It would be pretty cool if the one from Target gave you an "Aim" type temporary power...

    Respec Trial

Its not a bad little mission, I run them every once in a while just for the Merits.

I highly recommend using Mid's Hero Designer to plan out your build. It will make things way easier.

An SG mate of mine gets his from Best Buy and hasn't had any problems.
  5. Nope, I save the Banana Hammocks tags for threads about spines scrappers

Highlight it, and use the Insert Link...

If you tell me where it is, I will post the code...

    Tech Support?

Yeah that shouldnt be too bad. That was one of the reasons I bought the MA box set, so I have a good hard copy backup.

    Tech Support?

I dont think its in a missing patch, I think it may be a corrupted file. If you wipe it CoH off totally and re-install you should be ok.

    Tech Support?

This may be a time consuming answer, but you could do a re-install. Hopefullly you have a recent disk to cut down the download time.
  10. But, but, whatever did i do?

I don't know if the button works, but you can ignore people here.
  11. No, its just bad playing. Of course some Controllers feel that Secondary powers are just secondary and would rather focus on using their primaries. Nothing new there.
  12. I too am getting the random red spike in the netgraph while playing. Its not stopping me from playing, but I am seeing definitely slowness.

I really recommend opening a ticket with support for this issue. I think if enough of us do it, then they may do something about it. There's a script they will run you through to make sure its not on your end. If you put it in your ticket when you open it, you can save yourself some time:

Put this information in your ticket when you open it:

-How do you connect to the internet?

-Do you use DSL, cable, dial-up, satellite, or another connection method?

-Do you use any routers, hubs, or switches? If so, could you tell us the make and model of that equipment?

-Who is your Internet service provider?

-Where are you located? Your city and state/province would be helpful.

-Are you on a home, campus, business, or military network?

-Are you using a firewall application? If so, which one?

-Do you use any Internet Security Applications (ISA) such as CYBERsitter, "Net-Nanny," ZoneAlarm®, McAfee® or Norton™?

Then do a HiJack this, and attach it:

    1. Download the program HijackThis from the following link:

    http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html

    2. Click the “Do a system scan and save a logfile” button.

    3. Once the scan is complete, a text logfile will appear in Notepad. Save this file to your Desktop.
(Attach this file to your support ticket)

Then do Ping Plotter for them:

There is a free trial program called PingPlotter Standard that may be of some use to us in determining the health of your Internet connection while playing City of Heroes. We ask that if you are using a router, hub, or switch, to first disconnect this device and connect directly to your modem before running this utility. You may have to reboot your modem and/or computer to reestablish your Internet connection. This program is not supported by NCsoft. You can find the program and information on how to use it at http://www.pingplotter.com/download.html

Please follow these instructions to run this test for us:

    1. Go here: http://www.pingplotter.com/download.html

    2. Click "Ping Plotter Standard" and save that file to your desktop

    3. Run the file you just saved and install the program

    4. Open Ping Plotter

    5. Find the "Address to Trace" section in the upper-left corner of the program window

    6. Input the IP address and then click "Trace"

-If you play on Freedom, Infinity, Liberty, Pinnacle, Triumph, or Victory, type in the IP: 216.107.248.3

-If you play on Champion, Guardian, Justice, Protector, or Virtue, type in the IP: 216.107.240.3

    7. Launch City of Heroes and play the game for at least 30 minutes

    8. Once the 30 minutes has elapsed, please switch over to PingPlotter and click the "Stop" button.

    9. Click on "File," then "Save Sample Set" and save the file to your desktop
(Attach this file to your support ticket)
  13. I have to say, I highly recommend it What server do you play on?
  14. You can put in your credit card info, then go in to your master account and cancel all billing. It will tell you when its scheduled to bill again, and as long as you cancel before then you wont be charged.

    Oh and welcome to CoH!
  15. I'm starting a mission to tag threads with as helpful as I can think of tags. If enough of us start doing it, maybe they will become very useful. If not, well, we gave it a try
  16. You could use the suggestion forum to suggest a "low res" skin as an option.
  17. Don't you know Universal Enhancements are just socialism! Positron is going to institute "Death Boards" where if you get too much debt, they are going to make you delete your toon!
  18. Even if you have completed all your established story arcs, since you are 37, you would have Cimerora and Ritki War Zone arcs that you can now do.

You may not want to walk on anyone's lawn in the US, it could end badly...

I wouldn't stay away from titles all together, some are good, just know what you are getting yourself in for.
  20. Yeap, but at least you can do it now.

    *gets out grandpa cane*

Why I remember when you kept your titles forever, and you had to walk to the trainer up hill!
  21. I say: Play them both!

You'll have different experiences but I think they both can be worthwhile.

Not that that I disagree with your main point, however: You can't see/do everything in AE that you can in the rest of the game.
I'll have to try that one, I didn't see that as a map choice, but I guess I was looking in the wrong spot.

But I did think of another example; You wont see Jurassic in any AE mission. (At least I don't think so)

For the most part I do as Finduilas suggests, but for some super long recharging powers I may go two recharge instead of 1 END and 1 REC. Using Mids helps you determine the best bang for your buck. Some of the Tier 1 powers don't see a great boost with just a single end reduction so sometimes I'll throw in something that magnifies their secondary effect such as a -DEF or -END.
