  1. The art's okay. Animation's a little clunky at first but seems to get better as they go.

Iron Man looks like crap though. Yuck.

Jury's still out on the story. Doubt I'll be able to watch this to keep up once it hits TV.
  2. Ew.

I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan, but that's by way of the EU. I was never that big on the original movies, and my favorite one is still probably ep 3.

But I never saw Avatar. Don't plan on changing that either. Hell, the only 3D movie I've seen in theatres recently was Monsters vs Aliens, though that'll change if Marvel sticks to making Thor 3D or for Potter, whichever is first.

Still... sucks to this. They only way I'd set foot in theatres for this is if the movies were also fine-tuned in the process, which probably won't happen.

And I'm also an advocate of the theatre experience, but for crying out loud, Spike TV has a marathon of all 6 movies at the drop of a hat.
  3. Anyhoo, I'm off to some cosplay sites to see who plans to re-create this live. >.>

  5. Cute, and catchy, (soundtrack? I'd probably buy it. >.>) but no where near as DIRTY! as some of you people are making it out to be.

And as my friend asked, ya think they practice that routine just in case? ^_^

Wonder why Cat Woman is in that though. She's not a member of the Birds and the costume she's in is from pre-modern so >.>...
None of them were in modern costumes. Huntress was in her old Earth 2 outfit, and Black Canary hasn't looked like that in the comics for years either.

EDIT: And my guess is that it would be simpler and less of a an adaption headache to introduce Catwoman on a kids show than Oracle would be. I'd have put in Lady Blackhawk, but Catwoman, even in an old costume, still has multiple times the name recognition.

I remember reading a while ago about a similar exo-suit that was intended to allow a single (and usually small in stature) Asian nurse to be able to lift a patient many times their size.

Haha, really?! I'm morbidly curious to know what they did with the "confuse them with mountains" line now. >.>

Though I could swear "La Vida Loca" was on the Kids Bop stuff too.

That almost goes beyond the shameful lack of creativity these pop creatures display...
I thought that was the case too until I noticed someone saying Perry -wrote- "I Kissed a Girl" on another forum. So I looked it up. And no, Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" is NOT a cover of Jill Sobule's "I Kissed a Girl".

Which is even worse, if you ask me. Like Vanilla Ice "ding-ding-ding-dah-duh-duh-ding-ding" levels of bad.

This. A couple of my older characters are still sitting on spam email that I haven't gotten around to deleting yet, but yeah, no new spam in a long time.

The developers did state at the last event (PAX I think) that Cross-Faction groups were something being tabled. Implementing cross-faction groups requires massive amounts of data-base work, as well as complete rewrites to several existing sections of code. The amount of work needed means there is no schedule on when Cross-Faction groups will be implemented, and a strong emphasis needs to be made that Cross-Faction groups may never be implemented due to the work required on the current system.
Ah. Hadn't thought of it that way in my focus on the Power arc. Much obliged for the explanation.
  12. 'Aye, go with a Kin/WP Scrapper. As I understand but am unable to explain, Power Siphon works better on Scrappers than Brutes and Fury.

Now I did go with a Kin/Energy Aura Brute purely for the visual, and while I've gotten invested in the character thematically, I'm not crazy about the performance in the low 20's.
  13. That reminds me, I wonder whatever happened to Nation?
  14. I'm more concerned with seeing the umpteenth re-hashing of the origin than anything.

Well, that and I'd like to see someone that -looks- at least a little bit convincing as a Kansas farmboy. Doesn't need to be a bodybuilder of McGuinessian proportions, but some meat on the bones would help.

And stay away from the homages to the Reeves movies. They were great for their time, but now, not so much.

And for the love of the gods, get Clancy Brown for Lex Luthor.

For someone looking for heavy material, I'd advise avoiding the earlier experimental techno KMFDM. I'd say go for anything post Angst.

And on that note, anything from Raymond Watts/Pig/Pigmartyr (all the same main guy) is awesome.

  17. The cave cake room.

    The fish farm room.

The second mission from Praetor White where you rescue the 4 cops. It randomly alternates between 2 maps. One is a mostly a big block room which isn't so bad. The other is a lllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnn nnngggg series of staircases and winding hallways that the ADD cop AI struggles to follow you through.

And speaking of Praetoria, the "Surprise!" mission objectives can get annoying. For example, suddenly learning you have a glowie to find in 2 minutes on a multi-floor office maze that's also on (damage-dealing) fire? Who thought that bit of insanity was a good idea?

I have a character that I absolutely adore, but if I were to believe that the groups posted on (The VG Directory) the forums here were the only groups, then it would mean that VGs all fall into two categories: (1) Somewhat over-the-top RULE-THE-WORLD!@~ types (Legion of Doom clones), or (2) Merc thugs for hire. These two categories don't quite fit with her.

If you're part of a good RP-oriented Villain group that's active, please give a shout out! I want to find you!
While the group's in need of a restructuring, there are still core players (who prefer redside) from the Supreme Society floating around in game.

And as far as RP heavy groups keeping to themselves, yeah, I can see that. Every single time we tried to work in other groups for RP, regardless of how well things would start, they always bailed or dropped out or just disappeared. After a while it becomes wasted effort and you stop bothering, y'know?

EDIT: I'd also be willing to bet that a lot of the players who are giving Virtue 3 red dots since GR's release are either staying in Praetoria, or they moved over to blueside with the alignment system. In my humble opinion, the people who actualy -like- playing in the Rogue Isles are in the minority of the game's population.
  19. *shrug*

Though he charged full force from anti-hero-dom past the moral event horizon a while back, I still think of Black Adam as Arabic.

I miss Dust too. (And that whole era of New X-Men, for that matter.) The international squad in X-Men Legacy currently still seem too forced to me.
  20. Some of you people have... weird... definitions of heavy music.

Anyway, tossing out of a few.

    Ministry - The Last Sucker
    Ministry - Psalm 69
    Nine Inch Nails - Broken

Anything from Rammstein, but I think Herzeleid or Mutter fit what you're looking for the most.

And for a Finnish version of Rammstein, try Turmion Kätilöt and the albums
    U.S.C.H.!
    or
    Pirun nyrkki

    And echoing
    Fear Factory - Demanufacture
And anything by Devin Townsend. Just keep in mind that his material ranges from experimental prog rock (any of the bands using his name) to industrial thrash metal with Strapping Young Lad.

Builds? Nah. We do run missions in character from time to time (level 21 currently), but the focus is on RP.

AT would be a VEAT or something that could be passed off as Mu.

Personality is a little trickier. Looking for "quirky" to add to the banter, but able to get down to business, work with the team, and get the job done.

For example, Marcus taunts the Widow about using needles instead of real bullets. The Widow taunts Marcus about his lack of subtlety. But the Widow is the superior officer, knows Marcus's value as a soldier, and Marcus follows orders.

And it's really not a crime scene investigation squad. >.< It's quirky Arachnos troops working for Arachnos.
