Sure, why not. It'd be a feature that almost no one would actually use, but I can't see any way it could possibly hurt anything.
Just put a timer on it like costume changes so you can't spam it.

Also, if an attack is two different types of damage, say smashing/energy, and you have 20% smashing defense but only 15% energy defense, it will use the lower number.

This is wrong. It will ALWAYS...always always always use the higher number. -
Well, they reserve Monday to Friday 8-10 CST, but try to keep it to just Monday and Friday, with the patches on Tuesday.

What kind of internet connection are you using? Are you on a wireless? Disconnecting from the mapserver, for me at least, has tended to be caused from my side of it, with the wireless signal going way down for a few seconds.

I lost my job in feb and still think 14.99 is a good price to pay for this game. Its a cheap addiction And for what we get its a very good deal.
[/ QUOTE ]
If I were to switch to reading books, going to movies, or playing other video games, it would cost me so much more than $15 per month.
[/ QUOTE ] Unless you go to the library(assuming there is a decent one near you).
[/ QUOTE ]
It would still end up costing me more, but mostly because there's a Taco Bell in between me and the library. Mmm...chalupas. -

The Dev's choice and hall-of-fame arcs give normal rewards, so therefore don't drop tickets. Instead, you get enhancements, salvage, and recipes.

Hall of Fame gives Tickets. It was a common misconception, probably promulgated mostly by me ( ), but actual testing shows Hall of Fame gives Tickets.

So...wait. I was wrong, because you were wrong?
wow, that's probably not gonna happen again for a long, long time. -

I think you should all cut the OP some slack. This game is old, and not only that, look how many people have already played it!

So you're saying that CoH is...well traveled? -

Doing so would cost them about $500,000 a month. You think they should just suffer without that money, cut back on staff and content generation, just so that you can save your five bucks a month?

I think this wouldn't remove ALL the 'griefing' (using that term loosely). And an 'olympic' style voting system too would be cool.. i.e. a certain percentage of the votes fixed (5%) would be automatically discounted both good and bad. Losing a small number of votes Best and Worst. That would give you a better idea of what people 'really' think about the mission.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think a weighted system might be good, where a vote from someone that hasn't finished the first mission counts for less than a person who completes the first mission, which in turn counts for less than someone who has completed the second mission, etc.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is actually a good variation on an idea I've been against.
[/ QUOTE ]
My only problem with that is that if the first mission really does suck, and people leave after the first mission, and rate it as a truly bad arc, then their vote will weigh less than the creator's friends who finish it just to be nice. -

We don't know.
Sometimes they give us surveys of what kind of content we might like to see, but that never means that they are committed to what we tell them. It's probably the closest we see to what their general direction for the next few issues is, though. -
I remember nothing along the lines of what you remember.

Hasten does indeed stack with set bonuses.
The point that Dumple and me were trying to make is that if you get enough set bonuses to get perma-hasten, you've got enough set bonuses to have the same effect as Hasten already.
Basically, by trying to get perma-hasten, you must first get perma-hasten.
Edit -> Dangit! Was my 20,000th post really just to mock DumpleBerry?
I was aiming for having a good answer to a question. Damn me and my need to mock the Dumple! -
[ QUOTE ]
Also, it's helpful to know that to get Hasten perma, you actually have to have more +recharge set bonuses than Hasten itself gives. It's important to keep things in perspective: you'll already have perma-Hasten, and you'll never actually have to take Hasten itself.
Having said that, as you have seen, people do it.

psssssttt...beat ya to it. -
Well, the Igneous are just a pain at low levels. I'd try to team up for those missions. Those guys are really a pain in the butt.
However, Caliper shouldn't be a problem for you, if the enemies are around your level. What powers have you taken so far?
For a low-level blaster, a semi-movement power, like Combat Jumping or Hover, can do wonders for you, allowing you to stay away from the enemies a bit more. Also, don't forget that there is a bit of strategy in this game. Try learning to pull single MObs (Mobile Objects, aka, enemies) away from the groups. -
No.
However, the opened up names from inactive accounts from characters that were under a certain level. The most recent times they've done this, it's been limited to characters under level 6, I believe.
It would have no impact on you if your account was active or if your characters were over the cutoff level. -

Thanks for that link. I did mean 95% on the more "standard" enhancements, not 100%. ED hasn't changed it looks like since I used to play.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it hasn't. The basic mechanics behind it have remained the same since it went it. IOs just tend to mess with it a little, and the set bonuses are not taken into account when you look at the ED "caps."
For instance, let's say that you've slotted a power with 3 even-level SOs for Damage. That gives you about 96% Damage Enhancement. If you have a set bonus that gives you a 3% damage bonus, your power now does an extra 99% damage, because the set bonus just adds to the damage bonus from your enhancements.
That make sense? -
First off, your missions should not have enemies that are too hard to fight. If this is the case, you may have inadvertently switched your mission difficulty. Look for the Hero Corp's Representatives on your map (Fortunatas if you go red-side sometime), and make sure that you're set to Heroic.
At that level, the enemies in your missions should either be your level or maybe +1 to you, which should be well within reason for you to take down.
If you have contacts around your level, the zone(s) that they are in should have enemies around your level in them. -
No offense, but this seems like a very basic question. One that makes me wonder what exactly you're asking.
There are a lot of names to the IOs. There's your basic Invention: Accuracy (40) type recipes, and then there are set IOs, that have various names, such as Mako's Bite: Dam/Acc, or something like that.
What exactly are you asking? Did you go through the invention tutorial in-game and read the content there? -

Thanks for the welcome and fast reply!
Edit: ED threshold is 100% bonus correct?
[/ QUOTE ]
It depends on the type of enhancement you're talking about. There are four schedules of enhancements.
However, the ParagonWiki explains it a lot better than I could. -
You can find recipes by defeating opponents. You can also use merits or tickets to buy the rarer recipes or random IO pool rolls.
You can also buy recipes (or crafted enhancements) off the markets, in-game.
You then take these recipes to a university (scattered throughout the City and Isles) and use a crafting station to combine the recipes with salvage to make the IO. -
Welcome back!

1) ED today. I have looked at peoples builds and seen people using more than 3 of one type of enhancement (maybe it is something with IOs which I am not too familiar with their capabilities yet). Has something been changed with ED I should be aware of?
[/ QUOTE ]
Most people are then told not to do that. However, if you're looking at IO builds, a lot of the individual enhancements have less value than an SO, which means that it takes more enhancements to reach the ED thresholds. Remember, ED functions off of the total percentage of enhancement, not the number of enhancements. No more than 3 of the same type is a rule for SOs and other enhancements over a greater value.
[ QUOTE ]
2) On the same note...perma-Hasten. I know ED "fixed" perma-Hasten, but I have seen people talking about being able to have it again (or at least within 2-3 seconds of having it). Is this possible again?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it is possible, but it takes significant monetary input to get. Several IO sets give you a global recharge bonus. The downside is, that by the time you get Perma-Hasten, you've given yourself more recharge than Hasten gives you anyways, so you might not even need it anymore.
Not gonna handle the PVP stuff, and will leave that for others.
