I wondered about that, too. Lucky for me, the only toon I've tried it on is my /Fire Dom. Perfect fit.

I actually kind of like the fire, and I don't have any fiery characters. It doesn't feel any more difficult to justify than any of the other VFX associated with the costume change emotes, and if you're going to have a fire CC emote, the evil laugh does seem like a good choice for it.

The firey-ness is cool. I'm just pointing out the fact that this is a nightmare for nitpicky RP addicts like me :P Just making a mountain out of a molehill, though I'm somewhat suprised nobody else shares my annoyance.
Incidentally, it does look awesome on my Fire/Stone Brute, and on my Stalker (Djinni and fire mesh well, though I wish I could turn it green...). I'm hoping they'll come up with more /cce's spanning differant elements, since we now have Lightning* and Fire.
*NOTE: I'm a tightwad and don't wanna pay for the magic booster...Yet. I'll crack someday.

I did think it was kind of weird that it used fire but at the same time it does look cool. I guess it's good to have the fire one since most of the other emotes use smoke.
As far as elements, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they use Hibernate as an emote.

I don't really care much though... as costume change emotes aren't really something I'm into for any of my characters (Actually, there IS one, but I haven't played him in a while... And EK can use the lightning one as a joke... he used to make fun of a magical friend that snapped his fingers when performing an instant-change).
ANYWAYS...
I too am a nitpicky RPer... However, I just don't have characters that change costumes in an instant, nor in public.
The ONLY thing I would use the ccelaugh change for would be for my villain, Malfaz.
He wears a hat and trenchcoat or a cloak when out and about in disguise... And then, inside of a mission (Or whenever he no longer cares to hide himself), he shrugs out of those things.
An elaugh and costume change kinda of works for shrugging off a cape or jacket.
So...
I must say... As a Nitpicky RPer, I do it the old fashioned way...
I tyyyype it.
You can also make a bind for emoting and costume changing together...
Although, I actually just prefer to type it in on the spot... I can get the timing better that way.

Anyhoo, I used to type it out. I remember my first character, Zeta Silver, and his crazy-awesome "Henshin!" of Badassery. I wound up ultimately nixing it, though, 'cuz it looked kinda silly having a wall o' text appear every time he transformed...
But I'm just way overly detailed like that. It was kinda bad considdering one of his character quirks was transforming at the first enemy spawn in every mission. This is what I get for watching too much Kamen Rider...

It's the standard of villainy. The bad guy clenches his fist, ***** back his head, and lets out a fit of maniacal laughter as he reveals his True Powah to the hero. Classic! What villain wouldn't want to do that every time they change into their badass costume?
Apparently anybody who didn't pick Fire powers doesn't!
I mean, c'mon! Why fire!? Why not somemthing more generic? An eerie glow, a puff of smoke, anything! And if you were a sucker who picked Ice powers, you're really SoL...
