  1. Wow. You, sir, have the most awesome kid in existance.

Just goes to show the little ones suck down information like a sponge. And who said games can't teach anything? Reading and writing skills, problem solving, and how to nuke criminals with fireballs! Kinda makes me wish I was on Freedom, I'd take your daughter on a team over most other players any day

    Drones go BOOM

This bug is all sorts of funny.

This should never, ever get fixed. Explosions are awesome, everything should explode. I should be ungulfed in a six-story high fireball every time I hit an inspiration.

    Please....

We're supposed to get some more information this month. When this month I don't know... but it's likely going to be Soon.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I hate you for that 'leak.' Thanks.

    And Soon. (sigh)

    [/ QUOTE ]

I expected a Rickroll...I'm still trying to figure out what the hell I just saw.

In other news, people need to learn how to be frikin' patient. We're barely into I15, sheesh....
  4. This is mostly just out of personal curiosity, though there may be others who would like to know...

The Coralax. According to lore, they come from a city in the Atlantic, built upon the goddess Merulina who created them. What is the name of the city? Also, the Shapers are clearly of great importance in Coralax culture, directly created by Merulina. So are the Shapers today the same people from anchient times? Any further details on the Coralax would be interesting, they are an extremely cool faction with alot of potential.

And aside from story questions: Will we ever see the Coralax city? Will we ever see the Virtea?
  5. I have found /Storm to be very good for being in the action while avoiding melee combat. It may just be my playstyle, but I'm always running around in the enemy ranks causing all manner of chaos.

Since changing you colors will be -20% damage how many of the non-carebears will actually do this?

    [/ QUOTE ]

That 20% is a maximum value. Remember, it scales depending on how far you deviate from the correct color.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This would explain why the red side electrical assault powers and blasts "feel" so much weaker than their blue side counterparts.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I knew I was getting ripped off!!
  7. My typical method of starting a new Hero is to just street-sweep until 5, at which point a whole slew of stuff opens up. Since many options become available at 5, perhaps we could make 1-5 the "Training" bracket. No AE, only the standard contacts. After you hit 5, a message pops up describing the options avialable, inluding Contacts, Radio, Hazard Zones, and AE. At level 10, another popup appears to inform you of Positron's TF and the TF system (This should be n place anyways, frankly).

Of course, a similar thing would happen for Villains.

    Guyver > Kamen Rider >.>;

    [/ QUOTE ]

Only if it's David Hayter. I dunno, I liked Dark Hero better than the anime, call me odd...

Hell, I just love toku all around.

This is what I get for watching too much Kamen Rider...

    [/ QUOTE ]
    LIES. LIES AND SLANDER.

There's no such thing as watching too much Kamen Rider. Especially if you're an Ally of Justice*™.

That is, unless you're watching Kamen Rider Kiva. Or Den-O (sadly).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Eh!? What's wrong with Den-O? It's in top contention for my fave, next to Kabuto. Kiva was...Eh. Decade would probably be better if I'd seen anything before Kabuto .
  10. I'd make three options:

    Normal - No PvP.
Public PvP - Your idea, with the announcement.
Private PvP - Open only to people on your Global freind list, and their team (who do not need to be Global freinds, as long as the leader is). This way you can plan matches with freinds.
  11. I think this issue should have been called "Issue 15: All the Little Things". So many miniscule tweaks were done, and I'm loving all of them...

    *Splashes around the sewer gleefully*
  12. So, this started happening after I15

While viewing another player's Info, on Villian Side, their badge list displays Hero badges. I.E., Exploration Badge icons are the hero "compass" icon rather than the "red x" icon. Even the names are reversed, I.E. the "Criminal" Day Job badge is listed as "Patroller".

It should be noted that this bug seems to have a specific trigger. When viewing the other player's Info, losing them as your current Target triggers the change instantly. I am currently uncertain if re-targeting them returns the Badge list to normal.

This is a minor bug which has no known effects on gameplay. It appears to have no effect on the player in question, only your view of their Info. I did not see this reported anywhere, my appologies if it is already known.
  13. Any time I'm in that really massive room in an Arachnos base, I love KBing enemies over the edge. When I find them down below, one or two attacks is usually enough to finish the job...

Now, n to the whole "stape of comics" bit...Yes, it is. But you failed to notice one thing:

How often does the guy show up later, having survived the fall?

Haven't you ever seen this happen and thought "If only he had been smart and made sure he was dead!"? Well, that's the point here. Instead of being an overly confident villain, I'm gonna make damn sure that hero isn't going to come back and ruin my plans. He's getting 10,000 volts in the face, just to be sure...

Besides, WoW has lethal fall damage. This was one of many reasons I quit WoW in favor of CoV. Go play WoW if you want to die every five minutes from some innane "gameplay mechanic" or another.

