When did Back Alley Brawler become a member of the Freedom Phalanx?

Like, literally, when? I honestly don't think he's supposed to be. All in-game badges and history plaques refer to him as a member of the Regulators. He doesn't give a task force like the other members of the Freedom Phalanx. He doesn't appear in the novel The Freedom Phalanx. He never appears as a member of the Freedom Phalanx in the Top Cow comics. The lore has him seriously outclassed compared to the other seven members in terms of power.

It genuinely seems like come Issue 7 some designer got confused and added him to Recluse's Victory and the Lord Recluse Strike Force.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.

After the disbanding of the Regulators, he was in semi-retirement, but as one of the "Surviving Eight", he, Numina, and Citadel have joined the ranks of the FP. (BAB was most likely invited by Manticore.)

I'll see if I can nail down an exact date from the lore...

Hmmm....

I just checked the "End of the Line" badge info on Paragonwiki since I thought that badge mentioned the Freedom Phalanx members Lady Liberty and BaB saved the train. My memory was in error since the badge doesn't mention Freedom Phalanx at all.

I must have gotten that badge and the Phalanxer badge mixed up.

Best guess, per the ParagonWiki...

Sometime after the Rikti War, with most of the Regulators dead, MIA, or having moved on, BAB joins the Phalanx to stay on and train the newer heroes.

That was around the time that Warren G. and Nate Dogg left Paragon, went to the west coast and started a career as rappers, right? BaB's still cries when he hears that song....

I think he was just teamed with them one day, and went back to their base with them, and none of them dared to suggest he should go home.
