LOL @ Aggelakis for thinking it's pogothulu's fault. I blame ....looks at the list...checking...checking...Forgotten Guardian!! It's Forgotten Guardian's fault!

Can I still blame DumpleBerry? Or are we all trying to blame one person? I need to know who to direct my mock rage at, here. -
Now how are we supposed to blindly panic about this if we know you're working on the issue?
Come on, Mod8, give us something to work with here! -
There's no technical reason that flight couldn't go super speed speeds. Super speed is pushing the bounds of how fast the game can render things, but flight could go just as fast.
The balance reason is why it's slower than the other travel powers. If it was just as fast as super speed, but allowed you full 3d movement to the zone ceiling, why choose super speed? -
For the love of the gods, yes!

Edit -> and considering that she's a public servant, you'd think that she'd be listed in the phone book anyways. -
I understand the frustration that many of you have with the constant maintenance window. I really do.
However, the Devs, a long time ago, datamined to find the period of time that the least number of players were on during the period where people would likely be in the office anyways. This was to prevent needing to pay overtime and maximize the money going back into the game's content.
Now, if things have changed, and there is another period of time where this is the case, I would have no problem with the Devs doing another datamine and determining when the new low-traffic period is, and moving maintenance to that time.
However, I am not a fan of staggered maintenance. My reason for this is that it means that people need to look up the different times for maintenance, instead of having it be always at the same time, so that they know. Maybe a stupid reason, but it's my reason. -

Hey, it can't hurt. -
1) Please take out the reference to the site from your post. You're giving them free advertising, and it's against the forum rules.
2) Please search before you post, there was just a thread on this the other day. Here it is. Last post was 6:25 PM yesterday.
3) Blocking out keywords just makes the spammers put spaces or other characters in the middle of the word so that it's still readable, but not caught by the filter. Your proposal would have very little impact on the amount of spam that you get.
4) A better solution: allow players to set who they can get e-mails from. -
The enemy AI is pretty dumb. To compensate, they get to 'cheat' with some powers. I'm fine with this, as it makes them a bit more challenging than they would be otherwise. Usually, once an enemy drops out of his tier-9 power, he's dead shortly thereafter, so I really don't see much of a need to penalize them any more.

People aren't attacking you. They are finding very real problems with your idea. It is completely different.
You posted a suggestion. People will naturally look at that idea, and come up with ways in which it might not work. Don't take that are a personal attack, because it's not.
However, there are definitely things that you can do to help yourself out. Think through your idea. Come up with possible criticisms before you post, and try to address them. Use a spell checker and make sure that you're using proper grammar so that people can understand you. Things like this can help a lot in getting your idea across. -

But yes, I would like more options for the various head choices. As well as completing other costume 'sets' like Steampunk, Metal (tops with skin choice for the ladies), etc. -

Yeah! What he said! -
Well, sure, but also compare balance versus whole power sets, and not just individual powers. Also take in mind damage these powers cause, as well as sets that have holes to the particular mez. Remember that there are a couple of power sets that have a hole to sleep, but not to holds (Force Fields and Sonic, for instance).

Several recent threads on the subject, actually.
Best suggestion on it: allow us to be able to restrict who sends us mail. -
Probably a bad business decision for them. Mainly due to:

$0.25 per hour I think is a fair price. Would allow for people that play less then 2 hours per day or less to save some money and not want to cancle the account...
[/ QUOTE ]
People who play less than 2 hours per day are probably in the majority for this, or any game. People with kids that need looking after, jobs, school, etc. all would play, on average, a lot less than that. Take time away for weekend events or vacations, and you end up with even less of an average.
I'd say maybe $1 per hour would be a better rate, but even then I'd say it's not a good business decision for NCSoft.
At $15 or less per month, that's 50 cents per day in an average month. It's less than you pay for food, gas, or housing. It's also most likely less than you pay for movies, books, or any other form of entertainment. On an hourly basis, you pay far more for a movie. Likely less than for a book (depending on how fast a reader you are). Less than mini-golf, a trip to the beach, or a baseball game.
I don't really think that the cost really needs to be brought to an hourly rate, since you're already paying less than what you would if you were doing pretty much anything else.
And just FYI, I've been able to play for a whole 2 hours in the past two weeks, so don't think I'm a frequent player who's just trying to squeeze you for a buck. It would likely help me out. But it probably wouldn't help NCSoft out. -
Maps aren't usually made until you enter them. So, what happens if you get a "Kill 100 CoT" on a map that can only possibly spawn 75?
Would these missions scale depending on how many players were on the team? When would it decide that? Could there be any exploits to get around this?
Overall, I agree that some kill alls could be changed to "Kill 95%" or so, and be fine. There are other missions that should probably stay Kill All (such as ones where all one guy needs to do is reset the bombs you left there to complete their mission, and stuff like that). But to assume that just changing it to a count system would automatically end the frustration is a bit naive. -

I agree with the option of only receiving emails from Friends, or SG, Not total strangers. Getting spamed is total waste of time and my Global ignore list is full. If there was a way we can suggest to the DEV's to either deleted the email totally, or have the option to receive from certain people. I did mentioen this before but it was in the wrong threat. Can we like petition or something???
[/ QUOTE ]
No, petitioning is against the forum rules. This whole forum is pretty much a way to pose suggestions to the Devs, if the Devs do come a-lookin' down here. -
Well, on enemies that have more than 2 powers, it wouldn't be too bad.
But there are a lot of enemy types out there that only have one or two powers, which you could then tear apart at your leisure, since they'd have no way to hurt you. -
Both of my ears work fine, but I'm still behind this 100%.
-
My big concern would be this: would all of the attacks be AoE, leaving no single-target attacks in the set?
But I agree, throwing around lots of explosives would be kinda fun. -
Edit -> Woops, no, sorry, misread your post.

1) First off, welcome to the game and to the forums!
2) Secondly, the game was a lot more like this in the Alpha stage of Development. However, it turned out that people could create Tank-Mages (high defense combined with high offense) or characters that were completely unplayable because they were too weak (characters with no offense at all). It was abandoned for the Archetype (AT for short) system that we have now.
3) Allowing people to make any combination that they wish will lead towards a lot of Tank-Mages, which means a lot of development time rebalancing the game. It's a lot more work than you might imagine.
