  1. It's a scratch card inside the box set.

If it's not scratched off: You have a good code.
If it's scratched off: 99.999999999999999999999999999999999% sure you bought an already-used code.

Hell to the no. Do you know how many story arcs there are in this game? Do you know how EASY it is to avoid dying in this game? No, no, no, no!

    4. I thought we had some deal coming with a villain or hero that decides to become your most hated enemy and the fun of him attacking you between missions, out of the blue, unexpected, or simply passing out pictures with your face on it and a big reward? Is that idea dead now?
Your char's nemesis? They turned that idea into Mission Architect, where you can create and fight your nemesis as often and as comically/dramatically as you can think of.

    5. How about a teleport beacon to the safe area of each PvP zone, like in a building or just outside the entrance that we can add to our bases?
How about walking/running/jumping/flying the extra 500yds or so to the helicopter in the city zones they connect to?

  4. In your I.D. (menu > I.D.), you can view in which order you picked your powers. (Inherent and booster pack powers will be listed in there as well, so you'll have to weed those out.)

However, there is no way to know which order you picked slots, mostly because the game doesn't care at what level you picked a slot, because you always have use of that slot no matter if it's placed at level 50 and you are exemplared to level 1.

    A lot.

    Fixed.
  8. V'verse has been down for a little while, I don't know why.
  9. Pre-ED means before factoring in Enhancement Diversification's diminishing returns. Soft cap generally refers to Defense and the various To-Hit math things.

    Numbers....

http://www.redtomax.com/data/powers/ - however, it is out of date, so some of the numbers will be wrong.

    These two are correct.

    Framerate

Nothing really jumps out at me. Your soundcard driver is out of date but that shouldn't do anything to your FPS.

Does the framerate issue carry into other games?

Please supply a CoH Helper instead of a DXDIAG, as it gives us details on your City installation as well as cutting out a metric butt-ton of the unnecessary crap that DXDIAG gives us. Directions in the Guidelines thread.

Sending more than one petition does nothing but clog the petition line. Instead of sending multiple petitions, you should instead UPDATE your FIRST petition.

No you didn't. You can use Windows XP 64-bit and recognize the extra RAM.

It's the 64-bit that's important. Standard XP is 32-bit and can only 'see' up to 4GB RAM, but 64-bit XP can see significantly more than that (16GB, if I remember right).

Even standard 32-bit Vista can't see more than 4GB RAM.

  16. Aggelakis exists on every NA server, and has Empathy or Trick Arrow or Archery as one of the powersets on each one. The original on Justice is an emp/arch defender. I also have Aggelakis II (emp/dark) and Aggelakis III (ill/emp) on Justice. Most of the other-server Agges are defenders. There are a couple controllers. I just really like those three powersets.
  17. Did your old forum account have a different name from your game login? Try that as your login instead.

What was your old forum account? We can check the user listing to see if it still exists.

Actually, yes. It's the same in any other MMO, too, except in other MMOs it's typically limited duration loot, restricted rewards, and vanity goodies (like non-combat pets, etc) instead of veteran rewards (most MMOs do not have veteran rewards). If you were here from the beginning, you'd have that stuff too.

By the way, most of City's veteran rewards can be classified as restricted rewards and vanity goodies.
  19. I started playing the game on my boyfriend's account (@Aggelakis). I opened my own account when he started complaining about my monopolizing his account (@kellzilla). We split up, and his account (with more veteran time and several of my characters on it) became mine.

My current boyfriend also has an account, but rarely plays, so I use it as a kind of second account. I pay for it to stay active so that he continues earning vet rewards and I can use it anytime I want.

I renew @kellzilla once in a while for dual boxing (or tri-boxing if I am feeling ambitious), transferring items, or whatever.

In my examples, I put them in a folder named "binds" directly in my "C:\" drive. I used "F" as a key example, replace this with whatever you want to use.

    c:\binds\hoveron.txt

    F "powexectoggleoff Hover$$powexectoggleoff Fly$$c:\binds\hoveron.txt"
    When in-game, type
    /bindloadfile hoveron.txt
    to start the rotation.

If you don't want to mess with bind files, you cannot do it with the same key. You can have one key for Fly/Hover switching, a la
    /bind F "powexecname Fly$$powexecname Hover"
and then a second key to turn them off.
    /bind SHIFT+F "powexectoggleoff Fly$$powexectoggleoff Hover"
  21. Only in AE.

Outside of AE, EBs don't scale down ever.
  22. I think it's absolutely ridiculous to be having this discussion when the original posting of the image said that it was more or less copied -- that's TA's bad for not linking to the original posting (which sounds like he doesn't have access to, since he's unsure of the date), and several other people's bad for ASSUMING that Juggs hadn't sourced his inspiration.

Art is based on copying others until you find your style. If you don't believe that, you have never sat in an art class.

    PERIOD.

End of story, let's move on before this gets into some big huge kerfuffle like has happened several times in the last few months. We dwell on things too long and people's feathers get ruffled because as the discussion stales, people voice their opinions again and again and again and each time they voice it, it gets a tad more confrontational.

You get at least 2 freespecs a year. You could take the time and strip out 10 per year of those chars you never play; eventually you'll have them all out.

edit: dammit, this was supposed to be an edit of the previous post to avoid posting twice in a row. Stupid being tired and not paying attention. lol
