"He's a world-famous zombie rock star gone bad. She's a time-travelling impetuous ****** from the wrong side of the tracks. They fight crime!"
...I swear some of these make a kind of sense. Is that even allowed? >_>
"He's a fast talking bohemian cyborg from a doomed world. She's a high-kicking cigar-chomping Valkyrie with an MBA from Harvard. They fight crime!"
It did it again! Oo
"He's a globe-trotting small-town librarian with a winning smile and a way with the ladies. She's a green-fingered junkie soap star with someone else's memories. They fight crime!"
Again, that one...sorta kinda sorta makes sense....I'm scared -
As Iron pointed out, no real problem with the Council/5th Modus Operandi. Stealthy to the Target Area, sure. But then it gets lit up like the 4th of July.
I do, however, also HATE the 'on the street' prescence of Malta and Knives. They should, if nothing else, be confined to spawning in cover/shadows/behind things. NOT out in broad daylight.
Council and 5th, fine. They have their recruitment drives, intimidation acts, fighting between each other and general 'We are Here!' street prescence. That works. CoT works too; the ancient mages are just too damn arrogant for their own good. And who's going to argue other than a cape when you have an elven foot flaming Behemoth backing you up?
But if I had any say in it, you'd really have to hunt in corners and dark places to find the Knives and Malta. Oh, and Crey would only be doing shady things in backalleys, too. So much for the corporate front... -
It's pretty solid. Certainly got some nice stuff going. I don't pretend to be an expert on this, by any means, so this is just the wildcard two inf here.
The Stone/Invul Build I've been debating over rolling. Similar overall defence, more S/L resistance, a bit less speed and frills.

Quote:I'd actually disagree with that. I tried CO out, and the only thing I liked in the CC was the options for asymetry and different upper arms, upper legs, different gloves...stuff that didnt match, basically. That was, ideed, cool.
I'm inclined to agree with _Psi_ because when I tried out CO, the only thing that grabbed me was the character creator. It was and is lightyears beyond what we have here in CoX. You might not like the art style of CO, lord knows I didn't, but the mechanics of the character creator are undeniably superior.
But thats a tech quibble. The actual CC UI was an utterly fugly mess that was a pig to navigate through. The CoX CC, to me at least, is much easier to navigate, it's easier to find where stuff is... I'd love the assymetry because that makes it LOOK like you have more options (and technically you do, yes), and stuff like holsters and backpacks and what not. But I wouldnt say theres is superior. But thats literally just my sole opinion. I probably wouldnt argue either is 'Better'. But I know which I prefer =P -
Heh, more realistic sounds for stuff thats based on real stuff is cool with me
-
It's like Power. Only at the beginning, not the slightly improved version. And, dare I say it, worse.
And, similarly, has trouble finding the right forums to...hmn...dump in. I wouldn't really class that as a post. That implies a point and some logic behind it. -
*Goes into Kheldarns house/lair and replaces all his toilet paper with that of Chuck Norris*

Nah, in all fairness, 'tis true. It's all cult of personality stuff. Even so, the Chuck Norris meme is kinda funny
Jay does do good work, though. But I would kill for the REST of the stuff that, in good vapourware tradition, supposedly goes with the Wolf tail they released. -
Quote:I can see all hell breaking loose if they merged the EU servers. I'm sure the French and German speaking players would really appreciate losing their language specifications and being lumped in with everyone else without any suppory. I can see them being overjoyed.I wish they merge all the EU servers in one, or give us the choice to transfer to NA servers.
When we europeans players complain about this, they say: " Hey, create a new account in the NA servers" but... What happens with my boosters packs, my characters and my 36 month vets rewards? Not fair at all.
Maybe a while after GR, if EU servers keep this emptiness they do something worth...
/Sarcasm
Hell ****ing NO to Server mergers. Server LIST merge? Sure. Get rid of the EU/US divide. Best way to solve it. EU players get a much needed boost, US players get two more servers and some foreign ones to add more alts to, if they wish.
Win/Win -
Depends if your using your EU or US account, Doc. Or the client.
As far as I knew, the EU test was occupying our only trest server, so the answer there would probably be a no.
US side? Not a clue. -

Yeah, in hindsight I should have spent more time getting the weighting right. Thats something I seem to struggle with a bit in general. I was just desperate to get the idea down on paper and actually finish it before it sat half done, like so much else of my work does.
Alpha was meant to be the dead-center of interest. I think my other problem is ending up, as you said, with static compositions. Even the action shots I try and do tend to come out looking static, somehow... More practice needed, I guess. -
Quote:My Peacebringer wants words with youSo play a VEAT
Heck, I'd even recomend you play a kheloldian if I didn't hate them so much.
My Warshade doesn't. He'll settle for nomming on your life-force though.
Besides, the existence of the current EATs, to me, is evidence that a wider Ranged/Defence AT COULD work. Y'know, things like Dual Pistols/Super Reflexes, or Assault Rifle/Invulenarability, Fire Blast/Fire Armour etc etc.
All it takes is number balancing. And bingo, thats a ton more concepts made possible right there and then. -
Well, my semi-abandoned lab is here;
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=205572
Considering I work so darn slow on pieces, and I only have two that are CityOf related. The first one is incredibly old, the second is much more recent. Unfortunately, feedback seems to avoid me, both here and on dA (which I swear is dead if your not mainstream thesedays -_- ) -
Hmns....
How much is Wassy art? I'm awfully tempted. It also might get me inspired to get off my tin-plated rear and do some of my OWN art (despite it always seeming lackluster compared to what is on show in this forum) -

Quote:I like that suggestion a lot.Suggestion: Color Code Team Member's HP bars
As of right now if you have the team-window open everybody's health is displayed.
Simply add a color-changing code to the HP bar. If somebody's mezzed, the bar turns from green to say... purple. There we go: even if you are in the simple HP bar mode, you can still see when somebody is mezzed.
Fair enough, this solution isn't really 100% proof since some anti-mez powers don't work on every mez. Dispersion Bubble, for example, won't do anything against sleep. O2 Boost won't do anything for Hold. Thaw won't help with Fear. So just because somebody is mezzed does not mean the anti-mezzer will actually able to do anything. -
FPARN, and in before the wall of people griping about not being in SGs, etc.
It's not a bad reward. I'm still miles off it, but I know that the multiple peeps I have in SGs will use it
-
Oh yeah, that too...

Guys? Guys, get back here, now....*teeth* -

Because it'd break the AT as it's designed?
I'm all for a Ranged/Shields or Assault/Shields AT. In fact, I tend to suggest it whenever I get the chance.
Stalkers are not the right AT to implement that though.
Oh, and anyone suggesting a dual-pistol melee set WILL be terminated with extreme prejudice.
