Mez Powers in PvP
Well, sure, but also compare balance versus whole power sets, and not just individual powers. Also take in mind damage these powers cause, as well as sets that have holes to the particular mez. Remember that there are a couple of power sets that have a hole to sleep, but not to holds (Force Fields and Sonic, for instance).

Not that those holes really matter when you look at the duration and the fact that everything is mez resistance now.
I agree with the OP.... from what I understood the strengths of sleeps and immobilizes, fears, etc was the duration..... but in i13 pvp damage is king.... [censored] mezzing, buffs, and debuffs.
Adjust their durations in PvP based on activation time, range, and hard-soft control perhaps?
It seems absurd to me that a melee stun that might take 3s to activate has a base stun duration of 2s compared to a 80' foot range stun, 1.83s activation time, with the same base stun duration.
Same with a sleep being the same base duration as a hold. Makes no sense. The sleep will break as soon as they take damage, yet the hold will last through. Yet, same duration.
Rethink the mez powers...
