  1. I'm not saying "don't do both", I am objecting to your recommendation of the "best place" to get help... it's not Support, sadly.

The Tech Issues forum is NOT for players to goof around (if you look, you'll see there's fairly minimal amounts of goofing), it is FULL of knowledgeable people frothing at the mouth and waiting to help with issues.

To be frank and honest, the Tech Issues forum tends to solve these issues WAY faster than Support ever does, and we have specific utilities players have built to assist with it, which seem to be lightyears beyond Support.

Many players come to the Tech forum after getting nowhere with Support.

Updated the hero, villain, and co-op merit rewards pages to have quicklinks to the other pages under the TF/SF/Trial header.
  4. I haven't ever gotten a newsletter from NCsoft, and my account has always had newsletters enabled.
  5. The only difference is the rank of the mob (minion, lt, etc).

You plow through more lower level mobs, faster, than fewer high level mobs... and a -1 minion gives the same chance as a +4 minion.
  6. It sounds like he's using what's technically a television as his monitor, and TVs always have weird, crazy resolutions, I've seen.

They were allowing anyone to change their names for any reason. They allowed PK to change his name (or rather, changed PK's name for him) like four times, or maybe it was only two.
  8. Keep in mind that Grounded ONLY works if you are solid on a flat surface. On a hill (which the game doesn't count as standing on the ground, due to the sliding mechanic) or if you're jumping around, Grounded is NOT functioning.
  9. You can't upload an image. I don't know why they have the input box enabled, since you can't actually use it.

You must link it with the [img]http://url.com[/img] tags, typed in the signature box.
  10. Since Shia has immunity and therefore the vote would be useless, I'm voting Foo. If Shia didn't have immunity, that'd definitely be where my vote would go - that is an AWESOME piece. (The first one wasn't bad, but I am VERY glad you changed your submission.)

I am so so so glad Foo did Phipps' "tragedy". It fits perfectly. He's such a terrible, awful, monstrous man, it'd be fairly obvious something as innocuous as dropping his icecream would totally set him off.

I would have loved to see Apro's piece finished... Didn't really understand what was going on, other than a hero rescuing another hero from under a car - didn't know if that was supposed to be Mom or not (hard to make armor suits feminine) - until I read the description - the picture doesn't 100% stand on its own, which is unfortunate. At least we got a lesson: BACKUP!

Yes, /hidesearch DOES hide your name from that list, but it doesn't hide you from the total number.

FYI I just did this and got 84 matches and 50 names.

You guys are thinking the truncated part is referring to the total number, it's not. It's referring to the actual list of names. That's why the disclaimer is on there that even though search found X number of people, it can only list Y, therefore the list [of names] is truncated.
Truncated means that there were 84 matches available (or however many actually resulted), but only 50 visible in that search (or however many you actually count on the screen). When you /hidesearch, you hide both from the list and from the total number of matches found (with or without truncation).

You can test this by putting yourself on /hidesearch, then searching for a very specific set of data that matches your character. If you're on a level 15 mutant defender, limit your search to level 10-15 mutant defenders. What are your results? Now take yourself off hide. Repeat the search. What are your results? You'll be surprised to find that /hidesearch removes your entire presence from the search window, both your name and number.
  12. Yeah, you might want to ask this in the Euro Lounge, they'd be able to get you better coverage. Not many Euros visit this forum.

YES...this again. IN THE OPTIONS... it SAYS double influence, which is why I said "it SAYS double influence" not "it GIVES double influence".

    Spectral Terror

target_enemy_next and target_enemy_prev pick random people and then target normally from their (back or forward depending on the command). I have never, in my years of playing, gotten it to reliably choose the closest or furthest and then go from there.

Perhaps it is because you are clogging the bug report queue with unnecessary and excessive reports over a small (but yes, highly annoying) issue.
  17. Not really... I'm just pointing out you're coming at it wrong. Not getting insps when you're SSK'd down? Not really important in the grand scheme of things. Doesn't hurt the game.

Schismatrix's Hess example? Total game-breaker -- you basically can't complete Hess without GM intervention (sometimes multiple interventions) right now, until that fix goes live.
  18. Ya'll might want to edit out your email addresses before spambot page scrapers get them.
  19. No, I'm saying every time the game patches, the potential for game-breaking renews, and the bigger the patch, the bigger the chance for breakage.

    Take a look at this.

No, actually, it's a question of priority. And to be frank, something that doesn't break the game in any fashion (you cannot dispute that) is not high priority.
