Should be quite a "boost" in the ratings!

Wow, Clark *does* have super powers!

In a one-minute 'talk,' he can convince someone who was trained all his life to be sociopathic to have a complete re-alignment of values and a social conscience newly formed in adulthood. For us 'normals' it would take decades of psychotherapy and probably fail anyway.

To be honest, Cassidy Freeman would look hot in a potato sack, so picking the right dress wasn't hard.

Amen to that.

I think the part where Clark convinces evil Clark to try to be good was a little odd... but not entirely out of the question.

Evil Clark already had his back against a wall now that everyone on his world can kill him... That keeps him from doing the bad stuff. All they needed was that little seed of 'Well gee, I guess I need to behave myself'.. Which... if you think about it... is pretty much the only thing that keeps a lot of people from being chaotic, power hungry morons.

I think they also tried to throw in a little 'inherent good' into Evil Clark in order to show that Clark is naturally a good person and not just good because his papa told him to be that way... And I believe this will be built up in his upcoming "battle" with Smokey Joe (Darksied).

To me it seems obvious that evil Clark wasn't turning good. He had just received the information that the fortress wasn't just a pretty prism but a storehouse of knowledge from a planet with extremely advanced science. Pretty soon he is going to have a cure for green kryptonite and return to being the man in charge.

And Jor-el will support him too. After all even on nice guy Clark's world Jor-el was more into the benevolent ruler path than the be one of them concept that Clark preferred.

But with all the emphasis they placed on gold kryptonite this episode how much you want to bet that they rewrite Booster "Gold" as being a product of exposure to gold k.

Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!

Pa Kent was the one who found the Gold Kryptonite. Even if evil Clark found a cure for Green K... Pa could just take his powers away with the Gold K. I wonder if they'll just leave this part of the story as-is, or elaborate more on it in the future. They seem to have left plenty of information seedlings for another episodes worth... but I kind hope they just leave it be... and let us use our imaginations on it. They still have way too much story to go through and the end is too close.

The show's going off the air in a month and STILL they refuse to let it all hang out. I was genuinely expecting a version of the "world of cardboard" speech and a serious punch-up... but yet again it fizzled. A superhero show about THE superhero and hardly any fisticuffs. Seems to me Clark would have to beat anti-Clark (why is he called Clark again?) almost senseless before he could change his mind. The superhero version of a scream-fest where you exhaust all your rage before you're willing to listen to reason.

And like the Doomsday fight, they've been teasing the cape all this time with no forward progress. If anti-Clark had taken Lois up in the air and forced Clark to fly to get her, how cool would that have been? I could accept the bad writing if only they'd have a proper dust-up now and again.

To be fair about Clark-2 being sent back to his home...he's Ultraman there... from this point on he founds the crime syndicate and takes over the world pretty much. The "good" lois lane become Super Woman too...so not only is Clark's anti-evil speech ineffective he kinda royally screwed the world by making the lois of that world like him and thus more susceptible to fall for the evil clark and become Super Woman...

Another episode with not much of anything moving forward. I get the feeling that's how it's going to be right up to the finale when they hurriedly cram in a bunch of stuff in a haphazard fashion.

Which is why movies tend to work better about these sorts of things. Last live-action show I saw that did any good with this kind of theme was what...wow, I can't think of one off-hand. Kinda scary.

So when CL uses the mirror box to get into CK's universe, he keeps the box with him. But if CK is holding the box when it activates, it doesn't go with CK.

Yeah, that makes sense in a non-logical way.

This was the dumbest episode I've seen in awhile now, worthy of those season 5 plots where Lana knew kung-fu. Surprising, really, since the last 2 seasons have actually been pretty good.

That "nooooo!" as CK is pulled back from the mirror world was just cartoonishly bad

Luckily, we had Tess cleavage.

Oh well, at least this week is Johns' episode.

As bad as the "Noooo! (The suit is mine!)" from the Superman Animated episode "Prototype"?
