Quote:Animation time and cast time are not necessarily the same thing. Usually they are the same or close, but not always. On the animation issue, I've read the claim many times that the animation had to finish before a power would start recharging. But, that never seemed to be the case to me, at least on casual in-game inspection of how powers seemed to work. So, I went ahead and did a crude test tonight about that issue using Neutrino Bolt, which others can (and hopefully will) replicate. The steps I took and the results are given below:
For instance, Dual Pistols>Hail of Bullets lists a cast time of 0.00, because of the defense buff. The animation time is still 3.something seconds. Hail of Bullets starts recharging as soon as its cast time (of nothing) finishes, which means it starts recharging while the animation is going. -

Avira AntiVir -- what I use. Works wonderfully with the free version, the paid version is even better. -

-- Crap Cleaner (currently called "CCleaner", but I'm old school )
-- Defraggler (lightyears better than the in-system Windows defragment program)

I also use Avira AntiVir for virus protection. http://www.free-av.com/ -
Yes, it's due to the power customization fail introduced with Issue 17. A lot of characters lost their customization on costume slots 2 or higher.

Quote:Not only did they reduce the size of the font, it seems like they reduced the size of the enhancement itself. iirc, it seems like 6 slots would completely fill up the blue bar, now it seems like there's room for about three or four more slots <insert favorite conspiracy here>.Quote:Only speculation, but this might be preemptive for the incarnate system....
The new enhancement window at a 4:3 aspect ratio. Note that it looks basically exactly the same as it did before Issue 17, except it's a little crisper.
The old enhancement window at some unknown widescreen aspect ratio. Note that the icons are not round and that the blue "title" bar is misshapen. The further from 4:3 aspect ratio you got, the worse the distortion was. I had ovals for enhancements on my 16:9 widescreen. Player speculation places the old enhancement window as being up-scaled from a very low resolution, so there was pixellation for basically everyone who was playing at 1024x768 or larger, and additional distortion for widescreen users.
The new enhancement window at a high resolution (1920x1080), 16:9 aspect ratio. Note that the icons are round and the blue "title" bar is not misshapen, and it is crisp and clean looking. The extra space at the end is because they updated the screen to utilize higher resolution/widescreen monitors. It's dynamically generated, too; set to windowed mode and you can see for yourself that the enhancements window scales as you make the window smaller/bigger. It's not some conspiracy about future more-than-six enhancements feature.
The abysmally small enhancement level text is the only thing not WAI, although it probably is WAD. -
Quote:The announcement says the patch notes will be available after the patch (the patch notes have *always* been available after the patch, for the whole history of the game). Any time after the patch is included in "after the patch", even three days later. Just because you don't like how soon (or not soon) the patch notes become available after the patch doesn't mean that "after the patch" isn't true.Which is understandable, but players shouldn't be downloading the patch and the notes not be up. So if you're downloading a patch that means the servers are up, unless I'm some how mistaken.
ALSO: If you're downloading a patch, that means the patch server is up, not necessarily that the game is available to play. GENERALLY, yes, the two coincide, but several times it has not. -
I use Firefox with NoScript and AdBlockPlus and basically never have issues unless I leave my browser pointed at the forums for too long (like several hours) without changing pages (like when I go to work). Never have the "remember me" issue, never have the "go to new posts, except the post is from three days ago and I read it already" issue...

I bought three copies of CoH CE at Big Lots two years ago, for ten or fifteen bucks each, when they cleared out a big shipment that apparently appeared out of nowhere. Occasionally large warehouse-style stores shut down or move warehouses or something, and they find weird **** in their back rooms. And this weird **** finds its way to Big Lots or similar "other businesses' unwanted overstock" stores. One went to my account, one went to my boyfriend's account, and one went to a mutual friend. I was very sad that I didn't think to pick up a fourth for my second account. I use the **** out of Power Slide...
I'll be buying every [unopened] CoH CE I see for the foreseeable future if they're $30 or less. -
Forum Rep has basically been dismissed as a forum game by the mods. I don't know why they don't disable it entirely (they disabled the star ratings for players on the old boards). Hell, I don't know why they didn't disable it from the beginning.

