  1. After a year of exclusivity, items such as Wisp and Dark Matter that people missed should be purchasable.

    Two years later, earnable in-game.

What? Give it up for free?!! Yes, cause the train of exclusive items can relatively easily keep popping up fortnightly becoming a gravy train.
  2. Try to get your hands on as many Attuned Enhancements as you can such as Overwhelming Force and ATOs as another option... frankenslot and forget.

    Dark Matter Aura

    1. /SuppressCloseFX is shutting off the Dark Matter Aura and it should not be. The suppression should only affect GFX from powers, not player-chosen Auras.
    2. The darkest black coloring for Dark Matter is not very black... just a dark grey.
    3. As part of the animation cycle, the 'dots' appear small and close to the body and then expand and move away. But about every 15-30 seconds, a set of bubbles appear large and away from the body and suddenly snaps inward. It's a jarring effect that appears maybe to be there by mistake.

  8. You might like this build. There's enough recharge that the pair of two single target attack or the two cones can be almost a constant attack chain unto themselves. Besides, a non-stop attack chain is rarely ever used with a Dark Defender since you need to throw in the debuffs and controls.

The cones can melt any spawn if you rotate in a ST against the Bosses.

It immobilizes and fears and stuns and holds and floors ACC.

It's perma-hastened with 120% Global Recharge... that's enough to get you to fire off Accolade Powers at least twice a mission. Fluffy is a Tank and the Spider is for extra damage.

    S/L Defense is at 50%.

    +ToHit is over 21% for fast-snipe Moonbeam.

This build can solo sweep the level 54 Incarnate spawns by Mot in DA.

Zombocalypses happen wherever players are and thus, could happen in any zone.

Rikti Invasions also have Rikti showing up wherever players are (if they are grounded and not sheltered and not traveling fast). However, Rikti invasions also have drop ship routines which have pre-planned flight paths. That pathing wasn't easy to do. In Beta (and at times when it's bugged), you could have drop ships stacking up on each other ten times over, or flying through buildings, or not show up, or going around in circles. The pathing needs to be created (and fixed) by hand.

Thus, no Rikti invasion for new Dark Astoria... the new zone never got a path... not worth coding it (since probably the devs who originally did that aren't around any more).

  16. Use the free Notepad replacement Notepad++ for editing anything that might be command lines, or popmenu, or help windows. It will not automatically do 'smart quotes' nor will it introduce extraneous carriage returns or other unseen ASCII codes that can ruin a command line of code.

    You are insane.

They don't fix old stuff that only a minimal amount of players use.
    Actually, that is false.

The Devs have, on several occasions attempted to fix Group Fly and Team TP. The problem is that the fixes didn't work.

The speed of those affected by Group Fly was enhanced so they wouldn't drop out. However, the mechanics of following and pathing caused lag in following was then discovered to be the real culprit. Changing *that* would involve serious rewriting of deep gaming code.

The problem with Team TP is the lag that some players have with their computer or network. Just like some people take a lot longer to go through a door in the game, it takes some longer to appear where they're teleported to... which means they miss the next Team TP and drop out. Or even if they TP fast enough, the short duration Hover doesn't apply to them correctly and they drop. The Devs can't just program away network latency.

So, they did try, but came up against barriers that would require an excessive amount of time to fix... if it indeed could ever be fixed.

However, taking both powers together tends to make up for the bugs the other has.

But you have to do Null's missions first. They include bringing Null a shrubbery and chopping down a tree with a herring.

  21. Actually, what I said was wrong, too. The limiter is applied first (which I didn't mention), then the Booster is applied.

    1. Correct
    Ummm... wha?

Booster effects don't disappear with exemplaring. The percentage reduction of going from 50 to 45 is applied to amount of Aspect whether Boosted or not.

    • Team Teleport
If you like, I can make you immune to Team Teleport. You'll be able to remain anchored in space. If you change your mind later, come back and I can reverse it as well.
If you select this option, you will be unaffected by the power Team Teleport, even if you use those powers yourself. Your pets and minions will still be affected by those powers. Other teleportation powers such as Teleport and Shadow Step will be unaffected by this setting. You can reverse this setting at any time by returning to Null the Gull.
