I can remember my first GM and seeing all these heros come to take down Paladin in Kings Row. The horrid grind and the push to get my first level 50 in 3 months and at the end an almost 24 hour marathon over a 2xp weekend. The kick *** teams running on rugged, and the super group that missed out on 2xp weekend to come to my wedding (yes it was a small SG)
Global Shift and Victory Global I have no words for you guys except thank you. We're all a little nutty and the amount of laughter from chats and on vent can not be replaced. The master runs, ship raids, and late night ITFs with Beer have no equal.
From Herocon to Dragon Con I've met some some awesome people and had some great times. I've had more than a few come down to NY and even one special person come from Europe to meet us and have a good time. Some people have been there through some of the best moments of my life and continue to be there and are more than just friends they are family.
It will be a sad day when the servers go dark, but I will take with me the wonderful friendships and friends that I've made in the almost 6 years I've been playing.

The thing that scares me the most is manhattan is so unstable with all these tunnels under our feet. I dont think I'll be taking the subway for a day or two just to feel safe

Is it till Aug 28th or the 25th? On Twitter and FB you guys say the 25th but here on the forums you said the 28th

actually 60 month can get it at lvl 6 but i suspect that mids is updating for 21 already when you can get it at lvl 4 regardless of vet level

Honestly I really don't get the fuss. Yes people make plans for 2xp and it sucks they canceled it on such short notice but at the end of the day its just a game. For every weekend they could possibly pick there is always going to be people who wont be able to participate for a variety of reasons. What works for me doesn't work for others and what works for others doesn't always work for me. Sadly they can't schedule these things at the convenience of every single person who plays this game.

For Victory I would suggest you try Victory Badges and the overflow channel Victory Badges 2009 and victory forum. all three are active channels with lots going on all the time

wow that is awful! and sorry you had to experience this. Sadly with the WTF more and more people are coming out of the woodwork and I've heard many horror stories of bad TFs and some really bad behavior.

Please dont let a few bad apples spoil the joy in the rest of the bunch. and if you ever make it to Victory hit me up @zerlina and I can definately assure you of a good community and fun players and active channels

Not sure if this counts as a bug but under heads Animal Birds only getting the choice for eagle instead of for Eagle hawk and vulture. Under heads Animal Big Cats- Medium size only getting option for Cheetah and Panther. Under Animal Big Cats-Large size only getting option for Lion and Tiger heads.
Also not sure if this is intended but unless you are using the monsterous bottom there is no option for boots to give you animal feet.

another good way is for everyone who wants to purchase one for your friend paypal them the money and then they can use the money in thier pay pal account to purchase the boosters.

Victory actually has a thriving population. As suggested joining the global channels is a great help. There also seems to be less people starting new characters in Praetoria than in the regular zones like Atlas or Mercy on Victory.

Sad to see you go ocho. Forever will i remember how they gave you a number and took away your name. Best of luck with your future endevors.

I've met quite a few folks in person both at Herocon 09 and when some of us got together at Dragon Con 09 and even more at Dragon Con this year as well as the random we live near each other lets just get together. Like Chad I was psyched to go to the CoH buddies party but the timing of the event made travel costs prohibitive for me so I couldnt attend and was sad to miss out on meeting several of our in game friends.

I even had a few friends come out to visit over the summer, even one from Europe and it was a blast. Our group has a vent server so its not that akward when we finally get to see each other face to face. Just an extension of our usual wack ways.

It really was all in good fun. I didnt need to spend money for a master cuda but the funds are all going to a good cause and its like a jolt of guilt free shopping. No credit card bills coming in later!

I went through this after I got married three years ago and no dice. I even asked face to face while I was at the 2009 Herocon and no dice. There is no changing the name on the account. Aside from the annoyance of seeing my old name on the account I havent run into any issues with my credit cards and billing so I gave up on getting my name changed.
