Mastermind commands work with Lore pets
Doesn't the description of Lore itself already say that the pets can be controlled like Henchmen?

In the OP's defense, my guess would be that most players don't fully understand what that means.
I use attack and goto quite a bit on my Crab's lore pets.
Currently on Virtue:
Jinrazuo - Crab Spider
RWZ All-Pylon Solo Run
Not sure if the answer is well known or not, but will they also split damage in BG mode?
BG mode is thanks to the MM inherent, not the pets specifically. And I doubt the Lore pets would work as bodyguards for MMs and nobody else.

Lore pets don't get involved with Supremacy or Body Guard for an MM nor for any other AT.
A MM has an advantage with Lore pets in that they can be renamed (and I think petsay, too). Non MMs can not rename their Lore pets or use petsay with them.

heheh After reading this I HAD to check since my MM just opened Lore late last night.
1) I was definately able to rename my new Seer pets.
2) They do respond to MM commands and I was even able to use the icon buttons I utilize with my normal minons to give them directions.
3) They did respond to most /petsay_all command except ... /petsay_all <em dance>. This may have simply been becasue they are Seers and hover above ground instead of walking on the ground. But they did talk, etc. Unfortunately to date I only have one MM with Pets so I can't say if its possible to get Warworks or Clockwork pets to dance.. THIS to me is not a big deal at all LOL
4) Even clicking on an individual pet brings up the exact same menu as clicking on an MM minon. I was able to select GO TO and send 1 pet away and then call it back.
Now before EVERYONE gets excited by this news I logged on my Crab Spider and checked her Warworks. While those features work for an MM they don't for other ATS
1) I was NOT able to rename
2) They will respond to MM commands and when clicked on have the same MM menu but no way I know of to get icon buttons.
3) When I attempted to use /Petsay_all command I got this message...
Pet command failed, only Masterminds can give pet commands.
4) Clicking on an individual pet DOES brings up the exact same menu as clicking on an MM minon. I was able to select GO TO and send 1 pet away and then call it back. They can be put into Aggressive mode or told to Follow and attack your target.
They are still a welcome addition and have proven beneficial in numerous trials so BIG deal .. your not an MM and can't rename them George or take them to Pocket D and dance with them.. They only hang out for 5 minutes anyway. LOL

Slotting: Incarnate Slots and the Modern Mastermind [...] Lore Slotting The Lore slot is unlocked by Psychic Incarnate XP, which can either be earned in the BAF (Behavioural Adjustment Facility) Incarnate Trial or the Incarnate Threads component can be converted into this XP type. Once crafted and slotted, this slot will provide 1-2 fully controllable henchmen, much like your existing Mastermind henchmen. You will be able to rename them, issue /petsay commands (although emotes do not function for them), pass them inspirations, etc. same as you can do with any other henchman (though this is not the case for all AT's). Please note that the Mastermind inherent Supremacy and Bodyguard Mode (see "Core Powers: Bodyguard") does not affect Lore henchmen, although any slotted Alpha and Interface Incarnate abilities will (excluding recharge reduction). These henchmen are summoned at -1 to your level, regardless of number of them and will be level shifted according to your Incarnate slotting. Currently, you have a choice of four paths Clockwork (Praetorian Clockwork), IDF (Praetorian Troops), Seers (Preatorian Psychics) and Warworks (Praetorian Robots). As the abilities increase in rarity, the power will be summoning two henchmen at once. |
But that's not as much fun as logging on and playing with them myself! LOL

It's come to my attention that we have access to some new pets in the Lore Incarnate tree; pets that will respond to the MM commands as well.
So yes to confirm, all petcom commands will work with the new Lore pets. Example commands: /petcom stay pass /petcomall goto agg /petcompow Warworks follow def (Seers, IDF, Clockwork) /petcomname Vict attack (Orb, ACU, etc) (If desired you could customize the mastermind numpad guide in my sig to work with them.) |
I tried renaming my pets on my tank and was really bummed when it didn't work. The Lore pets don't really fit conceptually with my tank's backstory, but renaming them would have helped me see them in a different way, even if it's just a little bit.

Drag the icons from the pet window to your power tray. Even without lore pets, you can do this with a non-MM when you participate in a gladiator match in the Arena. And, since the buttons are really just macros with images instead of text, you can edit them with a right-click.

Okay I will TRY that again but I did that when i made my first post and for whatever reason the icons would not drga from the pet window into my Icon tray.. maybe it was just LAG. I hope you are right
