I enjoy both my DM/Invuln scrapper and Illusion/Cold controller. Both do a good job at Soloing AVs. My DM/Invuln can tank just about everything and kill most stuff as well. My Ill/Cold is a little trickier, relying on PA and soft-capped Smashing/Lethal/Energy defense from dying. But this toon can also solo GMs.

It's almost always a good idea to put it in either the minnion pets or the LT pets (more pets, more chances for the proc to fire)
-
Thugs gets a corruptor and a brute, Ninja's get two stalkers and a controller.

Yes, the animation is indeed smaller, however for smaller scale toons, the effect radius is on the outside of the ring. Larger characters its in the inside of the ring. The radius of the effected is the same however.
-
It's not worth it, noting that the Sweep Combo gets an extra tick of damage iirc.
-
Perma PA level recharge is all Ill/cold needs to solo AVs/GMs. Rebirth is helpful if you get a random hit when your re-summoning PA.

The thread died along time ago. Let it rest in pieces. ((Btw many of the numbers are off today, this was before 'The Great Brute Rebalancing' happened.

Quote:The power window is kinda confusing...Just wondering, what are the numbers of EA's added recharge? I mean would one target be enough for the attack chain? +Recharge aura just seems odd because in order to maximize it, you would have to run to next group as fast as possible.

Hmm, ok. I'm not sure why my brute numbers were so off, AS=55.1, BF=33.4, SS=70.9
I put the numbers in about a month ago, perhaps those were the enhanced numbers, then I multiplied the enhancements again as well.
So I'm still sane by saying Scrappers do a good deal more damage.
Also good to know that you should multiply the damage buff, then add the attacks in the chain. -
+Regen decreases time between ticks of regen. +HP increases the size of each tick.

I was debating whether to re-roll my DB/EA brute into a scrapper for extra damage. However after doing some comparison's, the brute seems to be out classing the scrapper which I don't think should be.
AS->BF->AS->SS is the attack chain I am planning on. Animation time = 5.436 seconds (there is a pause because AS doesn't quite recharge fast enough).
Double Stacked Blinding Feint = 37.5 * 2 = 75% Dam Buff
Scrapper Numbers:
Power Name ---- Base Damage ---- Enhancement ---- Enhanced Damage
Ablating Strike ------- 90.8 ------------- 96.89 ------------- 178.78
Blinding Feint -------- 55.1 ------------- 95.01 ------------- 107.45
Sweeping Strike ----- 122.3 ------------ 96.89 ------------- 240.8
So ((178.78*2)+107.45+240.8) = 705.81/5.436 = 130.08 * (double stacked Blinding Feint) = 227.64 DPS (130.08 * 1.75)
I'm not sure how to calculate for crits.... >.>
Brute Numbers:
Power Name ---- Base Damage ---- Enhancement ---- Enhanced Damage
Ablating Strike ------ 90.4 -------------- 96.89 ------------- 177.99
Blinding Feint ------- 44.1 -------------- 95.01 ------------- 86
Sweeping Strike ---- 106.2 ------------- 96.89 ------------- 209.1
((177.99*2)+86+209.1) = 651.08/5.436 = 119.77 * (double stacked Blinding Feint) = 209.6 * 134 damage buff (Fury) = 490.46??? (209.6 * 2.34)
I have to be doing the math wrong. Aren't I?

I've got enough AV soloers, I think I will do Spines/EA too.

Knowing when to pronounce 'ch' as a ch or as a k comes from the definition of the word. Arch comes from the Latin and Greek meaning head or chief. That is why the 'ch' is pronounced as a 'k' and not 'ch'.

The main reason why there are so many conflicting rules and standards in English is because it is an amalgamation of many different languages. -
Spine's/Fire with a Cold defender, though Kinetics would be ok. Cold would be better.
For spines, Barb Swipe and Confront are not worth getting, and Impale is skippable if you need the power pick. Fire Armor's skippable powers are Temp Protection and Rise of the Phoenix, however both are helpful. If you plan to always play with a cold defender, you can really ignore slotting for the S/L soft cap and just get extra recharge. If you are going to be with a Kin, you should shoot for 32.5% S/L defense or 45% defense. As for patron pools. I like how Energy Torrent meshes with Throw Spine's cone. Energy Torrent puts the mob on it's back, then throw spines as your running into the mob, and then Spine Burst inside the mob. Fire Ball in the Blaze Mastery is also helpful. Soul Mastery is nice with Shadow Meld for extra survivability. -
Made me giggle. But yes, its pronounced Ark-eh-type

I wanted you to figure out what was wrong, should help you feel more accomplished when you figure out whats wrong with the build, instead of just listing the solutions.

If you are describing the fact that buff icons are showing up oddly, not at all in some cases, sticking even after the power has worn off, click buffs are always transparent, and you show click buffs even after dying? That's an old, recropped bug that came around the issue that Will Power came out, and haunted us for months.
((And hi Mr. Verene.)) -
Hmm, 4 slotting combat jumping, and only one slotting Power Shield? really? Not giving tough anything but procs? Repulsing Torrent? 2 slotting CP? I dislike.
