Oh how they taunt us. Psionic Melee... so close, and yet so far.
Now we just need a proliferation of Illusion Control to Dominators to go live on November 30th, and the irony would be complete.

I am not a huge fan of melee, but I had planned on buying Psi Melee. My only melee toon is my staff/nrg scrap. I was thinking either a Psi/WP or Psi/Inv brute when I first heard about it. I hadn't settled on a name and was considering using my defender's name: I Forgot My Prozac.

I really liked what Synapse had going for Psionic Melee, and the many other awesome sets in the pipeline.
It's sad that so many new powers came out at this stage of CoH/V's life.
Does this sort of thing qualify as "death throes" for an MMOG?

Psionic Melee has also appeared in the live client, in the same situation as Bio Armor and Sorcery (that is, unbuyable).
It would have been interesting, if the numbers weren't changed before release, because it had a 40-foot ranged confuse attack and a 100% Mag 3 hold in its Tier 8 attack.

I never got to play with Psionic Melee, alas. When I first heard about it, I didn't think it'd be very fun. But once I saw the incredible VFX work Leo "Honey Badger" Can't Spell His Last Name put into it, I knew I had to check it out.
I'd probably have made at least one Matrix-homage character for marketing assets.