There is no slash command. You cannot "call" it manually. Sometimes it just doesn't display and you have to go check out the market physically.
-
They're also visible on the Paragon Wiki, on the individual alignment pages, and on the Going Rogue page proper:

I'm concerned that his beard is manly enough to grow through his mask.
(note: this isn't a comment on the art, it's a comment on the weird costume options ingame.)
Also: fabulous as always, Mr. Bobby. -
Only the AEGIA PhysX physical card can turn on the AEGIA PhysX option in game. The game does not utilize GPU-based PhysX.

Quote:Correct. The first time you complete a respec trial, you get Transmogrified. The first time you claim a respec reward (regardless of how many times you've done the respec trial previously), you get Stalwart Medallion. When you turn in your respec at Jack Wolffe, the text on Stalwart changes. Statesman Star and Freedom Cross always have the same text, you don't have to turn in your respecs.I don't know what you are talking about here. You get the accolade badge the same moment you claim the Respec as your Trial reward. You don't have to ever even use the actual respec to get the badge.
You might be thinking about when you actually use the respec, the badge text changes, but it's not a new badge. -
If you have anything on top of your screen - a bio info window, your recipes window, the market window, AE window... this message will happen. It's definitely not WAI, though it's probably WAD, which is a different thing entirely. It *should* be only happening when you can't actually see the chat window.

Why doesn't he use his personal details from the Aion account? It's not six years' worth of stuff to sift through. It's only a few months. So proving his Aion account is really his should prove the Master Account is his... shouldn't it?

Nah. Turning in Halloween salvage is more like "some chance to do nothing", "some chance to do zombies", and "some chance to do banners". I've personally confirmed this.
-
I haven't even heard either one of those rumors, and I have personally confirmed turning in Halloween salvage triggers the zombie invasion.

Nine times out of ten, your problem has been posted there and you can save yourself the effort of making a new post here. -
I like this idea. It would probably have to cost more than the standard character transfer, since it makes server transfers between those two servers permanent and free. I would probably peg it between 29.99 to 49.99, which is prohibitive enough that people don't do it frivolously, but more than "two transfers" worth, since you can now transfer back and forth for free until the game ends.
SGs I don't care about. It's a casualty of the current transfer process, it'd be a casualty of this suggestion as well. You can be reinvited when you come back. All you'll lose is your prestige total.
Character name is a bit tricky. Once a character has Portal Passport transferred once, they effectively have unlimited renames now. Create a character with the Portal character's name on Server B. Transfer Portal character to Server B, get a free rename. Transfer Portal character back to Server A. Repeat as often as a new name is preferred. I am not sure how to deal with this part. -
Quote:The OP said he'll be showing her the ropes, which indicates he'll be there with her. I would presume he'd monitor her location ingame.Tell a 13 year old to avoid certain place, and that's the first place they'll be going to.
Additionally, a parent could say, "Gross things happen in Pocket D, up to and including people who want to do bad or naughty stuff to or with you. Go check it out if you absolutely have to, you'll see what I mean; it's not a pretty experience." Warns the child of what can happen, but does not encourage the child to actually GO THERE... you're telling them they can go there but they'll be disappointed, which takes a LOT of the impetus to go there out of the equation. -
I haven't had any issues running in a straight line for the next spawn when there are a group of masterminds around. Takes me about two seconds.

Yes, copy to a new folder, then copy (DON'Tmake a shortcut, COPY IT) CohUpdater.eu.exe to your desktop. Right-click, rename, and rename it to CohUpdater.exe (remove the "eu."). Run the updater and point it to your newly copied folder. It'll go through its checksum and probably verification. It will also put a lot of garbage files on your desktop. When it's done, you can delete those garbage files and the updater that you copied over. Rename the new shortcut that this process gave you to something to distinguish it from your CoH EU shortcut.
