Quote:Because of the unlikelihood of this ever being uttered:
"I hear City of Heroes upgraded base building! I'm gonna get all my friends to join and pay them $15 a month to enjoy the upgraded base mechanics!"Note the difference. Adding features gets lots more press and attention than an upgrade.Quote:"I hear City of Heroes added Day Jobs! I'm gonna get all my friends to join and pay them $15 a month to stay offline!"
"I hear City of Heroes added Ouroboros! I'm gonna get all my friends to join and pay them $15 a month to play content we already played 15 times with all our alts!"
"I hear City of Heroes added Ultra Mode! I'm gonna get all my friends to join and pay them $15 a month to see my shadow in the new water!"
Ouroboros was a way to combine new content with Flashbacks which leveraged old content. Ultra Mode was do or graphically die. Ouroboros and Ultra Mode are arguably essential to the survivability of the game.
However, I'm with you with Day Jobs... meh. But I doubt the people who code day jobs are the base building coders.
A base upgrade would have to be a really big upgrade to warrant the attention of the coders. And as I mentioned above, they did try but failed to make it better.
Actually, I don't think any of the coders who worked on bases previously are working at Paragon anymore, so, you have the huge hurdle of coders learning how the old code was put together before they can do anything new.
Unless a re-try at upgrading bases is linked to the revenue to make it happen, as in a Super Booster: Super Bases 2.0!, I doubt there will ever be any significant revisiting of bases. -

Quote:Actually, I think I remember the Devs talking about how they attempted this and wound up with something that wasn't substantially better than what we already had, and so, that development time went up in smoke. The only meaningful way to improve SG Bases and the Base Editor is to start from scratch and rebuild everything from the tools on up. That's not a trivial investment of time, people and money. It would pull resources from almost every single department, which is also not trivial.

Like super hero comics do any better with end game content?
The Galactus stories are ridiculous, IMO. And need I remind you of punching through dimensions.
The end-game of our beloved comic book super heroes winds up in a hand waving depowerment because they got too powerful or reboots. Lots and lots of reboots.
That should say something about how hard it is to write incarnate level powered beings in a story, let alone translating that into MMORPG mechanics. -

If you enlarge the pic (magnify window in browser) you'll see the RWZ contact is green... a minor icon.
I think Red meant to say "though they show a minor arc icon, the RWZ contacts are considered Major story arcs" instead of "though they show no icon, the RWZ contacts are considered Major story arcs." -

Quote:There are enhancement storage units for bases. They don't hold recipes, but they will when crafted into enhancements.Hello all,
I have been changing a couple of builds on my heroes and am running out of slots on the mules I have to hold enhancements. Heck, Im having problems just keeping them in the email system too. Is there another place I can hold enhancements? I know the vault holds salvage, but I cant believe there is not a location for enhancements or recipes.
Thanks! -
Quote:K, I'll add that in.Actually mission architect contains the "New Warehouse" maps, thats pretty much the only new thing I've seen there
Not really. Quality of Life makes things easier for players. Maybe if the old screens were so ugly they made us ill, then it would be a QoL.
But I'll find a category for them. Already got them in under Missing Patchnotes. -
Move on to destroying XP!
Level up toons to 50 then delete them! -
Quote:That's odd because all of the books are the exact same color to me - a pale yellow. This should fix it.Quote:The books have a colored bookmark that is barely visible. One is blue, the other is green. Or, for some people, one is brown and the other is brown.

We need to teach people:
/bind P "toggle Powerlist"
So they can find the frakkin Grenades and Acids on the Lambda Trial. -

Have you /ignored anyone?

Quote:Go to the Incarnate Window. Atop Power Tray, click Powers. Atop Power List Window, click Incarnate Abilities. Or, /toggle incarnateI'm probably missing something obvious, but I've been looking for a while and haven't seen it, so I'll ask anyway. Where do we trade in Astral and Empyrean merits?
Go to Convert Tab, then Astral Merit left sidebar tab. Then, Maek Stuff! -
Quote:Try restarting the client. Jim should send you up the contact chain to Doc.Thanks for the info.
But this is weird. I click on Jim Temblor and he give me nothing. No contact referral. I tried Penelope Yin...same thing. Even tried Doc Delilah.
Maybe level 20 is too high to start the Delilah Arc? I know Vahzilok don't spawn past 19. So maybe I need to go straight to Agent G... -
