Are you sidekicked? Exemplared?
Are you in an AE arc? TF? Ouro? -
Report the post(s) that got the nasty comments and in the comment box, tell the mods to look at your rep comments. It's a good idea to copy/paste the offensive one(s) if you have a lot of comments.

CoH always takes a back seat when you don't have it in focus. It always sets to normal priority when it's in focus.
There is no way to alter this. -
This is why I tell people to NEVER delete their only/last 50 of each faction...you'll be SOL if you get this bug and have no more 50s, until you level up a new character to 50.

Quote:Grey dots is rep from people with rep turned off. Then again, I also see just as many GREY rep values as well. Apparently the rep scaling can be high enough that some people's opinions don't even count. That makes me like the rep feature even less. Why should helping a new player fix his client and get on his feet count for nothing?

OP, have you tried forcing a port? Right-click your shortcut, edit the target field to add " -port #" (minus the quotes, and # should be one found in the article linked - please note that the space and hyphen at the beginning are IMPORTANT, and so is the space between 'port' and the port number you use) at the end.

I can corroborate Psychoti's findings. I have let my account lapse twice, once for two months, and once for six months. I could log in during both of those lapses, since the only way to keep track of which threads you've read and which ones you haven't is if you're logged in.

Quote:Might want to read my whole postIt is also worth noting that, according to www.ParagonWiki.com, Justice might be a good choice for the following reason:

Quote:From mentioning Champion, we've deduced you're on the North American servers. Please note that since you are in India, your prime time play hours are going to be very out of whack with the standard populace's, which is centered on the United States/Canada. Outside of 6-11pm or so (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific Time Zones), the game starts getting a little scarce. But it's by no means a dead game during off-peak hours.HI,
I am from India and i have just downloaded and started playing the trial version of this game and i love it and wanna buy a full version by tomorrow.

Welcome to the game! -
Quote:There are achievements in WoW now, but most of them are most definitely NOT about learning the lore (or even reading anything). Most of them are for "defeat this boss" or "complete this dungeon" or "defeat this boss with x stipulations" or "explore all these areas".What I find amusing about this quote is, you say (at least the way this is phrased) that in WoW, you can go through the world and learn the lore and earn an accolade... Are you *sure* you weren't thinking of COH and ran two thoughts together there? Given that's exactly what history plaques lead to (badges and parts of accolades?) Not saying it doesnt' do the same thing in WoW - I don't play (it's very much not my style, and I'm not fond of the "community" there) but just from terminology it sounds like you were thinking of COH.
I know next to NOTHING about the Warcraft lore...and yet I have a TON of achievements over there. -
Quote:Actually, Joe Morrissey cleared it up in Canon Fodder:
Yet, there are no citations supporting that "fact" except the one PM from Joe Morrisey that I mentioned in the Freedom Corps discussion page. The only empirical evidence appears to be that she authorized Jingle Jets one holiday season.
Quote:Question I've been questioned for legitimacy for inserting a Longbow ally into a mission for my story arc which takes place in November 2001, 6 months prior to the first Rikti War (#71601). My detractor claims that Longbow was created after the Rikti War, though my own research only says that the group was founded by Ms. Liberty to fight Arachnos (which has been around for a long long time, even before Recluse). I can find no reference to confirm either way. Is there a date or timeframe in continuity when Longbow was founded?
Answer: Longbow is a division of Freedom Corps and was introduced in City of Villains. It was Ms. Liberty’s solution to her disagreement with Statesman’s policies regarding Freedom Corps. Longbow is much more martial and aggressive in its methods. I recommend changing either the time frame of your arc *or* calling the ally a Freedom Corps agent.
EDIT:
Quote:Heck, since the website reorganization, the Paragon Times has vanished utterly. A huge chunk of Arctic Sun and Gilgamesh's lore is gone, except where a few people have managed to save their own copies of it. We're going backward lore-wise instead of forward. -
Quote:With how much things change in the game so constantly, this would only work as a 'binder', so that you can remove pages and add pages. We saw how well that worked (they've tried it before: it was never updated).
Do you really want to buy updates to a book up to four times a year?Quote:That was from a company that really didn't care, and a lack of real official effort to fact-check and keep it updated. The OP's talking about an unofficial effort - player driven, IOW, at least how I read it. Much like Paragonwiki is.
I'm not sure how it'd work out, but get a dedicated core group and it could fly - see also the Titan network, and previously mentioned Paragonwiki. -
Did you turn this off when the dev and comm digests came back? Cos I was excited to have something I could view in my browser even if I wasn't at the City forums.

Quote:This is sliiiiightly incorrect. The XP your pactmate earns for the pact while your XP is turned off is put into a 'bank' of sorts. When you turn your XP back on, you get all of the XP that has been 'banked', so that you match your level to your pactmate's.However even though Bob had it turned off, if Sally earned any Bob got his half when he logged on or while he was logged on.
The best way to think of the effect is this:
If you have xp turned off you do not earn it for your pact but you still get any xp earned by your pact partner.
Please note, OP: It's 'level pact', not 'level pack'. Completely different meanings to the words. -
Quote:Yes there is. The creation or tailor window to colorize the powers shows the animations so that you can see what the colorization will look like.I believe that with I16, you will have the option to preview how the power will look prior to selecting it. However, I do believe you will already have to have the power set chosen for your character. There isnt a way to view the animations for all the powers as far as I know.
-
Issue 16 brings an in-game way to view the powers (and to custom color them)...if you want to wait for live, it'll be a few weeks unfortunately. If you want to do the somewhat-techy thing and install the test server to see it for yourself, directions are here.
Please note that test server takes a while to update its account information, so if you literally JUST opened your account, you may have to wait up to 48 hrs for the account information to sync. -
Is there a certain origin contact that sends you out of zone? Almost all my heroes are natural or magic, and I've never been sent out of zone that I can remember.

Hey, Papa Christmas, do you report the folks with retarded-big avatars? They can be reported, cha'know.. mods have removed several gigantic avatars that I've PM'd them with links to.

Quote:I remember it as a two-step thing. They did a "current accounts only" (active, inactive) thing along with the acquisition, but then a couple months (? weeks?) later, merged them entirely, for new accounts as well.Announced here.
And it was just a few days after the announcement of the acquisition. It was announced as if it was just going to be a one time 'gift' and limited offer; but it was rightly decided to be a permanent thing. -
Quote:Uhh...Kryhavoc? That's Paragon Wiki. See? Look on the front page: It says Paragon Wiki. LOLI have seen various posts about going to ParagonWiki, in my opinion, this website: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Main_Page, is better.

Quote:NO. /help now brings up the help window. /help <message> results in an error in the chat pane. There is a server-wide Help channel you can use to ask questions while you're in the game. To chat in help, type "/help, <message>." I play on Justice and answer questions in help frequently.
/hc <message> will send a message to the help channel.