T I'm just pointing out the fact that this is a nightmare for nitpicky RP addicts like me :P Just making a mountain out of a molehill.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Now that you've acknowledged it, kindly shut up and stop whining.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm sharing my musings. No need to be a dick. I may not be that terribly known, but posting random crap to chat about is how one gets known. Forgive me for trying to shoot the [censored] with my fellow players.
  15. Upgrading CoX? Yeah, I'm all for that.

Making a new game? Hell no.

I like being right where I am. Being forced to leave just to get all the new stuff would be horrible. The good thing about MMOs is you don't need sequels, you can just build on the origional indefinitely.

    No sequels, plz.
  16. Thus far, I've only gotten one character higher than 40, my main villain. A couple days ago I took down Countess Crey...

Crey may not be the biggest name in the Isles, but she's definitely not insignificant. Between defeating her, and getting orders directly from Scirocco on top of that, I suddenly realized that Capt. Stormrider is no longer the average evildoer. It definitely makes you feel awesome to realize you've gone from beating up street punks and robbing pawn shops, to rapidly becoming one of the bigger threats in the Rogue Isles...

Of course, you can't be too proud considdering a ton of people have walked this path countless times before, but at least in your own world you're top dog
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Archnemesis system - I remember Posi talking about this a long while back. Now, it's possible that this simply morphed into the AE system that we have now but I'm not sure. You were supposed to be able to find clues to your archnemesis, customize his powers and outfit and such, and then take him down. It sounded like a really fun system even with AE already out so I was wondering.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have my doubts this will ever appear in CoX, but it is going to be in CO. Maybe it just got shifted over to there?
  18. I would rather see a new chunk of lore added to the game, along with a new EAT. Nothing based on what already exists, no rehashing old stuff. Shiney and new stuff.

I could go for...I dunno...a subterranian race of bug people or something. Aliens have been done enough already, let's get freakish and bizzare!
  19. Upcoming Power Customization (Colorization?) is clearly a weak attempt at breathing life into an MMO on life support. I just wish the Devs would give it up and realize that giving hundreds of people what they've been begging for for years is a horrible move. CoX is DOOOOOMed!!

No you cannot have my stuff. I'll be needing it when I'm throwing yellow snowballs at Hellions...
  20. While I do agree that the MM Primaries are not really Mutant or Science friendly at a glace, I have two examples of how description can be used to overcome this...

The first is someone I saw awhile back who's name entirely escapes me. She was a Thugs/Poison. According to her bio, she was a mutant who was able to mix basic chemicals inside her body and produce various drugs and toxins. The thugs were people subjected to these drugs, who were literally addicted to her. This impressed me, so I spun it around and made my own variation based off the concept...

Sixth Plague, my short-lived Necro/Pain Mutant MM. First, I ignored every attack in Necro, favoring a pure healer/support build. This solved the "dark magic" problem. Plague's mutation was that his blood cells shared similar traits to a virus. This virus had in turn made him rather grotesque, but would not kill him. He infected others, and found that not only were they degenerated as well, but they had also become slaves to his will. Further experimentation with his own blood revealed he could reverse it's effects at a whim, instead allowing it to rebuild flesh. So yeah, those red FX from /Pain...Let's just say you'll need a long shower.

In short: The key to making a power set fit for any Origin is to think waaaaaaay outside the box. Be weird! Be bizzare! People will see your explaination and go "Whoa, that's new!" Next thing you know, you're RPing. Fun for everyone!
  21. Anything resembling Regenerators/Iron Maidens from Resident Evil 4...

I'm not sure what's worse, the sound they make or watching them twitch. Either way, I can barely get off a clean shot at them just because I'm twitching from the things. Don't think I'll ever get used to those things...

But yeah, CoX could go for some creepier elements. Obiously, you really wouldn't want to see these things all the time or we'd have to be called a survival horror game. But I could go for some freaky catacombs or something. Heck, throw open the gates to Oranbega...There's gotta be some nasty stuff lurking down there.
  22. I see much potential for badass Norsemen on the horizon...

    /signed-in-the-name-of-Odin
  23. Grated metal catwalks and balconies. I never understood why we have the rickety wooden bridges but no tech-themed catwalks.

    WINDOWS!

It would be awesome to have doorway options, specifically made to fit in current doorways. Even better would be automatic doors that go "SWOOSH!" like in Star Trek :P

Target dummies. Just like Vaguard's, maybe some variations like more human-looking ones instead of resembling Rikti.

    General smattering of gym equipment.
  24. The general lack of windows in CoX is rather disturbing. They're all over the outsides of the buildings...yet none inside...*Twilight Zone Theme*

/ka-effin'-signed so I can finally have my airship.
