I was referring to their damage output. My uber Defender (at even con) couldn't kill one commando from spawn to exit while my less than uber MM ripped through them.

They also excel at AV take downs even though they may have to be resummoned often, since you have a steady stream of pet attacks stacking whatever Incarnate debuff you chose.

I'm doing just fine with Necro on the iTrials. Mostly because I don't regard resummoning as failure.
  2. While a MM is at a disadvantage in the destroy objects phase of Lambda, they tend to shine in the Escapee phase of BAM. They have specific strengths and weaknesses that you have to work around.

Before you do the iTrials, make sure your Alpha shifted +1. Then go for the Barrier Incarnate power (AoE Def). It helps if you can fit in the four +Res/+Def IOs into your build.

During the destroy objects phase, let your pets die off with each attack. Stealth to next one and resummon. If adopting the tactic of constantly resummoning is abhorrent... then you're being as inflexible as melee toons who couldn't hit and move dealing with Battle Maiden. Adjust tactics.

BTW, the OP's point was the problems of MMs in iTrial content. Anyone who wants to make the point that MMs need a buff in general for all content will get nowhere with that assertion. MMs are one of the fastest leveling ATs in the game.

Not sure if it's the same algorithm of foes, but it's definitely the spawning algorithm of static NPCs. The ones that don't walk around. Sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not.

Acantha, the costume slot contact in Imperial City is unfortunately using the same spawning algorithm, which is why she is sometimes not there.

In order to get them to spawn, you need to move out of draw distance (or zone out) and come back. You may need to do that several times and then they'll spawn.
  4. Yeah, it does look awful 'cause that's not the way it's supposed to look. Don't know why. Does it use IE and is your IE up to date? Here's what mine looks like:

  5. Please post the contents of your keybinds.txt file in your CoH directory.

So, I thought: Hey, those are all java scripts. So, I want and updated my Java, re-enabled those scrips and no hanging anymore.

So, the problem was outdated java.
Update: Still having hanging problems, but not as bad.

Turns out the first two scripts are needed to reply to posts.

The google one is purely unnecessary.

Will see if it stays that way.

  8. Lore pets don't get involved with Supremacy or Body Guard for an MM nor for any other AT.

A MM has an advantage with Lore pets in that they can be renamed (and I think petsay, too). Non MMs can not rename their Lore pets or use petsay with them.

If the Turrets have you in sight by Nightstar... round a corner! Seriously, it's not like the Turret that was shooting you is going to call Turret #23 and say, "Hey, my target broke Line of Sight! You get him!"

    Use corners.

I was just going to post that.

Don't test this entering missions or right after zoning. If you have Stealth running and enter a mission it will continue like you activated a Click Power.

    No living armor?

I just /bugged that a month ago that the LA wasn't statue-like (the way they are supposed to be) but instead, were moving slightly, which takes away the surprise of that mission.

I guess in fixing the rigidity of the LA, the fixed them right out of that mission!

    So... /bug it.

    Purple Set IO's

Once. Every Purple is Unique and can only be placed once per build.
  13. I'm betting MA had something to do with this as far as having maps with definitive beginnings, middles, and ends.
  14. Right.

Join in progress = Join a league that lost members and is now under the minimum.

Rejoin last event = as advertised.

JIP is not the best mechanic and not working as one would think. I suggested already a 'super-minimum' where an iTrial would try to fill before resorting to the minimum. So, e.g., a Lambda, minimum 8, would try to put together a group of 12, and JIP would fill up to 12, but, if none available, would still run at 8.
  15. Shampoo?

Soap is soap. A bar of soap cleans all.

    That is all.
  16. Wow, Clark *does* have super powers!

In a one-minute 'talk,' he can convince someone who was trained all his life to be sociopathic to have a complete re-alignment of values and a social conscience newly formed in adulthood. For us 'normals' it would take decades of psychotherapy and probably fail anyway.
  17. I'm still having problems

Hammering the boards with a refresh when it doesn't load in a timely manner is as effective as a DNS flush. Conclussion: DNS has nothing to do with it. It's the boards.
  18. Actually, if you're going to pull, pull to the wall near the tennis court, not the tennis court themselves.

All the squishies, especially the ones dealing with the adds will appreciate it since they'll have a corner to work with.

I can think of only a few:

    1. The type-stacking defense bug
    2. The labeling error of lucks and insights
    3. The bugged RNG in the mission drop system
    4. The Pool B drop mechanism
    5. The strength of invincibility

    6. The inexplicable Praetorian Event reward table.

I do an event solo. I get top tier. I do it again with someone else who joins late and contributes very little... I don't get top tier. And that's not even the perceived Mastermind issue. And there are other inexplicable cases where the reward table just doesn't work they way one expects as advertised *IF* it's working as advertised and there's something they're not telling us (e.g., a randomization parameter).

It's wrong. I know it's wrong. They say their datamining says it's WAI. It's wrong. In some fashion, it's wrong. But to the Devs, it's case closed.

And the scary thing is that they coyly hint that this mechanic may be in play with the iTrial reward table.

It has to be prioritized to be done. BAB did a lot of that on his own downtimes.

Last I heard, it wasn't on the the 'to do' list.
  21. People are still advertising shardtastic ITFs months after 19 and 19.5. Shouldn't working on Alpha be dead now?
