Keyword-blocking spam
1) Please take out the reference to the site from your post. You're giving them free advertising, and it's against the forum rules.
2) Please search before you post, there was just a thread on this the other day. Here it is. Last post was 6:25 PM yesterday.
3) Blocking out keywords just makes the spammers put spaces or other characters in the middle of the word so that it's still readable, but not caught by the filter. Your proposal would have very little impact on the amount of spam that you get.
4) A better solution: allow players to set who they can get e-mails from.

You mean something like this?:
Put in filters that allow us to choose whom to accept Email from:
[x] ALL
[x] Friends List
[x] Global Friends List
Supergroup/Coalition and Game-related emails would always come through. Friends and Global Friends lists refer to the Recipient's lists, not the sender's.
And block Trial Accounts from sending email at all? (They currently can send at level 10.)
Yes, like exactly that.

Amazing, I suggested the exact same thing about 3 months ago and got flamed. And leave that address in there! If the devs don't want to ban it from the game they sure as hell shouldn't ban it here!
I would be a big fan of allowing some basic filters in the eMail system in game. I also wouldn't mind being able to check said eMail offline since sometimes I am at work and want to look over my ingame eMails.
Devs, ban the words in game, if they add spaces, let them do that, make a filter list in the game, if it's too hard, it's worth it. This is the one QoL feature that I'm fairly sure that more than 50% of your game wants and if they don't want it, you have a LOT of people who enjoy spam.
Also, I want to be able to lock in global ignores. I ignore people that annoy me and then a week later they can send me a /t again and track me down to bother me because I had a lot of spam that week. Either make it lockable or make it 50x bigger.

I suspect the current email system is much simpler and less "enhanceable" than either of us suspect, or we'd have seen at least one of those options already.
Why do what you suggest, when there is a much more effective way of allowing people to stop the spam by themselves?
Your way means that the Devs (more likely the GMs) would need to be constantly updating the filter list for these sites. Farmsite.com can become f a r m s i t e . c o m and f.a.r.m.s.i.t.e.com and any number of other variables.
Allowing players to restrict who can e-mail them (by limiting it to Friends, SG mates, and/or global friends, etc.), the GMs and Devs don't need to spend a large chunk of time just keeping up with the spammers.

The devs really need the ability to keyword-filter in-game spam emails.
I cannot count the number of messages I've now gotten from gold-sellers at gagora.com.
There's a lot to be said for "if it's a new account and it mentions a domain listed in vast-list-of-goldfarmer-domains-here, don't allow it to be sent".
I'm at the point where I'm deleting a half-dozen or more messages PER TOON that I log in DAILY. It can't be good for CoH's email system and it's certainly annoying as heck.
