Fire, Ice, Sonic with /mm would be much better picks.
-
Issue was brought up on the first page and this was my response as well. Interesting to see the number of people who suddenly get stuck at 22, or so. If you are /fire, I would grind it out till 28 and then maybe move onto higher maps since you have access to Burn. Inspirs binds help. I got my Claws/fire to 40 and my SS/fire to just about 48 and I still get kind of lost in the speed of things with the handling of the AoEs and inspirs.
-
If you don't want /cold with the shields, then roll a Ice/storm instead.
-
I'll just point out that if your budget is 300mil, the LotG: def/recharge will make it a no go unless you are loading up on merits/A-merits.
-
Neogumbercules's can be done all the way to 50. I could, however, see switching to something else once you get Burn. It depends on the primary though. DB/Claws can still use it. Something like SS will want to use FS, so going for the higher level farms might work better for it once FS opens up.
-
I guess the question is does the damage buff only apply to your attacks, or others as well.

Quote:That blaster was so going to faceplant in the trailer, but they ended it. Tutorial zone looks vastly more difficult than what we currently have.HOW?
Gametrailers.com has a tutorial video up, by the way.

Quote:Maybe. Probably. Depending on what you want. :PI guess that's what I'm getting at. Back in my day /NRG was the "best practices blaster." Is MM the new king in town?
I saw you mentioned hover blasting in your other thread. I think /mm is better in that area since you get a cone to add in with your primary. /en is very melee based outside of Boost Range which to be honest comes across as not that useful for PvE content. /mm has a couple useful melee powers as well, but I see no issue with using them while hovering.
Now, if your primary is more AoE based and you want some ST damage and don't mind getting in melee, /en can be a better pick.
The best thing to do is to simply roll one and find out for yourself how much you do, or don't like it. -
At least get them to 10 and start running TFs.

Please use a color scheme that's easier on the eyes.

Titan Weapons was mentioned as being something for after i21 right from the get go. Beam Rifle and Street Justice are premium sets, so they have to be bought via $10, or 800 points. VIPs get 400 per month so if you are a VIP when i21/Freedom launches, you will be able to unlock it.
-
Somebody please fire the editor. I don't think I counted to two on any of the cuts outside of when there was text.
-
It took me a second to figure out how useful, or not this would be. I think it's huge for people doing respecs when high prices IOs are involved. For normal gaming, it's not worth it for 1.6K points.
-
The new sets sound like other newer sets. They stand out due to animations, but not really due to performance.
-
Had to dumb it down for the newbies.
-
If Rad has terrible debuffs for an AV, then we are all screwed.

Quote:You're the second person to recommend MM to me as a secondary.
Do you think it trumps NRG? If so, why? There wasn't an MM secondary back when I last played.Quote:I see that you've already made your Ice blaster, so I'm a little late to the party. I was going to suggest making an Ice/Mental Manip. I've been playing a Fire/MM lately and after I'd gotten a good feel on the */MM powers, I immediately thought that */MM would pair well with Ice/*.
Ice's AOEs are lackluster (not counting Blizzard) and */MM offers 2 additional AOEs. One is a cone that will fit right in with Ice's cone for a quick double blast. The other is a fairly short radius PBAOE, but it's quick to recharge and nice to use if you get surrounded. I always found my Ice blast characters (blaster, corrupter, defender) were endurance hungry and */MM has a +regen/+recov power to help. And as a bonus, this power also does -regen on enemies which is nice if you wind up on team lacking in debuffs for an AV or GM. -
-
And they will make it back many times over. I agree on VO for cut scenes. I really don't need it for anything else.
-
+1 on the burnout aspect. Sometimes you just need to recharge the batteries. MMs do have different play styles. For me, MMs can wear on me due to the luggage aspect. Nothing bugs me more than setting up on my Bots/traps, faceplanting, and then having to go back and go through the setup process all over again.
Currently, doing Hardcore is the best way for me to play the game. It's like speed dating in that you have no expectations and if it doesn't work out, you roll something different. If you end up liking it, you can just server transfer it if need be. Since VIPs will be able to a do a transfer per month, this will be easy to do. About the only other thing I do is work on self PLing some brute builds up just because it's a different play style than normal gaming and it's something new for me to try out. You might want to look at some aspect of the game you haven't done and see about making a character just for that. -
Quote:Let's see. I used Broadcast in Cim. I used the two main channels for Victory that I know of(Badges 2009 and Forum), and sent tells using the search function. Yep. Clearly, I was doing something wrong. I have formed a Posi TF when it was the WTF and while it was vastly quicker, it still took some time and effort to do so. It was by no means a 5 minute job. As much as channels gets hyped, I think just about every person I recruited for the Posi TF was done via the search function. I have added Victory Badges as well since then. And I got a LRSF going on Victory in under 5 minutes and turned away 3 people because we filled on a Thursday morning when it WASN'T the WST and there were at least two other TFs forming at the same time. If it's taking you that long to form a team, you're doing something wrong.
