Video here.

Good heavens, do I love me an impromptu musical number.

To hate Batman: the Brave and the Bold is to hate Awesome itself.

I really like Batman: The Brave and the Bold but Cartoon Network needs to air it more often so I quit missing it so often.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

I was thinking of posting that video here, but I was worried about being banned again for sexual content.

Honestly, that's one of the filthiest songs ever. It's also one of the funniest. And it's from a show that six year olds watch, so there's no reason the mods here *should* take offense...but they have hair triggers when it comes to sexy stuff.

The song was outrageous. I did not care for it though, and still the voices and animation style grate on me.

Sorry Marcian, I just can't get the appeal.

As always, loved the Am I Blue number.

It's not the voices that bother me so much, though i can't stand Bader as Batman. But agree about the animation. I realize they're trying for a certain cartoony/serious style, but it just doesn't work for me. The bright side is that the DVD movies keep coming out, so B&tB doesn't bother me as much as it used to.

That is *way* better done than I expected from having seen the first season. That said... wow... that was pretty filthy. I think "Batman: The musical" from Batman Beyond is still my favorite though. Huntress needs her own show/movie though.

Most shows for kids have dirty jokes in them. If you only just now get them it means you might now just be a grown up ^.^ or at least little more grown up.

Wonder why Cat Woman is in that though. She's not a member of the Birds and the costume she's in is from pre-modern so >.>

Also, the three of them talking about how hot Batman is pretty much a long standing thing. Catwoman during Azrael's stint as Batman first noticed he wasn't Bruce because he wasn't radiating pheromones (maybe that is Batman's power! Super-pheromones) according to her and they all have a thing for Bruce so >.>

And as far as them sounding like sluts well >.> at least 2 of the people in the song (Green Arrow - Black Canary & Batman - Catwoman) I know the birds have slept with and Huntress supposedly sleeps around a bit so ^.^

Though in some ways it's good that not everyone knows the history of Helena and the fact that the series is supposedly set in the silver or bronze age meaning Helena is singing with her mom about how her dad is a good screw... But whatever <.<

Yes. But I think there is a difference between an occasional dirty joke, and a song that is *entirely* double entendres, innuendos, sexual metaphors and dysfunctions, culminating in calling Batman their pimp.

Rumor on another forum is that copyright issues prevent the Oracle from showing up in the cartoon.

It's Batman's show, so he has to win the competition for maleness, I suppose. That's probably why they didn't mention Superman -- what could they say bad about him?

I thought it was a nice touch that Black Canary didn't get assigned any of the punchlines, which implies she's been faithful to Ollie and doesn't know any of the heroes mentioned that intimately.

I've only started reading Birds of Prey and like them a lot.

Cute, and catchy, (soundtrack? I'd probably buy it. >.>) but no where near as DIRTY! as some of you people are making it out to be.

And as my friend asked, ya think they practice that routine just in case? ^_^

None of them were in modern costumes. Huntress was in her old Earth 2 outfit, and Black Canary hasn't looked like that in the comics for years either.

EDIT: And my guess is that it would be simpler and less of a an adaption headache to introduce Catwoman on a kids show than Oracle would be. I'd have put in Lady Blackhawk, but Catwoman, even in an old costume, still has multiple times the name recognition.

Fun Fact: You can make a sex joke without actually sleeping with every person to whom the joke may apply. And you can say "This person is attractive" without saying "He's my pimp."

Here: Harley Quinn sings. The joke in this one is that The Joker beats Harley Quinn. Don't know what reactions that will get, but it felt like the time to post it.

I am wondering... what part of it wasn't dirty? Not saying the song is awful by any means.

I don't think Superman has been on the show yet. As for what they can say about him...perhaps that they think he's most likely a 30 year old virgin? Not that it's a bad thing...

Well B:BatB has a lot of 50s/early 60s style throwback to it if you look at the Batmobile and Batplane. I sense there's a lot of "here are the characters back when I enjoyed them as a kid" vibe to the series without all of the 80s and on dark edgy vibe that invaded the comics.

From a story point of view they might have also done that because I'm pretty sure that is Matches Malone that looks like the boss.

Lyrics >.>

CW: Good evening all you gentleman
Mobsters, Creeps and Crooks

H: Men in Tights come after you
and still you're off the hook

BC: For those who scare and terrorize
it's the dawn of a brand new day.

All: You scum can simply call us
The one and only Birds of Prey

CW: Green Lantern has his special ring
H&BC: Big strong and Little thing

BC: Blue Beetle's deed are really swell
H&CW: But who will bring him out of his shell

CW: Flash's foes, they finish last
H: Too bad sometimes he's just too fast

All: While all the boys can always save the day
Noone does it better than the Birds of Prey (BC: The and Only Birds of Prey)
While all the boys can always save the day
Noone does it better
Noone does it better than the Birds of Prey

CW: Green Arrow has heroic traits. That is when he's shootin' straight.
BC: Hey!
CW: I'm just sayin'

BC: Aquaman is always courageous
H: His little fish, less outrageous

BC: Plastic Man can expand
All: Becomes putty in our hand

All: While all the boys can keep you punks are bay
Noone does it better than the Birds of Prey (Goons: The and Only Birds of Prey)
While all the boys can save the day
Noone does it better
Noone does it better than the Birds of Prey.

CW: Batman throws his batarang
What a weapon. What a Bang
BC: Check out that Utility Belt
Sure can make a girl's heart melt
H: He's always right there for the save
I'd like to see his secret cave

All: Well Batman does things in his special way
He'd do it better with the Birds of Prey (??: The one and Only Birds of Prey)
While Batman always seems to save the day
Noone does it better
Noone does it better than the Birds of Prey
Birds of Prey

Oh there's innuendo all right, but I was expecting 1000 Ways to Die type stuff by the way the clip was getting hyped..
