 got out, then crunching to get I8 out on time. I9's inventions look largely finished from the latest leaks on Test, down to the tweaks and fidgets, which puts the biggest load off their shoulders...meaning they have time to stretch their legs and meander on over here from out of the rabbit hole. Yes, they still have bugs to fix in I8, but the biggest crunch in I9 seems to be mostly finished.

Maybe people wouldn't attack them so much if they'd take some communications classes and do a MUCH better job talking to us about fixing major bugs like the crashing that's been effecting far too many of us since I8 was released TWO MONTHS ago? ...[snip]... they devs and moderators seem to be tone deaf to important issues effecting the game.

[/ QUOTE ]Have you LOOKED in the Community/Dev Digest lately? There's been more posts by Castle, Positron, Statesman, Visigoth, et al, in the last two months than there was in the FIVE MONTHS before that! I mean, honestly. I think you're deliberately wearing blinders here.

Statesman if you listening also positron and others I love this game and want to continue playing and support your efforts 100% but im really slummed about finding out about the whole marvel dispute I would hate to have CoX die within the next year or so especially to support a joint company development of Marvels MMO. I know the subscriptions have drastically dropped and since its launch its been down but I WOULD NOT play nor support marvels MMO at any cost. So if you guys are going to call it quits on CoX then I would be greatly disappointed it would be a lost of an excellent game. Could any of the DEVs shed some light on this matter?

[/ QUOTE ]Marvel is being developed by a different group of programmers than who works on CoH. There may or may not be some collaboration occasionally between the two teams, but reportedly Cryptic has over 200 staff now, which means plenty of folks to work on separate games without taking focus away from one or the other. City of.. is very profitable for them: It has had a stable 170k-ish subscribers for the past year-ish or so. It would be suicide to shunt it off to the weaklings at this point in time.
  7. Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but here goes:

My toga on my defender clips horribly with her pectoral muscles. Her shoulder slider is out to about 3/4, waist is at max, and chest is at minimum. The result is a fairly normal looking person, but breaks the toga for some unknown reason, when she is standing with her arms straight down or hands on hips. Issue disappears when she's in combat-ready stance, or arms crossed. Shows up in several emotes as well.

    Example image
  8. This is fixed on an internal build. One of the next several patches to the Test Server should see it, then it should hit Live soon after that.

Also, if I go to the tailor, I have charges on costume changes I haven't even done!

[/ QUOTE ]If you have costume pieces that have been changed in name or order, you will have to find them again at the Tailor. What you're wearing right now is obviously out of date because they change to the defaults. So go in and find your costume pieces again, and you'll be good to go.
  10. The FAQ is still being collected. The LJ post is a supplement. Please try to keep a bit of perspective here. The LJ post is not going to be implemented in the way that the consolidated list of FAQs request post is going to implement the consolidated list of FAQs.

    Supplement.

    Not replace.

    Perspective.
  11. Perhaps I cannot afford the game this paycheck, but next paycheck allows me $15-30 for either a credit card payment or a game card.

Incidentally, not only do you not have to have an active account to ask questions, you don't have to have an active account to ANSWER questions. There are a lot of users who answer questions in the LJ community who don't actually have a current active account.

It's not supposed to be a replacement. It is, however, an extension, and one that works whether or not you can/cannot afford/want to to keep your account active every time you want to post/comment.
  12. LJ did not take over LH's consolidated FAQ request. I quote from my post:[ QUOTE ]
Take a looksee at the dates. The LJ post predates Lighthouse's request for a consolidated FAQ by A WHOLE MONTH. The LJ post is NOT the consolidated FAQ that Lighthouse requested.

  13. FX, I have a little bit of respect for you from passing along the edges of some threads with your input. So please take this as it's meant, as a correction of your information, and NOT as an attack on you yourself.

The LiveJournal community is open to anyone to read, and it takes all of one minute to create a dummy account in order to participate in it. You don't even have to pay for your account, like you do here on the boards. LJ is free. Posting on LJ is free. Posting in communities on LJ is free. The LiveJournal CoH and CoV communities are all free. Posting to these official forums requires a current, active account.

The LJ CoX communities are not angst ridden teenagers posting about their latest suicide attempt.

And guess what? Take a looksee at the dates. The LJ post predates Lighthouse's request for a consolidated FAQ by A WHOLE MONTH. The LJ post is NOT the consolidated FAQ that Lighthouse requested. It was spurred by the OP getting a newbie into the game, and everybody realizing that, hey! The LJ CoH community doesn't have a FAQ yet.

Please don't let your vitriolic, kneejerk hatred of LiveJournal as a whole spill into a prejudice for an LJ community that is an extension of the boards and has been since NYE [u]2002-3[u]:

  14. I am helping you. I am pointing you to where your suggestions are more likely to be seen, since Jay (Jay being the costume guy, in case you didn't know) has been rumored to only read his two official threads.
  15. We love you too, LH!

Notes: Please realize that is sort of a "work in progress" and rather rambling and tangential >.> Especially the comments
  16. Costume Suggestions thread is that way --->
  17. Jim will introduce you to non-Faultline contacts, and then after taking one of the contacts, you must talk to him again to get the next Faultline contact.

--FPS is limited by Refresh Rate somehow. Since I re-installed the game it defaulted to 60 and initially the FPS capped at 60fps. When I reset to 75 refresh, my FPS capped at 75fps. I couldn't test higher since my monitor doesn't support refresh rates higher than 75.

[/ QUOTE ]You've got vertical sync enabled.
  19. Whether the notification comes up that it's actually been robbed or not is no big deal. As long as you defeat the robbers before they get to their escape vehicle, you're good to go.
  20. On the 0/5 levels (10, 15, etc) you have a chance to do either the lower Safeguard or the higher Safeguard.
  21. You could have read my post, too. I said the release date.
  22. Hmm... now that I'm thinking about it, it's actually her date that may be incorrect. If I'm counting properly, there has only been 32 months from April 28 2004 (release date), so she shouldn't be displaying 33 months at Dec 28.

Have her write to support as well, if you could!
