A point which Arcanaville first made is something I agree with and helps explain the current direction: A new alternate 'leveling up' system, such as the Incarnate System has to first and foremost be balanced against large scale raids. This is an MMORPG, there is no reason why it shouldn't have Raids for those who enjoy them, and it is a bit of an embarrassment that they don't have more Raids. But how will having 48 people in a Raid with these new powers work? That question has to be figured out first before providing Incarnate-level content for soloists.

Balancing for the overlap of 48 Incarnate level players is much harder than balancing PvE content for a soloist. Therefore, Raids first. Solo Incarnate content later.

In the meantime, it seems that there will be a way, though a longer way, for soloists to power up in the Incarnate System. Actual new Incarnate solo content will, I'm sure, eventually follow.

And as the Production letter mentions, new Issues will not be just Incarnate content.
  2. I like that how by the end of the week, it because SOP for groups in the STF to stop clearing the CoT in the Thorn Tree Room and go straight for the vines. Saved a lot of time (since I'm running one of these a night for the badge).
  3. Even the low population servers can manage Hami Raids and Mother Ship Raids by scheduling them. I don't think 8-12 is insuperable for any server. And for Raids, is indeed 'small.'
  4. "Follow the tank!"

"Which one? There are 15 of them."
  5. This is a Raid System. Going by the Hami Raid and the raids of other MMOs, 8 is indeed a very small group for a Raid. Raids are part of what makes the game Massively Multiplayer, for it is a MMORPG.

Another reason why, relatively, as far as Raids go, this is shaping up to be a very casual-friendly, low-server-population friendly system.

What?! In addition to the handful of 'solo-only!' people who make every thread about the Incarnate system into a whine-fest about non-solo content, we're now going to be hit by a group of 'small-handful-only!' lobbyists doing the same thing?

Casual play is not having a lot of time to play or grind for things or not having to invest in complicated systems. It's been known for a long time the Incarnate Trials will be casual, like the Apex and Tin Mage TFs. The 'casuals' have not been screaming. The ones who will only play solo have been screaming. And they need to be separated from the ones who *prefer* solo, but can live with occasional team play.

The only ones causing a ruckus are the ones who absolutely refuse to play in teams and regard a Raid System a deprivation though 99% of the game is still soloable.

All Incarnate content so far has been gated to level 50s with their first Incarnate Slot unlocked, I don't see why even higher 'levels' of the system won't do the same. It's the very definition of 'end-game' content.

You can join the Turnstile with a team or join individually, and you will be placed in a queue with everyone else looking to participate in the same Incarnate Trial.
Just a clarification: The LFG (Looking For Group) Window is not in the Live game yet. And using the LFG window to put oneself in the 'queue' for a Incarnate Trial is called the "Turnstile" by the Devs.
  8. I would never do a Barracuda without a MM or Defender (they both get the temp power that removes R's Unstoppable).

What I like about Barracuda is the ambush of a thousand nazis. Good chance for a Purple drop.
  9. It is a known bug that you can't equip in Ouroboros.

You *can* equip during a TF. You just have to obey the cooldown from last equip or from being in battle mode.

And equip is equip. Whether it's the first time, or equipping one Incarnate power for another. It is equipping.
  10. If Dark is going to be proliferated, then it's time to do it right and give it to every set category and AT. This means a Dark Control which is more controlly that Dark Miasma, which means *new* powers, and not just proliferated ones.

While proliferation is easy, the hard stuff should still get done. Besides, the Devs acknowledged that they picked the low hanging fruit. From here on out, it gets more difficult, but shouldn't be avoided.

But of course, my take on Power Proliferation is: "Get in line behind power customization proliferation to the power pools!"

"Savage" is correct. The six emotes use the commands:

    The costume change emotes are:

    /cce # CCFeatherSpin
    /cce # CCFeatherBurst
    /cce # CCFurSpin
    /cce # CCFurBurst

    The other emotes are:

    /e hiss
    /e sniff
    /e savage

For those who edit the quickmenu or popmenus, the Authentification Bit that allows these to unlock is: Authbit AnimalPack

New Ninja Icon now in game:

New Beast Run Icon will be:

Beast Run has the same exact mechanical stats as Ninja Run. Just a different movement animation.

(Egads, I've been sitting on this info for about 5 months now... it's about time! And it looks great! I'll be getting this one.)

  15. Well... duh!

You can't be happy unless you play video games. And a girl won't know how to do that unless a man teaches her.

    Duh!

The Dust Devil's debuffs are Auto-Hit, but not its damage attack. However, since the debuff includes -Defense, it makes the damage attack more likely.

  19. The datamining in question is this: Blasters were the slowest leveling AT. Why? They were the AT most prone to dieing, which incurs Debt, which slows down leveling.

The situation of finishing off that last foe with Old Defiance was great, but too situational. How many times when you're about to die that you only have one foe shooting at you?

It also encouraged Blasters to live on the edge purposely incurring low hp and thus making them more likely to die. Thus, it encouraged bad playstyle.

New Defiance has a Damage buff that relies on attacking, not incurring damage. That is better. New Defiance also has a partial mez workaround. That is better.
  20. The only thing Stealth suppression should be doing is suppressing your stealth when you're near your escort. It's like clicking a glowie. You can't be invisible to foes while guiding an escort.

That being said, some escorts are actually helper-allies that act like pets and don't cause Stealth suppression and can see you when you're stealthed.

Maybe in the case you described, the Stealth Suppression Sprite was lagging behind and not doing its job.

Rarely can a Tanker pull just one.

Best luck I've had is clearing the LEFT side (why does everyone go right?) and pulling GW first. I do this because Mako has some Stealth and to pull him you have to get close, which also attracts the notice of the other AVs.

Someone with a Snipe or a range enhanced range attack should pull GW while being as far left and back as they can go. That usually brings GW by herself. And might as well start with her, because she's the hardest and if you can't get past her, call it quits.

Yeah, I got it backwards, see the edit above.
